Not sure if that was intentional but I think it works with the name and the theme.
That's a pretty great name and its great to see someone actually knowledgeable on ska give a suggestion but who the pronounces the second half of "weevil" the same as "eel"? It's not like there isn't a word pronounced "ill" either, I'm just confused by this.
This is AWESOME. Love the concept. Although I do like mine better, but that's just me being me. However which yours sound much more appealing, cool, and over all better. I'll pitch my ideas though: Barlarvae: Reggae(Music genre described in the video that originates from Jamaica), Bob Marley(Famous Reggae singer), Larvae(Baby bugs), and Barley(another grain that weevils eat). Sacornet: Sack(Hacky Sack), Cornet(an instrument relating to trumpets), Foot Net(I think that's what it's called, but it's a tennis/volleyball esque game with a Hacky Sack) Skaterkick(or Skatersack): SKA(Music genre), Skitter(To move quickly often referred to in the context of bugs), Skeeter(a pest), Kick(Hacky Sacks are generally kicked around), Sack(...) Bollbrass(or Bollbrash or Boldbrass): Boll(Weevils Species that *migrated* from mexico), Brass(music instrument ), Brash(in this case Vibrant and Loud), Bold(BOLD) Circulegae: Curculionidae(Family in which Weevils are a part of), Circle(Hacky sacks are in a circle, and are played generally in a circle), Reggae(Music Genre), Leg(Hacky Sacks are generally kicked) Weedvalve: Weevil(the bug of inspiration), Valve(parts/areas of a trumpet), and Weed(slang term for marijuana, cause Reggae and Weed and... I'll stop now... again)
The wizard Yanmega was amazing. I play DND so the reference made me very happy. Also I love it when dragons don't look mean. Pokemon like Altaria and Flygon demonstrate that dragons don't have to be monsters but can be friendly

With bloomage, it would super cool if it only learned physical grass attacks and special fire attacks. It "casts" the fire attacks whereas with the grass it is already there just being used; like, leafblade via its wings.
Mercryni's signature move would be like mudshot except it's steel type (it shoots mercury) and has a chance to poison the opponent (if it has the base power of mudshot then it has 100% poison chance).
Yanmages will often shake the isocahedron in their chest before battling. It is unknown if this actually affects their skills in battle, or if it is merely placebo.
@Fredd's Dead Sorry but can we Talk about how Lockstin has the ability to make a Great Brazilian Pokedex? Because the People in my Country (Brazil) Are Good, But not Game freak Perfection.
Why do I have a feeling that a Ground/Fairy Excadrill would be even MORE broken than its Steel counterpart? Offensively, it has STAB against 8 different types.
I've always thought about a ghost/normal legendary that represents a gravedigger/gravekeeper of sorts, or a charon-based pokemon with a eerie lantern. But the idea of the opossum shakespear is really good too!
For my own headcannon/fakemon region I have a set of four legendaries based on the four horsemen of the apocalypse, and the one that represents death is normal/ghost. (The others are dragon/bug for famine, poison/psychic for pestilence and fighting/steel for war)
14:24 now when I replay Gen V I will be sure to name my Mienfoo “Huge Ackman” Edit: I just learned that Mienshao can have the ability Regenerator which makes this even funnier

I know it's been 9 months since this video was posted, but I just want to say how much I love this series. The inspirations and designs are so amazing.
The stingray is easily my favorite, the lone ranger hat is perfect for it. I also liked the snail and the baristas, I hope we'll see some more of these soon!

What if when you “knocked out” the opossums they have an ability kinda like mimikyu and they do their fainting action but then they come back to battle after it forces you to switch Pokémon.

