Mate - this vid is GOLD. The best one I've seen regarding Reinhart Pipes on a Softie. I just scored as set of the 2into1 system for my 97 Softail, and the instructions that come them are pretty sparse. I followed your instructions, and they really helped me. A lot. The only thing I had a heaps of trouble with was the exhaust flange c-clips. I could get them off the original system easily enough, but couldn't for the life of me get them back on over the Reinhart's. My little fingers aren't as strong as they were 20 years ago anymore. The darn thing bit on on the fingers and/or flew across the shed countless times. I just couldn't get them over. So I bought a set of circlip pliers and tried grinding them into a shape that would grip the clip. No luck. Then I saw a tip in another vid that showed the guy using a pair of piston ring remove/install pliers - they worked like an absolute charm. Pipes are on now, and they sound AWESOME. Not as barky as the original pipes with Screaming Eagle shotgun tips - more deeper and throaty and a bit quieter, which I was after. Thank you sooo much for this vid - it was a huge help. You make the snap-ring removal & install look easy...show off...lol And I like that trick with the adjustable wrench on the Allen wrench. Thanks, I always pick something up from your channel. Eric
I have this bike and this pipe. After watching this video several times I felt pretty confident that I would be able to do the install. The complete project probably took almost 6 hours. However, a big portion of that time was spent taking off the old system. My bike had almost 14,000 miles, so getting those exhaust gaskets out was nowhere as easy as in the video. Also the right bolt for the front header is a complete pain in the ass to remove and reattach. Dealing with that specific issue probably cost me another hour or so. I had to remove a couple of screws for the oil cooler to get it to move a little bit to tighten the right bolt. I tried ratchet extenders and a wobble extender. Both of which did not really seat on the bolt. Essentially, I was only able to get the socket onto the bottom half of the bolt and had to move it small amounts to get it to tighten. That also prohibited the use of a torque wrench, so I had to go with my best guess. Installing the muffler was a little more difficult as well. I think I finally got it to seat far enough on to the rear portion of the header, but I am not entirely sure I got it on far enough. It definitely works and the pipe sounds awesome. Great product and super happy with the purchase. Also of note, the pipe came with the wide band to narrow band reducers and exhaust gaskets. You can save a couple of bucks there.
I got a Rinehart 2 into 1 exhaust for Christmas 2020. This video was extremely helpful except for one thing, Rinehart does NOT send the adapter for the 02 sensor. Instead, for some dumb reason, Rinehart sent a plug (bung plug). Rinehart knows that you need the adapter, not sure why they send the plug. The HD store had the adapters, about $12.
Same here, mine pipe came with them too. It also came with exhaust gaskets which I messed up & had to buy two more times. That was completely my fault though.
My dealer just put one on my Sport Glide... I didn't take my panniers because I thought they'd get in the way. When I got home I tried to put the right hand pannier back on and it doesn't fit. The spool on the metal exhaust bracket seems to be in a slightly wrong position. I loosened it up and tried but no luck... Not sure what to do about it. I just can't see any potential for adjustment. Have you ever heard of that problem?
How much power increase do you imagine these pipes add?I know it’s sort of a loaded question, but I’m getting this exact exhaust on my 114 as well as a stage 2 screaming eagle torque cam and street tuner right now.
Great video, thank you. Mine is a Deluxe 2011, the original bracket holds the small hard bag bracket and the footpeg. Not the new one. In the future, there will be FLH style, large hard bags. What do you suggest? Can I send you photos?
One other thing I forgot to mention. If you want to put your peg back into the same area as it was with the original bracket, the pipe comes with this smaller black piece, which I assume can be used as a spacer for the top bolt on the mounting bracket for the muffler. This piece has a hole in it which looks to be similar in size to the bolt for the passenger peg. I didn’t realize this until after the install was done, so I am going to have to put the peg into the upper position by removing that little plastic cap.
I’m assuming this is basically going to be same process for this system on an ‘06 Dyna… only difference I could see is how the mounting bracket is going to be installed. Any idea where I could get some instruction on that?
what exhaust gaskets do you use for that exhaust? rinehart is keeping their gaskets a secret for whatever reason and a regular exhaust gasket will leak. what is the preferred brand gasket for rinehart 2 into 1?
My understanding is that you have to swap headers if you want to go into a two into one. Going with a two into one gives you more low end torque. As far as the cat goes, if there is one…which I do not know that there is…it would be in the muffler. The header looked pretty much like pipes to me.
@@TheLostsoulcamero 4 years ago, I know, but anyway - I have a 2019 Sport Glide and debated this as well. In the end I went with a slip-on Rinehart. Notwithstanding, there can be a substantial weight saving in changing to a full system. Compared to the stock pipe, in general, the performance 2 into 1's tend to be shorter and designed/tuned for the entire length (vs. a slip-on added to an existing stock header pipe). If that matters to you. 🙂

Great video as always, Patrick.
Please have Rinehart bring this back into production. I want it for my heritage

Excellent video! Very illustrative and easy to understend! Congratulations!
I almost went with this exhaust but chose the vance and hines softail duals!
piston ring spreaders work for exhaust flange clips

That’s odd I’m installing these pipes currently and mine did come with the adapters ???

Someone jacked you for your adapters, son
Imagine that Patrick I just did this today on my bar hopper’ / Deluxe D&D 2 into one ....

Will this fit a 2020 low rider s
Hey Patrick is this exhaust street legal?
It is but not in CA. S&S makes a 50 state legal 2 into 1 www.jpcycles.com/product/57832/s-s-cycle-50-state-legal-superstreet-2-into-1-exhaust-system
To the pegs have to come up ?

Do you guys put tuners on as well, and do you dyno?
How about on a low rider S. Is the cat in the mufflers?
Sounds quiet?
Ride a couple hundred miles and tell me how loud you want your bike
@@Frankfoot986 loud enough for the cagers to hear and to make the panties drop.

Does anyone know if this pipe would scrape on the Fatbob? was thinking of getting this pipe with a stage 3.
I need information concernant the original and the new bracket. Is there any help available?
Did you ever get the help? I just did the install. I may be able to help.
Do you need to put a tuner on with these pipes ?
Yes
can we re-use the stock exhaust gaskets ?
I wouldn't, you run the risk of an exhaust leak that could easily be avoided by using new gaskets.
-Patrick
Will an fp4 tune the rinehart 2 into 1?
I wouldn’t recommend the fp4, this is from personal experience…
Why change header on softail what's the advantages
on this particular bike the cat is in the header and this pipe did not have one.
@@jpcycles so say on a 18 sport glide where the cat is in the muffler there's no advantage to changing the header?

This is not going to take me 14mins....... and my o2 sensors are not gonna come out that easy 😂
nice exhaust but the new ones have cats in them.....
You just changed bikes.....
