"This is a little dark for pokemon" in gen 4 Cyrus literally tried to destroy the entire universe.
In X/Y Lysander tried to caue a nuclear holocaust.
Black2/White2 main antagonist was going to release all pokémon but keep his own and basically try to take over the world as a dictator. Let's not forget how Team Aqua/Magma was planning to flood the earth/drain the sea. The world is always at stake in Pokémon games, unless it's Johto or Kanto who just had the mafia to contend with.

I just want to know the power scaling on these things, Like, Is Endram-Odai stronger than Arceus? Or, how do eldrige beings work? Because it would be weird to have the creature of the Universe and, then just add in ultra beasts stronger than it.

Yes I know Revylon shares Fire with Lamentu, but its primary type is Ground and it has a rocky body so I feel like it fits Earth better.
While Endram-odai master of all four elements has some ways to go.

You know, I would love if Endram-Odai was SO powerful (he gets weaker when caught) that you have to throw out ALL 6 of your Pokémon at once to beat him
That aspect combined with the ‘glitchy text’ and ‘forgetting your Pokémon’s names’ aspects of the fight would make for an absolutely hectic battle.
@@michaelnelson1127 Imagine that if it's HP drops to zero it dosen't faint and instead it breaks the fourth wall and starts speaking directly to the player (you, not the trainer) while looking at the screen, and not with text, like actual voice acting, and it tries to manipulate you into letting it win, and if it fails it starts attacking you directly and you need to fight it yourself (you can use the mouse to attack it by clicking at it, throwing objects at it or dragging the parisite off of it while having to also you the mouse and arrow keys to dodge or block attacks), If you fail, you watch a cutscene of it killing your entire team and trainer while your screen is craked and you can't do anything and then it just looks at you again, chuckles and then the game crashes.

Yeah, not sure how he missed that. The lamb being Christ is about the most obvious piece of symbolism in Revelation.
Figured the lamb that symbolizes Jesus is fine as it's still a lamb. Whereas the horseman is literally Jesus on a horse.
Just that extra degree of separation makes me okay with it. Probably should have mentioned that in the video though.

I love that Endram Odai's typing isn't Dark, Ghost, or Psychic but instead Dragon-Fairy. It's an example of a sinister, evil Pokemon not necessarily being Dark, since the belief that the Dark type is simply evil, shadows, emo type stuff. A sinister legendary Pokemon, that erupts in Infinite Energy, that we struggle to perceive the true form of is amazing.
Considering how Lockstin defines the dragon and fairy typings; the whale having both the magic types and just be this giant reality bending monster only makes sense with the Eldritch direction and the red dragon in revelation.
@DaFuzzBearYT Yeah man. Ghost, Psychic, Poison, definitely. But some other types can be sinister by themselves. A Water Type that drowns its prey, Fairies that are mischievous, and cruel. Fire Type arsonist 🔥🔥🔥... So much potential for evil 😈.
@@themasterblaze7563 Dragon and Fairy are both essentially the default 'magic' types of Pokemon. Im just so happy to see an evil Pokemon that isn't inherently Dark type. In the plot video, Endram Odai seemed to me to be a strong Dark-Psychic Type, due to the evil intent on destroying everything and everyone, and the mass brainwashing, taking over all the feeble minds in the Kaskade Region.
@@zacharymaher2855 I figured it's design was a red herring after watching the plot video and hearing about the parasite, but yeah. It's mad nice to not have another edgy dark type.
I mean it's not just a belief that's actually what dark type is since in Japan it is called the evil type. I do agree though, and it's original, a very powerful combination, not done before. I don't count temporary form change things like Mega Altaria or Galarian Darmanitan, therefor ice fire and dragon fairy would be brand new types in my opinion.
The biggest threat to Endram-Odai: Higher-Dimentional Harpoonists.

@@VerySnowyDay Perhaps a trumpet for Endram (because of the seven+ trumpets blown by the angels in Revelation, also trumpets sound sort of like whales) and a therumin for Odai (just seems right, and can sound sinister and otherworldy)?

@@ShnoodleMc The final boss of Super Mystery Dungeon is known as Dark Matter. it is a entity composed of all the negative emotions of everyone in the world. In is also capable of mind controlling those with darkness in their nature. It manages to steal the Tree of Life, resulting the the entire planet to begin falling out of orbit. there's also an awesome scene of every single Legendary capable of acting (all gen 1-6, minus a select few for plot reason) working together to try and stop this. It still falls to you and your partner to save the Tree of Life, and the lives of the entire world with it.

Until the fan game is released, my personal headcanon is that Endram-Odai's parasite is a colony of or secretion made by the Orbtholod, because IMO the buildup they were given by the Plot Video made it seem anticlimactic that they were just scouts, and the parasite idea sort of came out of nowhere. This would make the Orbtholod themselves the true main antagonists of the game, while still keeping their motives, origins, and true nature unknown and unknowable.
They don’t say where the parasite comes from, so this is cannon to whoever reads this.
I personally think that the Orbtholod were originally just like cultists, worshipping the parasite on Endram-Odai and hoping to control it. But then the Parasite got its hands on the space whale and then they become the servants instead.
As a compassionate but apologetic Christian, that defense of why no one can know the time of the “End of Days” slapped! HARD! Thank you very much Lockstin! Keep up the good work. I’m absolutely enthralled by this series and your dedication!