Would that not better fit one that is poison/water? He was referencing weed, and this sounds more like a skunk with a serious case of gangrene or some other form of rot.
Well, unrelated, but there’s a *Ahem* FULL GOOGLE GAME! I’M TALKING FULL-A** MINIGAMES, TEAMS, AND SO MUCH MORE! THIS IS NOT AN AD! I REPEAT, THIS IS NOT AN AD!
An idea for a move would be Dust Devil, a ground type move: *Dust Devil:* Ground type Special Power: 110 Accuracy: 70 (Always hits during a sandstorm) PP: 5 Description: The user creates a violent Dust Devil and sends it at the opponent This attack can hit Flying type Pokémon and Pokémon with the ability Levitate.
I've made a few moves for Pokemon I've made. One of my best is the signature move of my variant of Simipour. It's essentially a Water type Sky Drop that also deals Fighting type damage like Flying Press Deep Grapple Type: Water Category: Physical Power: 80 Accuracy: 100% PP: 15 Effect: Takes opponent under water on first turn, throws them to the surface on second turn. No effect on Water-type Pokemon. Deals Water and Fighting-type damage. (Super effective against Fire, Ground, Rock, Ice, Dark and Steel-type Pokemon)
Sounds like a nice idea, yet you left out a pretty critical aspect of the move.... Is it physical or special? Considering most ground type moves are usually physical orientated, much like the pokemon possesing the type, that would usually be the rather obv assumption to go with. However given the description of this move being a strong rapid whirl of dust and dirt as opposed to mostly ground-shaking/breaking tremors/slides it would make for fitting contrast to make it special instead. Especially considering the paralells it shares with the other stormy/windy weather phenonena attacks being strong yet inaccurate unless performed in the corresponding weather much like hurricane and blizzard. Also would be a nice ground special coverage variant option for many pokemon in the same vein like focus blast.
Sound like what they did on Mr Buddy's England region. Except, removing all the things they don't like and overly changing it. Don't believe me. Mr Buddy made a poison dragon type legendary. A few years later, Pokemon Company makes Eternatus.
I thought when you said “The obvious choice” for bug dragon that I was bouta see a Kaskadian Flygon. I like what ya actually did, but man what could have been...
You guys are both wrong because Flygon is based on the Antlion, an insect who's larval form look like trapinch, and who's adult form looks near Identical to a dragon fly

I have to say, this Kaskade Region is one of the most thought-out ones I've seen on the fanmade circuit. I would so use the salmon canoe-one on my team! Same goes for Buggaesack, Yamage and Bloomage. Also, since the Pacific Northwest is involved here, are you considering created a Kaskadian form of Xatu?
Kaskadian Excadrill is probably one the most sickest designs I’ve seen in a regional form. Gets me excited to wonder what future regional variations of Pokemon we may get in the future.
Would you ever consider making a video or series where you go over all the questions you have to answer to make your own region? I would personally love a series like that
Name: Desoray Species: The (Lone) Ranger Pokemon Type: Fighting/Ground Entries: - Living in a sand dune habitat, these pokemons "swim" smoothly through the sand as though it was water!! - Territorial and stern on rules, Desoray are seen patrolling its territory and keeping a watchful eye on anyone around. If it sees a threat, it elongates its tail, and whips at the enemy.
This video on Pokemon designs just makes me appreciate and want more of the inspirational complex designs, just to see how much thought would be put into them.
Stubbed toe- A poison type move. The user stubs it’s spiked toe into the target. This poisons or confuses the target but also damages the user a little. The poor thing stubbed it’s toe and it hurts but since it’s got that spike it injects a venom that causes the poison or confusion status affect.
Bloomage needs a signature move called "seedsplosion" where it's would hurl a ball of seeds that are on fire and it would explode on impact, maybe causing a burn but definitely lowering accuracy (because allergies causing the eyes to get puffy)!
I mean to be fair, that picture of a real-world silo also looks like a…that. So if the Pokemon's design is based on a silo, this was kind of inevitable…Actually, this reminds me of the silo landmark in Slender: The Eight Pages, which Markiplier in his LP's of the game always referred to as "the big red dildo". Yeah there was no getting around this. But we did all think it, because we're all children of the internet. V_V

Opakesiel should have a play dead signature move that makes the enemy loose tons of accuracy, like how animals don't attack possums when they think they are dead
Smogon: "Due to its broken move that causes a massive strain to the metagame, Opakesiel has been banned to Ubers. But we still won't ban Clefable, Toxapex and Ferrothorn cuz we love stalling." XD
I heard a suggestion that it's ability could be a free switch off the bat, if it takes a hit, it plays dead so well, you think it's fainted, but in actuality it's perfectly fine

