Ok. I seriously want a video just on your skin care routine. You are so beautiful...I am not even kidding a little bit. I'm 48 and you have literally changed my life (I'd love to share how someday) I'm trying to go with all natural look and I'm not pulling it off 😅😅😅
Lovely texture! I noticed you infused the camomile with rice bran, but later said almond oil and then added more rice bran oil along with the infused rice bran oil?
Thanks for a gorgeous natural recipe. I used that red tube, paw paw ointment instead of petroleum jelly, as a lip balm and for my baby too. Thanks Ellen.
Thank you for another great recipe. With my super-dry skin, petrolatum was my usual last resort, but now I can make a nice alternative! Now my skin will truly be "as smooth as a baby's bottom." 🥰
Thank you, Ellen!! In the winter months, I apply a thin layer of oil instead of lotion and you can imagine the mess I make with runny oil. This is perfect!
Ellen, Thank you so much for sharing the baby recipes. I’m awaiting my new grand baby in May and I will be tasked (with love) to make all of his bath & body care items. ❤
Thank you for sharing this lovely recipe,I will be trying this out I have tried some of your recipes and WOW they are fabulous. Thank you for sharing😊Xx
I'm thinking there is a slight error with the oils? You infused chamomile leaves in rice bran but then you said the infused oil was almond when you were adding it and then you added rice bran oil to the mix. Looks lovely regardless though! ❤
Hi Ellen, love your videos. ❤ Just wanted to let you know that Formula Botanica says to use a 70/30 alcohol solution for sanitizing because the 99% evaporates too quickly to be effective. I guess more is not always better. I certainly was surprised.
Another TN gal here - souther middle tn (borm in MI but we moved here in the 80's) Thank you for all your Great Amazing videos! You helped me raise my skin care up about 100 notches! ❤
I started looking for a baby cream without petroleum for a new grandbaby due in March and here you are making one! It's like you read my mind 😊. I will probably tweak it a bit to make a creamier product. Thank you!
@EllenRuthSoap I guess it would be fine if its #2 plastic. It happened to me with the bramble berry jars when i out them on the to rack in the dishwasher
Thank you so much for this video! After watching your lavender and caffeine eye cream video, I was wondering if you could formulate a cleansing cream for the face. Thank you, again. ❤
I also noticed, you infused with rice bran oil, then later stated you infused with almond oil and then add rice bran from the bottle and the infusion you said is almond.😂😂
I just got confused with the oils you initially used rice bran for the infusion but on adding to beeswax you said almond oil then added more of almond & rice bran … did you re do the first part for some reason??
I have some chamomile infused olive oil. How much would I use? Or swap it 100% for one of your oils? If I use that, which of your other oils would you recommend I use? Or could I do 50/50 of the ones in your recipe? First grandbaby coming in May!
71% alcohol is actually better for sanitizing, because it has the correct ratio of water. 91% does not, so what happens is the alcohol evaporates before it kills the germs. Intuitively, we would think that higher percentage would be better to kill germs, but this is not true
@@EllenRuthSoapEsa información es correcta, de hecho el alcohol al 70 % por ciento es el adecuado para desinfectar mucho mejor que el de 96 % aunque parezca contradictorio.
Thank you for the recipe!! Please do not use essential oils from Amazon without doing your research. It takes about 11pds of fresh lavender to make 1 ounce. I doubt that this is pure lavender. Maybe not the best choice.for a baby
Thank you so much, I just made this for my great nephew. I left it unscented at my nieces request.

