Sound Test - with and without dB killer S&S SuperStreet 2-1 exhaust (non-cat) Lowrider S stage II

  • Sound test with and without dB killer installed plus removal from muffler on S&S SuperStreet 2-1 exhaust. This motorcycle is a 2020 Harley Davidson Lowrider S 114 stage 2 with an S&S 475 cam chest kit installed. The bike is tuned with a Power Vision tuner and Fuel Moto base map w/ dyno auto tune by House of Harley Davidson in Anchorage, Alaska. The result was a noticeable difference in volume as well as tone. My personal preference was without the dB killer installed. I like the louder variation but the exhaust note without it is spectacular. I hope you enjoy this comparison. Enjoy your ride!

Wasn’t very good with this one. I didn’t get any differences with the DB killer in or out as far as horsepower but I don’t recall what they were because it was so long ago. I did, however, do an exhaust video of the three that I tested and if you’re want to see dyno sheets, then you can watch this video, link below. If you don’t want to watch the whole video, then the dyno sheet comparison and analysis is at the end of it. But I talk a little bit about the tuning and different experiences with each one. I still run the jackpot and I bought an RTX for my Street Glide and also for the Road Glide I just finished. Both of those bikes have 131’s, the RG 150hp/154tq. The jackpot pipes are rated for high horsepower builds. I hope this helps.

Video excellent! I think that the mufflers created on the dibikiller do not go very well without it. Of course the tone without it is better, but I recommend better performing mufflers. For example the Brother 2 in 1 is without the dibikier and makes an impression for the sound relative to the bass it produces, practically always. Then without the flame breaker there is no competition, with all the respect I have for Vance & Hinse muffler of various kinds. ^^

@@paulson9616 I think I saw something where you can get that out of there. I scrolled by it because I don’t have that version. Do you live in California? Reason I ask is because I just went to a fuel Moto jackpot riot pipe. They can’t ship that pipe to California though. Finally got my dyno done yesterday and I’ll post a video on the results soon but performs way way better than the S&S piped did.

No this is the 49th state. Non-Cat. 50 state is for California compliance and has a cat and therefore the DB killer is spot welded in place from what I understand.

It should come right out. There is a 50 state compliant. Version with a cat converter inside. This one is a 49 State compliant with no cat. Where are they weld the dB killer in place. Some folks have drilled or ground the welds to pull it out. I hope this helps. Personally, I did not like this pipe and ended up taking it off, about three or four weeks after I made this video. The pipe that I settled on was a Jackpot Riot from Fuel Moto.

Sorry man! That would have been better for sure. Just for update purposes, I ended up getting rid of this pipe after about one month and going with a Fuel Moto Jackpot Riot. If you like the stainless steel look, then it’s pretty decent pipe and I think they make a chrome one now but not positive. This pipe robbed a lot of torque and horsepower compared to the TBR and the fuel Moto pipe. The Fuel Moto pipe what is the best one of the three. And it also sounded the best

The worst part of this exhaust is you gotta replace your brake pedal If you have a mid controls and the pedal that they have is this big ass ugly tractor pedal. Lately S&S has been losing me as a customer with all the stuff that they’ve been releasing with the inmates first oil pump that doesn’t come with the O-ring it is a critical part for it that Harley doesn’t sell or S&S doesn’t sell then the brake pedal the huge piece of shit that thing is I was going to get their big bore kit but I’ve kind of change my mind and I’m looking at fueling.