I feel like meloetta would make a great psychic fairy type as a regional variant, like one of them in the fighting form absorbed nature energy and ended up loosing its normal type in exchange for the fairy type. Maybe it could’ve been caused by a native tribe worshipping it as a nature spirit and their prayers willed its fairy type into existence to incorporate the origins from lockstin’s fairy fighting type (which is really cool btw)
Seppi Scher Elaborate what? They were pointing out that some people object to having a Fire/Grass type Pokémon (because it is a dual typing comprised of 2 of the 3 iconic “starter types”)... even though we already have a three-stage line of Grass/Water Pokémon, and a legendary/mythical Water/Fire Pokémon. (Volcanion)
@@WCA_Arts There also are a lot of water plants in this world, and not a lot of plants can stand fire, therefore grass/water is fine and grass/fire seems a bit counter-intuitive.
@@diablorisful There are fire resistant plants. They are very rare, but they do exist. But yeah, I think the obvious hot pepper inspiration is the best way to go for grass/fire. Sometimes the obvious design choice is obvious for a reason.
The snail... just goes to show that even if it’s a clever design... that doesn’t mean people will automatically like it. Because that was setting off more alarms as the info dump went on.
I feel like that snail isnt getting enough love in the comments. A bunch of cool inspiration plus possibly the best design in the video. I want that snail
Fun/Cursed ability should involve that die! Each attack/move get a 1d20 roll and can affect damage output. 1 - self inflicted 2-5 - 1/2 damage 6-9 - 1/4 damage 10 - normal 11-15 - 2x damage 16-19 - 4x damage 20 - instant KO
I noticed right away, but Lockstin and team admit grammar/spelling aren’t their strong suit. Still, it makes me wonder if it was Lockstin pronouncing his own Lockemon wrong or a spelling error ^-^()
Mercryni NEEDS an Evolution, it's so cool and that type shouldn't be wasted on a solo line.

An idea for a move would be Dust Devil, a ground type move:
*Dust Devil:* Ground type
Special
Power: 110
Accuracy: 70 (Always hits during a sandstorm)
PP: 5
Description:
The user creates a violent Dust Devil and sends it at the opponent
This attack can hit Flying type Pokémon and Pokémon with the ability Levitate.
And maybe powered up when used in succession of twister or hurricane?
I've made a few moves for Pokemon I've made. One of my best is the signature move of my variant of Simipour. It's essentially a Water type Sky Drop that also deals Fighting type damage like Flying Press
Deep Grapple
Type: Water
Category: Physical
Power: 80
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 15
Effect: Takes opponent under water on first turn, throws them to the surface on second turn.
Should be able to hit flying type Pokemon and Pokemon with the levitate ability.

I started making this comment last night and it took me multiple hours to make. you're welcome, curious people.
This is what the english teachers wanted us to do
You deserve so much more like and replies
Thanks
Wow that's a lot of words to bad I'm not reading it 😃
"That's a chakra symbol on Kaskadian Excadrill's gut by the way" Looks more like Pink Diamond.
🎶"That's right I've played the game over and over again
Gee it's swell to finally meet her other mons
That's right I've played the game don't really like how it ends
Gee it's swell to finally meet her other mons"🎶
Ah yes a douche dictator. Douchtator.
*Steven when he goes to the Kaskade region and sees this* : ON MY WAY TO GO KILL MYSELF DO DO DO DO DO
@@ZGlove. its "heard the story over and over again"
Maybe it is pink 🤔
I like how you went and used every unused type. I kinda wish there were more evolution lines and less regional, but all of the designs were amazing so it mames up for it! Can't wait fro the next episode!
"Shooting blood out of its eyes would be a little dark for an E-rated game."
*Kirby dev team do not think so.*
oh ya zero and zero 2 exist
also the game corner
For the first one well it’s typing is no longer an unused type for the new hisuian zoroark but it’s still an awesome idea for it and makes tons of sense
Finally, no pokemon plush toys staring into my soul.
As a plushtuber I feel insulted cuz you're suggesting you don't like plushes. XD
@@cintronproductions9430 I do
But those Pokemon were scary.
Why are you everywhere I go?
Boi your everywhere on my gosh
But they're so Friendly :)
Opakesiel should have a play dead signature move that makes the enemy loose tons of accuracy, like how animals don't attack possums when they think they are dead
Smogon: "Due to its broken move that causes a massive strain to the metagame, Opakesiel has been banned to Ubers. But we still won't ban Clefable, Toxapex and Ferrothorn cuz we love stalling." XD
and maybe Opakesiel will lose some speed, referencing how opossums stop moving to play dead.
@@cintronproductions9430 stall is cool
Morgrem
I heard a suggestion that it's ability could be a free switch off the bat, if it takes a hit, it plays dead so well, you think it's fainted, but in actuality it's perfectly fine
If sighlo doesn’t stop going up and down I’m gonna need an adult
I was looking for it thanks
Lol
Sighlo is a most have in shinny it my show some veins as strong, any one known how tall is he?
Real talk for a second:
Creativity is an amazingly important skill
and this franchise sure brings it out from the Fans.
Lets face it, objectively, Gamefreak does
a lot of Mistakes nowadays. They do wrong and they
dont do it rarely...
That's not me being a 'hater', it's just the sad facts.
Mind the word 'sad' here.
So this here is, i'd say, more than just 'entertaiment' on youtube.
It's more. It's depper.
This here? The Kaskade Region?
It's not on the level of the stuff another certain youtube-buddy
does his stuff, but that isnt even criticism - it's the opposite.
It's amazing that this here, the Kaskade Region, isnt even the
Best Example. Which gives it extra-value, if you get what i mean,
which you probably dont, cause this comment is rather meta
and therefore confusing. ...Duh...
Well, anyway: I hope Gamefreak fins back to being
creative and gets into actual contact with the fanbase,
which they apparently totally are not,
evidend alone by their official statement
to the Rival-Issue. A statement that
shows clear as day that they
are extremly Off-Fanbase
or even Off-Reality...
@@slevinchannel7589 stop just copy pasting the same “creativity is important” blah blah blah
Yanmage was made for me: A DND nerd who likes to play magical characters.
yeah. it literally has a D20 in it's chest lol
same i make ma own charactors in dnd so now the next is a bug mage
It's D.A.D
it's signature move need to bee "destiny dice" if it's one, yanmage hurt itself. if it's twenty, it's one hit KO.
@@dorsivan4633 a roulette move, competitive players will (sarcasm) love it
All these awesome Pokémon and we ain’t never getting any of them
Agreed someone should make the game so he can play it
CopiousSage sad i know
Someone will make a fan game.
It’s a shame
@Fox228 ! why would him working at game make a difference? Do you mean Game Freak?
If you think grass-fire is a typing that shouldn't exist, I point you to lotad, and that one geothernal power plant that they called a pokemon.
Elaborate please?
You mean Xurkitree?
Lockstin: talks about normal ghost types
*HISUIAN ZORUA/ZOROARK WANTS TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION*

