I have been telling my wife for years that I thought Pete was way insecure about bits about him, done on SNL. I’m glad Pete finally said it. Imagine going to work, everyone likes you, and you like them . And you find out they are talking shit behind your back. We love Pete.

Loved this interview. I love hearing Pete talk about BPD - I got diagnosed in my 40s and it was a lifetime of looking back connecting dots. All of his points here are so dead-on, including DBT being massively helpful, that there is hope, we can improve and do better and learn how to reign in everything BPD throws at you. It’s incredibly tough, but worth it to put in the work and have a somewhat normal life. Thank you for having him in for this interview, this was so great to watch.

So really, I guess I’m trying to say thank you! 💖🙏😊 And so right about DBT; it was so helpful with my therapy that I got certified to teach it. I’m so glad it helped you as well!

Pete, dude I am a fan of you as a person. You are inspiring. Not because of the fame and fortune and all the tabloid fotter, but my dad died when I was 2, and I relate to your story. Im a normal girl trying to turn what I love into a career. You are the proof that dreams come true through perserverence and hard work. You never quit, no matter how much your struggling you always come out on the other side, you admit you have faults and issues because EVERYONE has faults and your real enough to address and correct them and find strength in the pain and you dont hide anything. Your courage and lack of concern for the bs is commendable. So yes, your hilarious and yes you have wit and an innate ability to write and create epic works, but you as a person, as a human, and what you stand for and what you stand against is why I am a fan of you as a person. I would love to just smoke and chill with you one day. no questions, no autographs, no cameras, just 2 average people being average people. I can relate to him very much. Same way. Anxiety is awful. I’ve been using that tactic a long long time. As a teen it’s like I instinctually knew I needed to do that and I always kept journals and wrote poetry and jokes even. Getting shit out of your head is important and humor is a huge component to being able to do that too. The highest compliment I ever got from my 13 year old son is that “I was the funniest mother fucker he knows”, and I pretty much still am, and he is 26 now. Humor helps BPD so much. It can ground you from being bitter and resentful about things. I have always felt blessed that I can be this way. Most people dealing with this are survivors of something and just work very hard to keep it together. And it’s not to be confused with bipolar. Great interview!! Great show!!!

The thing about Pete dating other Hollywood stars - particularly those who are considered “it girls” - is that the rest of us delight in it. People just enjoy seeing who he’s dating. Some guys are definitely jealous and haters. Women know he’s funny and talkative and so we get why other women are interested in him.
Also, feeling uncomfortable when things are going well is a trauma response/coping mechanism. You’re trying to prepare yourself for the next let down. Because life is all ups and downs. No matter what, it’s always ups and down. I remind myself that when I feel anxious when things are going well. My anxiety now is not going to help me later. It’s just going to make now a little less good. I might as well enjoy the ups because not enjoying them won’t prevent the downs.
I appreciate Pete’s honesty about stuff. It helps people feel less alone.

Pop culture taught me to hate Pete Davidson, admittedly never seen him say a word out of character or a bit, never seen him candid… right now I hate pop culture more than ever for vilifying this guy for no fucking reason. What a dude. I’m on board and I wish I could apologize to him in person just for being one of “them”.

Always liked Benthal as an actor. After listening to many Real Ones episodes. Love the man. Real as they come.

I fucking love Jon. Of course he's a brilliant actor so that goes without saying but he's got to be one of the most honest public figures today, he's never ashamed to tell about the worst sides of himself which obviously gets out shines by the best parts but you can see the process of it, the way he up lifts others short coming and tries to help them realize the best parts of themselves. he's an icon

Pete is my favorite!! Reminds me of myself in a weird way… This looks like what you get when you can afford to go to a really good therapist. I’m lucky to have some insurance for mental health but trying to find someone good that takes my insurance is virtually impossible where I live…

Pete deserves a lot more than being recognized for who he dates. He's super talented.

I like the way we're moving away from the idea that a "man" has to be act flawless and never talk about or confess that we're human with human challenges. Great interview

My favourite thing about this podcast is that you let the guest speak. Obviously you talk as well, but when theyre talking they can talk for a while and you let us just listen. You don't see that too often.
