I'm so happy I watched, I just purchased this yesterday through Amazon w 100$ off! I did tons of research, and this one came up several times with near 5 star reviews. On the HS720E, the landing lights can be toggled on and off with a button on the right-hand shoulder of the radio. Not sure if the same procedure is employed here, but this *IS* a Holy Stone product. 😁
I purchased the HS600 in July and I love the way this things flies, so much fun. The blue and white LED's on the arms looks good and bright at night time and it can record your voice audio on video (through the controller) while flying. I also own a mini 2. I like them both. I'm keeping the HS600 for the speed and long-lasting batteries and extra features.

It looks like a redesigned F11 Pro Gim. It shoots nice video and the price point is nice for those looking to get a decent entry level drone with features not available on the budget DJI mini drones though at this price I would probably lean towards purchasing the DJI Mini SE instead. You can also get the F11 pro gim for about $100 less which is more appealing and a better price point for beginners.

Reminds me of the Bugs 16 and the F11. I've been looking at this drone for a couple of days now. For the price I would probably be looking at the fimi x8. I'll have to wait until next year when the weather in my country of the UK gets better and decide then.
It will be very interesting to see what the "budget/beginner drone category" does next. Incremental updates to the original SJRC F11, and the resultant price increases, make this whole category fall far short of the Mini SE. Conclusion: Nice enough, but probably 12 to 18 months too late and $100 too expensive.
@@sonyviva308 Yes, that 3rd axis smooths yaw moves, so you have to manually feather the left stick with a deft touch. A bigger issue is the tiny, old tech camera sensor with minimal or no manual settings.
@@gustavrischmuller2569 They would have to have improved yaw performance from the DE22 Pro, which the HS600 seems to be based upon. It is impossible to get a smooth yaw on the DE22 Pro. If you feather the stick it won't respond at first and when it finally starts responding it starts moving very quickly.
@@richardmaggio And don't I know that terrible input response! I get it to "kind of" work every 1 out of 5 times... Point is, DJI Mini SE has just made that whole category obsolete. As I said, all those budget drones now only makes sense in terms of value if they sell for $150 or less.
It is said that the landing lights are just for show. there are no bulbs inside. Maybe when they make an updated version of the HS600, they'll maybe added to it.
I was waiting to see your review of this. I bought one when it first was available ( walmart, not amazon) mine was a dud. no amount of App updates could fix it. H.S. cust service gave up and sent it to Walmart Cust Service. I could not recommend it based on my early experience. you might also inform people that in 4K cameras with E.I.S. the video is less than 4K due to the EIS, which can not be turned off, E.I.S. takes away pixels to make video smoother, and it is then upscaled to 4K.
Captain Please i need some urgent assistance. I made it to upload my first TH-cam video, after which i made a little changes to my TH-cam channel name. But afterward i try to search my name and it isn't appearing . I have made use of the filter search but still my TH-cam name isn't showing up. I have done everything from recommendation in videos online , i added everything , tags, description, title.... etc. But if I search with "channel name ' it doesn't show up. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you are new to TH-cam, your channel will not show up immediately until you finally get subscribers and lots of views. You will have to send out the link to people at first.
This one looks like a winner. Wished it had been available when I bought the 720E. Walmart has it on for the same price as the 720E. I guess is is available and in stock. I didn’t try ordering to see, but their ad said free two day delivery. Who knows?
I've been trying to decide on this or the DJI Mavic mini (V1) since they are both the same price. I think dollar for dollar this will be a better value. Maybe someday I'll step up to a Mavic pro but I think for a beginner drone this HS600 will be perfect, thanks for the helpful review!