Too far? No? Yes? XD
I'm missing something here..

The snail... just goes to show that even if it’s a clever design... that doesn’t mean people will automatically like it. Because that was setting off more alarms as the info dump went on.
Gamefreak to their art staff: WRITE THAT DOWN WRITE THAT DOWN
gamefreak doesn't watch poketubers unless they would have been doing all this
It really hurts because they could’ve done something like this, but they don’t like taking ideas from fans.

Lockstin: How do you mix metal and poison? With mercury!
Meltan: That's where you're wrong bucko
Nomobjeka: exists
Grimsnarl: you don't wanna go down that path believe me
I don't get it... ^^; Is it something to do with the protests he was talking about? /genq
I think I was making a reference to how humanoid it is. Grimsnarl got a lot of backlash.
Sighlo may be problematic if you want to do a “who’s that Pokémon” segment
i keep saying "It's Sighlo" in an attempt to figure out the problem. I don't get it

It looks like a dildo -_-
Ah. I knew more people would see the funny thing about shigloo.
@@melanielowe5690 you mean a ditto XD
I feel like that snail isnt getting enough love in the comments. A bunch of cool inspiration plus possibly the best design in the video. I want that snail
I understand that it's many months after the video has come out, but I'm loving the fact that Yanmage has a D-20 in it's orb
Fun/Cursed ability should involve that die! Each attack/move get a 1d20 roll and can affect damage output.
1 - self inflicted
2-5 - 1/2 damage
6-9 - 1/4 damage
10 - normal
11-15 - 2x damage
16-19 - 4x damage
20 - instant KO
I just noticed that "Opakespiel" has no 2nd "p" in the video. Weird.
Ya me too
I noticed right away, but Lockstin and team admit grammar/spelling aren’t their strong suit. Still, it makes me wonder if it was Lockstin pronouncing his own Lockemon wrong or a spelling error ^-^()
“Poison/Psychic time!”
Is anybody else gonna tell him or should I?
Yeah... but the video or at least the fakemon was probably in production before we knew that.
Maybe the art was made before Galarian slowpoke was revealed
Yeah I'm pretty sure the art was made before Galar slowbro, I saw the artist post it on Instagram before galar slowbro's reveal
I think- don't attack me
@Michael Good naw, he references the current wave of protests, Slowbro was revealed before Floyd died and all of this started
I have been waiting for so long for a new Kascade vid!
We all have.
Yes
I would so play this game! Great ideas for the unused type combos!
