  • Detailed installation video of off-road exhaust pipe and custom tunes for the 6.7 Powerstroke Diesel
    FOR OFF-ROAD USE ONLY!
    In this video we remove a DPF system from a farm & ranch pickup, showing you just how simple it is to swap out a "race pipe" and install the 100hp ECM/TCM tunes from GDP with the EZ Lynk Auto Agent programmer.
    This pickup has a drop-in filter, leveling kit, 37" tires, and was getting just over 13mpg prior to the DPF delete and tune install. The first full tank of fuel netted almost 20mpg!

    The 2007+ MY diesel emission systems are insanely stupid and do not reduce emissions significantly. Here is the other dirty little secret: Go look at the typical 2007+ MY diesel ambulance or fire dept. vehicle. Nearly all of them have the DPF deleted. Why? Because those trucks' duty cycle requires them to idle for extended periods and that will easily foul the DPF. Emergency vehicles can't afford to go into "limp mode" or shut down in the middle of an emergency, so most emergency agencies (quietly) delete the DPF and other trouble-prone emission components. If the feds start going after vehicle owners for deleting emission systems, they will find tons of local, state, and federal emergency agencies are top "offenders."

    • @tonysprojectgarage
      @tonysprojectgarage  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I don’t have links, unfortunately. A google search will yield multiple exhaust pipe options between $250-$400 depending on material. For the tunes, you get the EZLynk and then purchase a “support pack” with all the tunes accessible through the cloud. When you have it set up, it’s a fast and easy download to select any of the tunes you want to load into the truck. Very simple and straight forward.

      I wouldn't mess with the engine compartment at all. Sometimes they raise the hood, even in states like Louisiana where they don't do emission exhaust testing except in a few counties, just to see if anything has been changed or modified from the stock set up. They did that to me one time.
      Another problem might be a dealer not being able to repair a vehicle which has been modified. I would keep that in mind, especially while the vehicle is still in warranty. I would keep those very expensive parts, and protect the wiring and connectors under the vehicle. You never know what the future may be like. Crazy laws could be passed.

    Do a delete you do not gain hardly any mileage other than you don’t have the upkeep or the maintaining the the smog device trust me I did it. I loved it, but I didn’t gain mileage.

      That’s odd. Last 3 have all picked up significant mpg. Either way, even with no mpg gain, this is so much better for the engine. Thanks for watching!

      That seems to be the increase for mixed city & highway driving. Definitely worth it!

      For the EGR, yes. But you still need to swap the pipe for everything to work properly