I am having trouble with the Camera on hs600. I have trouble Is rotating the camera and on one flight flight suddenly the Gimble started going back side aside so fast you could not tell what the picture was. Any ideas? Thanks Seth
I follow the books instructions, your easy instructions, Compass gyro lights blinking beep sounding off everything's good except I can't get a Wi-Fi connection or the rotors to come on, any advice?
If you do it in the sequence of my video (I.e., search for the wifi signal, connect to it, then open the app) then all should work. If you do things correctly and still see no wifi signal then the issue is your phone (incompatible as it lacks the protocol 802.11ac)
Quick question. I want to use this to self record intros to some future videos. Using the app on my phone, will it support an external mic during recording?

Ok . I understand how some drones can lose connection and just keep going . I had one zip away and luckily hit a tree branch . It was just a small drocon 014 ninja in 3 rd speed but it’s quick in 3 rd . I now know to be careful at certain distances . It can’t go far at all but I hoo the 175d can go further or just keep connection with line of sight . I thought I could go a lot further and higher even with the little guy . Haven’t tried the 175d in height or distance or yet
I assume that I need to be away from tall trees and other obstacles for the "Follow Me" mode to work and so drone will not hit trees or power lines, etc., is that correct? I have tall Oak & Palm trees all over my neighborhood so me skateboarding on the sidewalk w the drone behind me will probably not work.

This seems to be a very nice drone. I see it is for sale at Walmart for $339 seems a little steep. I have a problem with groans because I am in a power wheelchair and I can’t Seem to calibrate the compass. I keep looking for a drone calibrate itself. Thanks for your good reviews I enjoy them very much.
I'm also in a power wheelchair and I've never encountered any issues in calibrating *ANY* drone from it. I use a Quickie Pulse 6 electric wheelchair if it means anything with regards to EM interference.
I wonder if you can rig up a thing to a drone where you can swing it from a string and poke it with a stick to rotate it on both axis' from a distance. A bit weird and a little bit of a pain, but might work.

Hey Captain, I was wondering if you knew whether or not holy Stone came out with this drone before SJRC came out with their f11s?? what I'm essentially trying to do Captain is determine who had the 3KM drone first. Was it Holy Stone HS600, was it Ruko F11 GIM2, was it SJRC F11S, or DEERC. I know that a lot of these are knock-offs, so I'm just trying to figure out who was the original product, and which one performs the best. I would greatly appreciate it if you could offer any knowledge you may possess on this issue. thanks Captain.
I have no idea who was first. In CHINA there are 4 big drone manufacturers for such drones and about 30 drone companies who each order through those manufacturers to create drones, so often you'll see the same drone with a different brand name on it.
Does anyone know if the sjrc f11 pro 4k drones batteries fit for this holystone hs600? It looks like the same model but I can't get hold of any batteries for the hs600 only the f11
Superb video. I loved everything about this drone other than the fact that it's a holy Stone. I did check the buying link and it says I have to buy it from Walmart which is a deal-breaker for me
I paid $400 for ruko f11 gim 2. I am new to drones and thought I was investing in a good drone manufacturer name. This is the same drone as the Ruko. These same drones are sold by many different Chinese companies. When you are paying $350-$400 I find this unacceptable. You want to be investing in a quality name at that price point. I bought the F11 GIM2 and the Mavic mini SE and here is what I found. Although the F11 GIM 2-This drone, boasts level 7 wind resistance it doesn't handle as well as the mavic mini SE which boasts level 5. The Ruko has better day time video recording in my opinion. Low light conditions and the video is garbage though. These drones should be priced at $200 tops. Anymore than that and you should grab a mavic mini SE. The mini Se is steady as a Rock. Still thinking about sending the Ruko back. It is a fine drone, I just know it isnt worth what I paid. I would have been better off paying an extra $50 to get the Mini se 2.

