• Global Outlook:
o Total 12 121 warheads, about 9585 were in military stockpiles for potential use, an estimated 3904 of those warheads were deployed with missiles and aircraft-60 more than in January 2023-and the rest were in central storage.
o USA: 5044
o Russia: 5580
o China: 500 increasing from 410, making china the fastest growing nuclear power in the world. China also started deploying nuclear warheads on its missiles
o All states are modernizing and increasing nuclear warheads and delivery system capabilities
• Analysis:
o Nuclear Proliferation is growing
o Global cooperatioin on non-proliferation is increasing
o Geo-political tensions are causing risks
o Increase in Placing nuclear weapons on High operational alert is a dangerous development
o Non-strategic use of Nuclear weapons is the most significant risks to nuclear security
o Reduction in nuclear diplomacy
