Like you I've not bought a Rowan magazine for a long time but this is very tempting. Lots of things I'd love to knit. Thank you for walking us through the patterns.
It really is a great edition! Happy knitting 🧶
From Deb…I agree. That cropped jumper with intarsia and embroidery is very tempting. It would work on me. I think it could be lovely also in plums and forest green.
Yes, that would be lovely, I can imagine navy blue in there too, you might have triggered me into making two now! 😂 I’m very much someone who will make or buy two items of the same piece of knitwear if the first one works well. Happy knitting 🧶
Some great patterns Hannah, thanks for reviewing. My absolute disappointed with the latest Rowan books is that
There are no mens patterns, something they were so good at. Finding contemporary patterns for men is so hard to find, I have been able to find previous magazines online and will keep them in my collection. We are lucky enough to live in West Yorkshire home of Rowan Yarns. Looking forward to seeing more of your completed knits.
Agree, the one from 2019 was so good in that respect. More do feel like 'unisex', but sizing will always be a compromise when that's an option and will very likely need to be adjusted to suit the wearer. We can but hope! happy knitting 🧶
Enjoyed this video ! I am more of a beginner knitter and I enjoyed how you evaluated the patterns . I learned so much more about what I should be looking for !
Hi Debbie! So glad you found this helpful. It’s certainly something to consider, seeing patterns for what goes beyond the photo. This video from a couple of years ago looks at this morning closely:

Thanks for sharing
My pleasure! This was a lovely magazine. Happy knitting 🧶
Would you use the yarn they suggest or go rogue and pick your own for the jumper you liked? If you choose it can you do some vlogs to show how it's going? X
@@louiseberman4241 I’ll be using what they suggest. The colours feel so me! I don’t have an autumnal jumper in these redder shades, just a burgundy cardigan and chestnut brown v-neck (the older jumper I knitted myself). So definitely going with suggested colours. Option is to maybe change the beige colour as I’m not sure it’s going to be ideal next to my face on the collar. I’ll certainly keep everyone updated and share what I’m doing with it.
Happy knitting! 🧶
I'm switching between my jumpers. Started cabelling but enjoying the recycled yarn for raglan jumper. I'm hoping to get 1 done before christmas but there's no rush x
I love looking at the book. The pattern feel too complicated.
You’re not alone! Rowan does create complex designs, that’s what makes so many of them iconic and last a lifetime. You can see I picked out one of the easier ones! 😁 happy knitting 🧶
Oh! I enjoyed looking at this with you! It brought back the enjoyment of handling a book.
You could just do it plain rather than all the change of colour x
@@louiseberman4241 that’s always an option, but it’s the colour patches that really appeal to me. 🥰🧶
