      Coconut oil dries out my son's skin. He has eczema and even though alot of people say it's so good for people with eczema, that is not the case for my son. I've used Babassu oil and it has worked great too.
      Just wondering, how you combat the grains? It's nice and smooth for me at the beginning but over time, grains develop when I have a high percentage of butters.
      Thank you, I enjoy watching your videos.

    It feels so luxurious and the Arrowroot really cuts down the greasiness and helps absorbtion.

    You could omit the coconut oil altogether, the rest of the butta's in this whip are sufficient the only other thing I would leave out is the arrowroot powder, for me using the lighter oils help with quicker absorption and are not greasy or oily feeling.

    Hi, Ellen. This is my very first time ever seeing, watching and responding to a video from you! I must say it was a pleasure browsing thru your comments and realizing that you answered 99.9% of all of them! It's very annoying and time consuming to watch, like, comment and possibly subscribe to an author that appears to ignore your question or comments! Just like it's time consuming to make a video and answer the same question a hundred times! With respect to you, I check comments to eliminate double answers. I was shocked to see that you answered so mant! With that in mind, I'm subscribing to you! Thank you!
    also with that in mind l do have a question! When substituting arrowroot powder with cornstarch, is the measurement (4 Tbsp) the same?

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching❣️ I do read all the comments and try to answer most😉 Yes, if you sub with cornstarch, the measurements are the same.

      If you're using fresh ingredients, I suggest using within a year of making.

    Miss Ellen, how do you "beat the heat" when shipping heat sensitive products?

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When I sold retail, I would not sell straight body butters in the hot months. I make an emulsified body butter that is great for shipping year round.

    Id use Babassu oil to replace the Coconut oil. They are very similiar in texture and composition makeup. You can find it at most skin care suppliers. Wholesale Supply Plus, Soapers choice, etc. will carry it. I use Camillia seed oil, but it is expensive therefore it's a luxury product and I charge more for it. I also use Optiphen in my body butter. I yse Tochopheral MT-50 instead of Vitamin E, it is a true antioxidant that prorects those beautiful oils and butters at .5%. That's my advice.

    Thank you so much for sharing all your wealth of knowledge.
    I am from Australia so we use grams and conversions is somewhat here and there.
    Would you be able to share in percentages so that we can adjust easier ?