I like how while Lamentu doesn’t really have seven horns, her hair is kinda styled to look like 5 horns
And if you combine those with the other horns you get a total of 7 horns

The whole "becoming a servant of the planet-eater to protect your own" is just the last nail in the coffin: Endram Odai is Galactus.
Also I'm purely amazed by all these designs, Lamentu would be one of my top 10 pokemon if it was real. That fangame cannot come soon enough (with proper time for polish, of course. Idk how the legality of profiting off the game would go, but I would gladly donate a full game's price to play it)
I love the fact that Endrom-Odai is a cataclysmic elder god who brings about the end of worlds, but still capturable as you defeat it and weaken the parasite, making it's power far more passive as it's just a whale from a higher being that can't even think of acting like that
Endram-Odai is absolutely without question the greatest fakemon concept I have ever seen. I was sitting here watching the video genuinely in disbelief of how incredible the lore, design and every intricate detail of it. So so good!
For me It's tied with leocease because Leocease reminds me of the Qurugosk from Creatures of Sonaria and it's tails remind me of Guzzlord's claws

That would make absolutely no sense. If it's millions of light years long, it couldn't fit on this planet, or even this solar system.
@@jacobs5546 It could make sense if you tweaked it so that while it isn’t actually “millions of light years long”, its mind-melting and extradimensional nature makes its body seem as though it is, filling your vision and environment as a way to intimidate and further distract you.
This could also be a part of the battle, maybe giving every Pokémon an intimidate attack drop when they come in against it, or it could just have a boosted intimidate ability.
Like:
Ability: Unthinkable
Every turn a Pokémon stays in against this Pokémon its attack is lowered by one stage and special attack is lowered by two stages
Or it could just be an ability that makes it immune to special attacks, but that might be even more broken.
Edit: Returning to this, Unthinkable is a little too unbalanced, even for an endgame Eternamax Eternatus style battle.
A more balanced version of this ability would be either:
“Every time a opposing Pokémon comes in against this Pokémon, its attack and special attack are lowered by one stage/its special attack is lowered by two stages” or if that’s still too overwhelming for the fight, then
“When the user of this ability comes in, the opposing Pokémon’s special attack and physical attack are lowered by two stages” that way it has plenty of counterplay during this fight, though that might make it too easy for what it is canonically.
Pokémon with Unaware, Inner Focus, and similar abilities will still be affected by Unthinkable, since no amount of mental fortitude, nor ignorance can save you from the despair of the incomprehensible.
A bonus to Endram Odai, "some even say, it's as powerful as Arceus himself."
Or even more so. Arceus came form the egg, the eggshell was Endram-Odai.
Do not say that too loud or Mommy infinity will erase your existence.

I find it interesting that people could interprent something so different from the creator's intent. I thought that endram odai was based after the British columbian legend of the thunder bird and the orca. Long story short an orca was at the moulth of a river eating all the salmon that were going to spawn, the people up river were getting hungery so they asked the thunder bird to move the orca so the fish would go up stream, so the thunder bird picked up the orca and dropped it on a mountain. Endram odai has a past with the thunder bird and the main character sees them for the first time on a mountain, also ORCA, ODAI are both four letter words that start with O and has an A near the end.

Actually, any mainline Pokémon game has high stakes except for Kanto and Johto. They are, for the most part except Gen 5 and 7, buried under silly plots for people to notice
I really dig these, especially Leoseace and Lamentu. I also like how the story is a mix betweeb revelation AND Lovecraft and it shows on these 'mon.
Like revelation but instead of heaven or hell, it's just never-ending nonexistence.
I cant express how much i love Endram-Odai's design. It looks so menacing and graceful at the same time. I legit think its better than some oficial game legendaries so hats off to you lockstin and the team! Also if you ever make t-shirts with them i will totally buy one
Love the idea of Ultra Beasts without the Beast Boost ability. Also, to remove references to sex, maybe call Pestilion’s signature move “Flagellate”? Still dark, but just refers to a form of torture meant to agonize and not kill. As opposed to, uh…

-False Toxin (won't faint, but may lower a random Stat each time Horribly Poisoned takes effect)
-Liar's Poison (same first effect, but may heal and cause confusion instead)
-Burning Lies (same first effect, but lowers attack by two stages, like a Burn lowers Attack)
- End's Near (Same first effect, but heals by half HP when at 1HP, resetting the Poison damage counter. Only happens once)

Trying to keep in the theme of "Suffering, but can't unalive" I think it'll heal Status Conditions if there is one, and Inflict Horrible Poison next turn, or heal in general.
Given the promise of being healthy, but then put through agonizing pain.

