My New Condo Tour Now Fully Furnished & What it Costs in 2023! 🇵🇭

  • In today’s video I show you just about everything I purchased to fully furnish my place. Most of the cost went to the two air conditioner units and the refrigerator. I still have not purchased a Microwave, Washer or Dryer, but the b1 level in the basement has a Laundromat Service, so I'm going to use that for a while.
    For the items shown in this video, it's save to say I probably spent at least 111,000 Pesos ($2,000 USD), when renting in the US you generally don't buy your own appliances, which were about 60% of my costs.
    The appliances make up most of the cost while most of the other common items are very affordable yet good quality.

    I suggest you buy a big laundry basket where you can put your soiled clothes to organize your room

    Justin, two comments:
    1, Since you stated that you will be moving more often (you're only on a 6 month lease), if you wanted to, could you leave all that stuff there once you leave? Or must you take all that stuff with you (the AC units, fridge, bed, dresser, etc.)? As you, I too am planning to move around, change places every 6 months to yearly. I'd rather not drag all that stuff around, constantly, which is why my thought is to rent furnished place and live a more minimalist lifestyle, even tho I accept that it's bit more expensive in the end. And, as you said, with all the permits moving stuff back and forth is a hassle.
    2. On the gym, why not just join a real gym (outside the condo)? They're under 3000 pisos anyway for far far superior quality.

      @itsJustinSpencer  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Jon,
      1. It depends on the unit owner. Since this unit came unfinished I can aim to work out a deal with the owner to see if he would like to buy “some” or “all” of the items I have here upon my exit. If I didn’t care to sell them I’m sure he’d be glad to keep them for free, lol.
      2. The answer is Time. External gyms are better but unless they are within close walking distance they can’t be justified really. Taking a grab back and forth is a no- for me.

    • @jonb3189
      @jonb3189 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@itsJustinSpencer 1. Right. Suspect that you'll have to give them away. That, and most anything you get isn't worth anything after purchase. 2. Yes, it is important to live near a gym. Where I am in Tokyo, I live literally a block away from Gold's Gym. This was by design.

    I think you need the help of an interior designer to avoid all those clutter and it would surely look amazingly organize and clean.

    You could probably help me one of these days Justin I would like to live in Manila one of these days. I am a Filipino citizen and can get help from my parents still but if you have any valuable information that can help me find a good place to stay in Manila then I just might contact you one of these days cool tour and office. I don't understand why you would need to reserve time at the gym if you live in an apartment or condo can't you just go in wherever it's open?

    Hey Justin is there a gym like gold's or other ones close by. I need to be near a real gym. What thing did u like at Lincoln. Is it hard to get groceries in a condo is there a s&r close or a landers close for bulk stuff 🤔

    • @itsJustinSpencer
      @itsJustinSpencer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wish, BGC is planned and laid out better to be able to walk to gyms and grocery stores. Lincoln gym is good though, but might not be enough for you. BGC has real gyms, there are gold gyms and anytime fitness chains here

    Another great video. I plan on moving to the Philippines in January and I'm looking at Makati, so, I'm probably going to do a consult with you in the near future because you seem to really know that area well. I'm single, retired Army, so, I'm looking for a studio or small one bedroom(furnished), $500-700. Thank you.

    Justin lol it’s not a girl thing. Some women are messy and some are the opposite. 😜Maybe you need a hamper for her dirty clothes? Have you been to IKEA store here? They have affordable nice products and a good warranty on them. Thank goodness IKEA is here, lots of stores here only give out up to 1 year or even less warranties. When I lived in the States I didn’t go2 IKEA 😂 We have lots of furniture choices in the 🇺🇸 with good warranties. I don’t like Lazada and Shoppee 😂 I gave up on them! Good luck Justin hope everything works out good for you with the gym issues.

      I know there's an S&R in BGC, that has all that stuff. At least you can see / feel the merch and make a decision that way. It's similar to the US Costco.