Thank you so much🥰 My studio lighting is very flattering, if you met me you'd see wrinkles😉
I think exactly the same. 👍👍👍👍
This recipe is also really fine with calendula
She is gorgeous I’m sure inside and out. That kind of beauty is timeless.
I haven't seen you in a while. It is so soothing listening to you! I wil be watching a lot of your videos today. 🎉
I just came across your channel the other day and i am so excited that i found it.
Welcome!
I’ve got a new grandbaby coming in June, so I’m very excited to try this one out!
Congratulations, that's so exciting! ❤️
Lovely texture!
I noticed you infused the camomile with rice bran, but later said almond oil and then added more rice bran oil along with the infused rice bran oil?
Sorry about the confusion, I already had some infused almond oil too, and used both in this.
@@EllenRuthSoap ahhh thank you:)
Thank you for sharing your amazing recipes openly, I greatly admire your level of excitement while producing your recipes.
I’m so glad you enjoy them! 💕
Beautiful balm for those baby bums❣️❣️❣️❣️
Love this but please clarify..did you use bran oil to infuse or almond oil.
You said bran oil at start then added almond infusion during making🌷
Sorry for the confusion, I had some infused almond oil from a previous project, so I used both in this..
Thanks for a gorgeous natural recipe. I used that red tube, paw paw ointment instead of petroleum jelly, as a lip balm and for my baby too. Thanks Ellen.
Glad to see you using infused plant material in your baby balm.I love making soap with infused plant oils . Moringa makes a super creamy sudsy soap.

I was wanting to make a vaseline alternative.

Thank you for sharing great recipe Ellen, I will definitely make it .Can you please make any balm for cracked heals /foot cream .
This recipe is similar to my lip balm. More castor in this though. 😊❤

That’s good to know👍
Thank you for sharing, I will give this recipe a try! I do the same cleaning process as you it works really well.
Definitely going to try this recipe!

Awesome! Thank you!💕
I have learned so much from you. Thank you so much and many blessings ❤
You are very welcome! 😊
I think I am going to make it with olive oil infused with camomile & calendula for extra healing😊
Sounds wonderful!
I started looking for a baby cream without petroleum for a new grandbaby due in March and here you are making one! It's like you read my mind 😊. I will probably tweak it a bit to make a creamier product. Thank you!

Awesome ❤

Great recipe! Excited to try it! Thank you 😊
I hope you love it! 💕
I will make it, looks great! Thank you, Ellen!
Hope you enjoy💗
@EllenRuthSoap I tried a few other recipes from you(natural deodorant, lip balm, body butter) and all are great. 🥰
I just love your channel. Thank you for sharing your recipes. If plastic is melting i wonder how much if the toxins go into the balm.
I would not recommend using plastic after what happened to mine🤣
@EllenRuthSoap I guess it would be fine if its #2 plastic. It happened to me with the bramble berry jars when i out them on the to rack in the dishwasher

Great suggestion 💗
Did you infuse with almond or rice bran? I think it was rice bran.
Rice bran
Rice Bran
I also noticed, you infused with rice bran oil, then later stated you infused with almond oil and then add rice bran from the bottle and the infusion you said is almond.😂😂
Most of the essential oils are not good. The ones are expensive so you can have it for your babÿ
I just got confused with the oils you initially used rice bran for the infusion but on adding to beeswax you said almond oil then added more of almond & rice bran … did you re do the first part for some reason??
Sorry about the confusion, I already had some infused almond oil too, and used both in this.
Should I lower the beeswax content if I add use an infused butter?
I would keep the beeswax the same, it adds the structure to the finished product.
How much zinc oxide for baby rash please ?
I would start with 5%
Can I use all infused oil in place of castor oil or will that change the consistency?
You could, I suggest trying a small test batch and see how you like the finish.
Oh and I used infused calendula flowers instead 😅
How much percentage of zinc oxide would u suggest putting in..
I would stick to a lower % like 5% or so..
Can I use olive oil?
Yes👍

Yes, you can use it in place of any or all of the liquid oil portion. Congrats on the new grandbaby💕
Did you use rice bran oil or almond oil for infusing the chamomile
I actually used both, I found some almond oil that I had infused earlier so I add that too.
@ thank you! I got a little confused in which one was right, or if I missed something.
Are the benefits equally as good?
71% alcohol is actually better for sanitizing, because it has the correct ratio of water. 91% does not, so what happens is the alcohol evaporates before it kills the germs. Intuitively, we would think that higher percentage would be better to kill germs, but this is not true
This is really good info! I'll be using the 70% in the future.
True! Learned that from the shut down. Great video!