I would love to see what Endram-Odai looked like before the parasite and what this parasite looked like maybe after you catch it there is a special side quest to take Endram-Odia to that spirit mountain to have Diancie heal it fully of the weakened parasite

Ortholobs and Odai are the same mon, or wrather Ortholobs are like small pieces of it left behind to ensure that they could return - perhaps torn off by the great thunderbird itself (Would be neat if there were like little Ortholobs shaped markings on its body to signify this)
And then abit like necrozma it fused with - well not remains since the thunderbird in this context would be alive, perhaps its . . .soul? It is some super powerful entity capable of fighting these eldritch pokemon so it wouldnt be too weird. So it fuzed with the soul as extra added insult to keep it at bay and harness its power
And yeah - being able to capture the full parasite would be pretty lit

Honestly, Endram-Odai seems like a very extreme version of Levias from Skyward Sword. The world is ending because Levias/Endram-Odai is controlled by a parasite. You defeat the parasite. Levias/Endram-Odai are so thankful they either give you everything you need to stop Demise or become your trainer. And of course, both were kind creatures anyways.
I'd die for Lamentu, so I think you did a good job designing her
Oohh gosh I can just imagine Endram-Odai's battle theme: a slow starting chorus that transitions to fast-paced alien music (Like Lavos final battle music)
During the music two different cries can be heard, one symbolizing the parasite and other symbolizing the original being.
Than the music slowly shifts to a triumphant and hopefully tone as if the original is winning the battle for the control, but the happy tone is cut and the music becomes gloomy again as if the parasite is still in control and the music loops which lead to understand that this battle between these two beings has always been happening and it'll continue unless the trainer help defeat this Cosmic Parasitic Dragon Horror.
For me the best video game music tells a story by itself and complements the lore of the game.
A Lavos styled fight/theme would be epic as hell.
I could also imagine it being simillar to the Heart's theme from Slay The Spire, where it gives this image of a great hero fighting against an evil deity

Pestilation would probably have moves like false swipe too because the target will not die of false swipe but be at 1 hp, just like adulterate
I was kind of hoping Lamentu was gonna have references to Lamashtu, a Mesopotamian demon/demigod. Mostly cause the names sound fairly similar. But Lamentu's very cool even without any references in that direction!

@@Taterr__Tott Now wouldn't that be interesting, a Pokemon game that starts normal, but at the middle point, the main villain is nearly beaten by you, but flees into another universe to have it's revenge in a world where you couldn't follow. Thus, you would have to wait and do a quest or two before your resident NPC scientist/Professor is able to finagle a universe transporter, and teleport you through space-time. The latter half of the game would be different from the first half, with the BBEG altering his methods to make his local self avoid other-you's attention, and their eventual defeat. At the climax, you have to fight him and his counterpart, alongside this universe's you and his team, in a climactic double battle of the ages.
I think it’s the same stakes, honestly, just better fleshed out in its consequences

Endrem-Odai is definitely my favorite...so long as the in-game sprite adequately reflects its size. I do love me some eldritch horror, so just an absolute well done to you for coming up with these and to the artists for depicting them!

I always found it dumb that Pestilence is associated with locusts since they're known for devouring, leaving everything else to starve. More Famine than Pestilence I'd say.

The eldritch writing of Lovecraft was basically founded of his fear of the unknown, which was in turn very heavily influence by his racism. The two can't really be seperated. I mean, the Call of Cthulhu is literally about how scary black people could all be a part of a secret alien cult waiting to murder innocent whites at any time.
I'm really not sure what you'd expect by someone whose only joy in life was reading books from his home library, in a time were academia was pretty racist; plus he was incredibly anxious and fearful, probably because his mother wouldn't let him leave the house and two relatives died in his home by the time he was 10.
It's not really surprising. Also, hadn't he died in his forties, he'd have probably understood what a racist he'd been, if his last few years were anything to go by

i am OBSESSED with all of these, literally all of them. Usually, when I watch these sorts of videos there's one or two that i really like, and the rest are just 'wow, neat idea!' and then i never think about them again. But wow. I love Lamentu. I love Leoseace. I love Revylon. I love Endram-Odai.
Orbtholod and Pestilation are the sorts of designs where while they aren't for me, they will absolutely grow on me as I play.
I haven't finished the vid yet but so far Endram Odai is my favorite Kascade UB, the lore and how you came up with the name are ingenious, makes me want to create my own Region and pokemon, Extremely cool and creepy
So leoseace and lamentu work together with their ability, lamentu’s expiation works well with leoseace’s soul passage, making leoseace an extremely powerful guy able to come back easily, when lamentu fainted.
Perhaps the two (or 8, given Leosearce’s other 6 heads.) are in a romantic relationship with one another!

I feel like Lamentu would have Memento as a move, since it fits the sacrificial lamb theme and also has a similar name. And I fully expected Memento to be an inspiration to Lamentu's name

How to obtain Orbtholod: Use the “Mysterious Tome” item (which is just there, somehow, when you come back to where you defeated Endram-Odai) on a Malamar inside the crystal caves. Orbtholod has a very low initial friendship, and it’s hard to raise this friendship, but if you manage to do so it can be very powerful.
That would interfere with the idea that they were never actually native, so probably not