Hi. It looks good drone in comparison with HS120D, but weight is a problem -1.1Lbs. You need to register your drone + license. The flight test is good, but I expected a test for distance because it is my problem.I need at least 500meters. If it is possible make a test for distance.Thanks.
Sorry, me again! Could you do a video at some point on general rules and principles about where and how it's permissible to fly a drone? I can't find anything (I don't think?) from your channel on that subject. Some principles are obvious, even to me, like maybe not flying near the airport, etc... but presumably it can get more complex and subtle than that as well? I'd be interested if you had insights to offer on that in a future video, if you felt like doing it. I actually live in Spain but there will be big overlap and similar principles, I'm sure, across many/most countries.

The 2 axis camera is somewhat a letdown for this one. The Mini SE is still the king of budget beginner drone

The landing lights could be infrared with a optical sensor. However the return to home being off that much; not sure it is working though.

Your phone connects to the Remotes wi-fi, NOT the drone. It has a built-in repeater in the remote for a extended RANGE.

Correct. Your only option would be to fly it above tree top level and hope it doesn’t drop down lower when following you.

Hey Captain, I was wondering if you knew whether or not holy Stone came out with this drone before SJRC came out with their f11s?? what I'm essentially trying to do Captain is determine who had the 3KM drone first. Was it Holy Stone HS600, was it Ruko F11 GIM2, was it SJRC F11S, or DEERC. I know that a lot of these are knock-offs, so I'm just trying to figure out who was the original product, and which one performs the best. I would greatly appreciate it if you could offer any knowledge you may possess on this issue. thanks Captain.
I have no idea who was first. In CHINA there are 4 big drone manufacturers for such drones and about 30 drone companies who each order through those manufacturers to create drones, so often you'll see the same drone with a different brand name on it.

Superb video. I loved everything about this drone other than the fact that it's a holy Stone. I did check the buying link and it says I have to buy it from Walmart which is a deal-breaker for me
I paid $400 for ruko f11 gim 2. I am new to drones and thought I was investing in a good drone manufacturer name. This is the same drone as the Ruko. These same drones are sold by many different Chinese companies. When you are paying $350-$400 I find this unacceptable. You want to be investing in a quality name at that price point. I bought the F11 GIM2 and the Mavic mini SE and here is what I found. Although the F11 GIM 2-This drone, boasts level 7 wind resistance it doesn't handle as well as the mavic mini SE which boasts level 5. The Ruko has better day time video recording in my opinion. Low light conditions and the video is garbage though. These drones should be priced at $200 tops. Anymore than that and you should grab a mavic mini SE. The mini Se is steady as a Rock. Still thinking about sending the Ruko back. It is a fine drone, I just know it isnt worth what I paid. I would have been better off paying an extra $50 to get the Mini se 2.
Ruko F11 Gim2 are going for around 225-$250 now lol.. At least on Ebay

So in sense whats its name in the SJRC because Holystone isnt possible to get for Swedes. We have to get the rebranded version from SJRC.

Hi. It looks good drone in comparison with HS120D, but weight is a problem -1.1Lbs. You need to register your drone + license. The flight test is good, but I expected a test for distance because it is my problem.I need at least 500meters. If it is possible make a test for distance.Thanks.

Sorry, me again! Could you do a video at some point on general rules and principles about where and how it's permissible to fly a drone? I can't find anything (I don't think?) from your channel on that subject. Some principles are obvious, even to me, like maybe not flying near the airport, etc... but presumably it can get more complex and subtle than that as well? I'd be interested if you had insights to offer on that in a future video, if you felt like doing it. I actually live in Spain but there will be big overlap and similar principles, I'm sure, across many/most countries.
Every country is different when it comes to regulations for remotely controlled items (drones, planes, helicopters).

Hello captain drone, I’m a beginner on drones but I been following you for quite a while and now I’m about to purchase my first real drone and I need your help. I’m in between the HS600 or the HS720E , I saw the reviews you give to both drones and they are similar, I’m going to use it most of the time in the desert, there’s a lot of wind some times, what do you recommend for this situations if you have to choose one?

Not too bad. Seems a little expensive with only a 2 axis gimble but the video looks really good. You really have a great area to fly in.
