It isn't perfect but the gimbal works better than the few other $200 or less gimbal drones I've flown (very few $200 or less gimbal drones even exist). Oh nice. An extra 5% off helps. 👍👍 I'm happy with it. I got a very Good deal on it. So made it better.
My only gripe is the gimbal switch, it doesn't ROLL, it clicks when you pull down or push up on it. But that's it. For under $200 it's great.

@@RDsRCReviews I actually got a 35% off coupon from HS directly because I had problems with the first two. Lol. So I got it for way under $200. That's why I'm very happy with it now the 3rd one finally works perfect. It's my go to when I don't need the range and 4k from my Mini 2. So it's the best backup for recreational flying, and whatnot. 👍👍

It may not be the steadiest Drone out there, but to me it’s got a Great camera and video for the money ! I really like how the gimbal works. Like you said, looks smooth. Thanks so much Robby! For $198 this one is tough to beat. It is finally cold tonight and oil be in the 20's tomorrow then maybe single digits by the end of the week do that green should quickly be gone lol. It is usually yellow by January but the unusually warm December kept it green and growing. I actually should have moved it again.

@@RDsRCReviews My second Holy Stone, is the HS360 I just bought from Amazon. My HS700E flies flawlessly. This one is a nightmare. Set it up, calibrated, logged into the app fine. Locked onto 17 GPS satellites. But in an open field on take off, it starts toilet bowling and became progressively unstable. Increased altitude to get it to calm down, then totally lost control. Hit return home, it circles then crashes hard on the street. I recalibrate and send it up twice more. Both times crashed in the field after going berserk. My 5 yr old manually controlled Latrax Alias is far more stable with no GPS guidance.
@@thelaundryroom7556 that is unfortunate. I don't seem to recall having those issues but you should return it and get the 720G instead. It flies great and the gimbal and camera are much better though I did have some issues with the Wi-Fi and sdcard on my first unit but the replacement has been perfect.
The drone itself isn't the most stable, but the video is. That's what really counts!!! 👍👍
The gimbal isn't perfect though. It has occasional shakes and the horizon gets tilted at times but for $200 can't complain too much.
Watching this just makes me irritated. I bought this drone for myself for Christmas and returned it Monday. Drifted all over the place like yours did initially. Now I’m convinced I must not have done the calibration or set up correctly even though I did the process twice. The video from the drone is excellent and steady. Very stable. I’m looking at the HS720E but now I’m thinking I might give the HS360 another try.

Thanks! It does tend to drift. It isn't the most stable drone but as you saw I had to do the compass calibration twice. After the first time it was toilet bowling bad. After the second calibration it was fine though it did still tend to drift and it doesn't brake particularly well. The 720e is awful and will fly off on you at times. It stuffers from phantom controls. You can get the HS360 for $198 now if you use my purchase link and then clip the $20 off coupon and then apply the 5% off code at checkout.

Just try the 360 again. They are mass produced, so a decent percentage are gonna be lemons. I returned 2 before the 3rd one was perfect.
ALWAYS do the compass 🧭 calibration in counter clockwise. I never have to do it twice.
Maybe I'm missing something but I just bought this drone and it is $269 on Amazon in the US. I did get it $249 with a $20 off coupon so still not a bad price. I looked at several websites for this drone and did not see it anywhere for $200.
That's because Holy Stone is an Amazon seller pretty much exclusively so the other places you are seeing it listed are likely 3rd party sellers reselling it. The coupons I include with my HS videos come directly from HS themselves.
The EIS is for the pretemd 3rd axis. So the yaw of the drone.
You can't use EIS on the yaw as that is a 3D or Z axis. EIS only works on the X and Y or pitch and roll axises.
The follow me mode never works for me. The GPS follow me, sorta works but it's horrible. Any tips?
That's odd, it worked for me. Make sure the GPS is enabled on your phone (years ago you could turn off GPS to save battery on your phone but I'm not sure that's possible anymore). Otherwise I'm not sure why it wouldn't work right.

Yes! The 720e has phantom control issues and will occasionally fly away and crash on you.

@@garyjohnson9196 I paid $300 Australian dollars, they average around $450 here atm. I'm sure they will get cheaper as Christmas approaches, though. And I'm very happy with the Mini SE. I can't say enough good things about it.

Does its flight weight require it to be registered?
If you are located in the USA then yes you must include your FAA registration # on it since it weighs over 250g.
Very helpful review, but I read 2-Axis provide a lesser stable video??! Also, you paid $200 but it is interesting to see how they are advertised as $210 a "Black Friday" deal on Amazon today 11/24/2022 where they crossed off the $300 on Amazon as they claim it used to cost! Marketing scams by sellers?
Yeah, unfortunately that's a very common advertising technique. I wouldn't call it a scam though.

I'm not sure tbh. I don't usually test the flight time on GPS drones. The product listing on Amazon will have an estimated flight time listed.
