- The PAC-12 has not had much luck in adding schools since the announcement that 4 Mountain West Schools would be joining that conference in 2026.
Several invitations have been sent, but only one school, Utah St, has accepted.

2.5 mill for the AAC teams for the exit fees was a stupid offer

there's a reason ucla is playing in the big 10 and stanford is in the acc right now
The AAC have the best TV deal out of the group of five so if I was Memphis I wouldn’t go anywhere unless its the BIGXII or ACC
@@EricBurns-d4o Memphis will never move to the ACC because it will be dead by the time they try to get members. The Big12 will never need Memphis because they are gonna pick up the teams that leave the dying ACC. It is what it is
I say offer Memphis as much money as you can. If that does not work then offer the top Performing Montana and North Dakota teams an offer that pays there 5 million dollars fbs fee. If you don’t get them than offer SacState a deal that pays them
Less than the other teams until they don’t place last place last in the conference in football. Once they don’t place last than you give them a full share. Also offer University of Connecticut a place for their football team. Dont give them any money upfront and not a lot of media money until they commit their basketball team in someone fashion. Next offer University of el

Best deal! UNLV and Airforce got 25 or more million each and Memphis was offered 2 mil. Who really wanted who!

The interesting thing is that the exit fees that MWC is getting is going to be plenty to keep the conference going. It’s sort of a win win for PAC 12 and the Mountain West. The PAC 12 conference survives and so does the Mountain West.
I think mwc should invite texas state utep and NMsu

My thoughts: Sacramento St, New Mexico St, Texas St, are the 3 teams to Mountain West Conference.
Get to 10 and then see if anymore will add money to next tv deal or not.
UC Davis makes the most out of all the FCS programs and makes more than some of the PAC schools.
Washington St. and Oregon St. used to be in a conference with USC, UCLA, Washington, etc. Any way they reshape the Pac 12 will be minor.
UCLA have done nothing in football. They just rode the back of USC. Chip Kelly knew that so he left for am Assistant Coach position.

For reals tho, UTEP and Tarleton State? Canzano had a good interview with a Sac State supporter and a huge hurdle for FCS schools is there will be no CFP payout changes until 2027 - so any FCS adds get zero CFP dollars.

Like the MWC will be fine, the new PAC 12 will be fine. Just a lot of bitterness and animosity happening on chat and messageboards right now.
Back to when the PAC12 died to today, you can look at the statements and actions of OSU and WSU and just see how they are still operating the same way. They assumed the PAC12 network would do just fine without a Fox/CBS/ESPN partner… they assumed Kliavkoff would find a media deal… they assumed Washington and Oregon would stay if there was an offer even if it wasn’t comparable to the Big Ten’s reduced share offer… they assumed the Big 12 would come around and extend an invitation… they assumed the Mountain West would be grateful to play them on the schedule… they assumed that all the top G5 schools would want to join a best of the rest… they assumed that their second and third choices would wait around until an invite came…
Really wish mountain west and pac could have just merged with all teams. but i think its too much bad blood now i dont see it happening. The pac isnt gonna make more money there crazy to think that. Its the same ass mwc with less teams so the value is probably even less than mwc.
The lawsuit reeks of desperation! Who agrees to a contract, breaks it, and sues when the penalty for breaking it is enforced?! Maybe I’ll try that with my mortgage and see if it works 😂
Why wouldn't Louisiana Ragin Cajuns and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs join the PAC-12, while Texas State Bobcats, U.T.E.P Miners and New Mexico State Aggies join the MWC?
It's not a rush. The PAC should create an East/South Divison with another 5 schools. Colorado State or Utah State can be part of that.
Sac State maybe the Pac 12 last invite. hahaha.
SAC State is going to build a new Football stadium at the end of the season and talked about trying to join the Pac 12 making that Leap from FCS to FBS

Under new management the PAC still over estimated themselves. It was a bad decision to not lock up UNLV with the other big 4 MW teams because they thought they could do better. They should have also locked up USAF. If they could only convince 1 of those then get Utah St. They should have had an 8 team conference on the roll out and then go after 2-4 AAC teams. Its fine to add Gongzaga and St Mary's for all other sports but without a strong football conference they are just another G6. Rice and North Texas St doesn't excite anyone. Now they are no different than what the MWC was.
PAC better get Sac State while they can!

Pac-12 will add Gonzaga & Grand Canyon as non-football members, and then for football there's less certainty, I would add North Texas, UTEP & New Mexico State

I think if the PAC is able come back to Memphis with a good deal then that might help some other dominoes fall such as Gonzaga and other AAC teams.
It could happen, but just not sure the money is there.

LOL they are too busy frivolously suing the MWC, when the dust settles the MWC will still be a better conference. The poor leadership of the Whack PAC is dying on the vine, and the Deviant five allowed OSU & WSU to have all the power. It will be interesting if any teams start to renege as they realize their Media Deal is dwindling by the day.

Pac should offer uconn, James Madison, liberty then go back 2 the aac teams..
Unlv, toledo, northern Illinois, the 3 academies could all be options as well
Eastern division uconn, jmu, liberty, memphis, Tulane, utsa, usf
Western division Fresno, boise, sdsu, Colorado St, Utah St, Oregon st, Washington St.
If possible you could bring in air force and unlv in the west. Navy and army In the east.

The PAC-12 should pay the $25 exit fee for Memphis just like they've paid the 4 Mountain West teams exit fees. They will then have 8 football members. Problem solved. That sympathy card that the two current PAC-12 members are trying to play has run its course.
What about a non-football school to reach the eight needed with U-Conn as a football only? Think about Cal State Fullerton, the campus is 7 miles from Anaheim Stadium. Consider what Georgia St. did to Turner Field. The Pac could add CSFU to reach 8, MLB Angels move to a new stadium in the next 5 years & the Titans restart a football program that ended in the 1990's.
There's a lot more time than those with antsy pants believe. It may hurt some feelings, but a merger would've been far too much of demotion for OSU and Wazzu, who have better overall programs than ANY of the non-original P12 schools. The best conferences are going to be those with ZERO bottom schools.
You do realize even the SEC has bottom schools.

The PAC conference is set as is. Everything else is just talk. Most of it is negative. They could literally invite any team at this point and it wouldn't hurt or add anything else to the table. Give it 5-10 years the PAC conference regains power status. Boise State will rebuild this conference by the work they do alone
Nah. See this is why you don’t vote Democrat because ignorance like this. The AAC actually had Autonomy Status and was one school shy of having 8 current Autonomy Status colleges as members and had added 4 former Autonomy Status schools and were not allowed to retain Autonomy Status. They then performed the best out of all G5 conferences over the past 11 out of 12 years essentially and outperformed two to three P5 conferences multiple times over the years and still unable to regain Autonomy Status. The last two years of the BCS era at least the AAC were allowed to retain their status before losing it starting in the CFP4/NY6 era. The PAC could not even get that much. My point is that any conference that loses its Autonomy status will not be able to regain it no matter what they do.
@@michaelwall3393You're just being delusional. The AAC never had autonomy STATUS. Never at any point. And the AAC has already lost its best members. It's status is getting worse and worse. Not to mention the AAC only was doing good because Boise State had a couple of off years. Our program started the David vs Goliath conversation. We've battled with the best and come out victorious. The AAC has done nothing but ride the coattails of Boise State.
The PAC conference as of now is the top conference outside of the Power conferences. Hands down no doubt about it.
AAC was never autonomy. But has had a total of 9 members with autonomy or past autonomy status
