Dear Sarah, I am ever so grateful for your kind words and I am soo happy that you like my yarns! Yes, I’ve dyed them all with natural dyeing materials. And Ouessant sheep are quite special, it is an ancient breed they seem to be on Ouessant island since viking times, and became the smallest sheep breed. Their wool is extraodinarly light and hygroregulating and surprisingly soft between the line of rustic wools.
It's beautiful to look up the meaning of the colors you're working with and the animals that cross your path. Finding meaning, beauty, and wonder in this world is the whole reason we're here. Happy creating 💚🧶💚
Thank you so much for sharing so much knitting, love and knitted love with us. ❤ All your knitting and crochet looks very, very pretty. I really love your Coffeebean Cardigan and I'm absolutely sure you're going to look wonderful in it with your checkered dress at the K2P2 Festival. Although I have to confess that everytime when I hear about it (and it's getting mentioned a lot, because it feels like all my favorite podcasters will be there) I feel sad about not being able to go there too. As of now it's not possible to be away from my family overnight yet and also I couldn't justify the money I would have to spend to get there. Can't bring them all with me either. It's about a 7hour drive there one way. Nothing you would want for children nor your husband to endure for a single weekend to attend to something they're not interested at all. That would be crazy. The feeling shows up over and over, even though I always tell myself that I don't need to be sad as there's a time in life for everything, just not for everything at once. So now I thought ok, as it's so persistent, maybe I should give it some space in my life and gave myself permission to feel sad about it today as long as I need to. Have a wonderful day with some joyful crafting. 🥰
What a lovely walk through the forest, Sarah! I feel the same way as you about making baby blankets. I absolutely love being able to play around with color combos and new stitches to create a small, yet beautiful blanket to have on hand as a gift. As always, it was a joy to spend part of my day with you! ~Amy
Loved spending time looking at your beautiful garments and socks and hearing yr thoughts. Oh and we say a female sheep the same as the word 'you' spelt ewe. Yes it's crazy!! Hahahaha! There are jokes on this word like, 'I love Ewe' and the note attached to the sweater gift will have those words and a sheep with the wool being unravelled and being knit into a sweater 😄
We have three Ouessant sheep, but they get their cut just once a year and are outside the whole year, so their fleece is quite felted and very time consuming to wash, card and spin. Also they are extremely small animals, so it takes a while for getting enough yarn. Very special yarn that you got here! :-)😊
Next time you wash your lettlopi sweater, try putting some hair conditioner, probably about amount you put on your hair, in the rinse water. It will soften the yarn a bit and make it less itchy. I've also found that garment becomes softer with multiple season's wear/ washings
Thank you Sarah, always love seeing you. Didn’t know you were on instagram, will look for you there. Monday or Tuesday whichever is easier for you is ok by me. Thanks for the woodlands walk👏👏👏🍄🍂🍄🟫🍁😊
Beautiful podcast! I loved the walk in the woods. So nice! Your sweater is lovely. The colorwork around the middle and on the sleeves is very pretty on you. That K2P2 Festival colorway is stunning! I can't wait to see what you make with it. I was thinking leg warmers and a headband for the festival (both quick knits). I think they would look lovely with your sweater.❤🧶 p.s. Any day that I get to see you is heart jumping, Monday, Tuesday, Friday... whatever works best in your life. 😊
This is interesting! I have never heard of Ouessant wool. I love this breed. It is a very old breed from an island and they are very small and so cute. I would love to knit or spin with Ouessant wool in the future.
Hello Sarah, I also thought of doing baby blankets in order to satisfy m'y need of new cast ons and trying all the New stitches and colourwork I saw everywhere, but I also would love to Wear them. Therefore I am considering doing cowls (collars) to be worn on top of plain clothes.
Hej Sarah. I admire all your work. And especially the neckline of the one You are wearing. How do You create that beautiful round - deep neckline? I would love to know ❤
I forgot to ask about the Hinterland Dress. Did you print yours at home? I am not used to this type of pattern but am willing to adjust. I have been sewing for a very long time but haven’t lately.
Ouessant is a small French island on the western side of Brittany. It had 835 inhabitants in 2017 ! Sure some knitters among them, because while men are away on the sea fishing, there’s a lot of spare time for « ambachtelijk »? Is it the correct word you are using ?

My birthday is also November and I like this time of year. Closing the curtains and lighting the candles.

I hope your November is everything you hope for 🤩 Here is a poem about November, but it’s very miserable 🤷♀️
Hej Sarah. I admire all your work. And especially the neckline of the one You are wearing. How do You create that beautiful round - deep neckline? I would love to know ❤
When you do the colorwork inside out in the round, does it come out as garter stitch on the right side?
Sarah. Please post ( on Ravelry) your update stitch pattern for the Corran. Thanks❤

I forgot to ask about the Hinterland Dress. Did you print yours at home? I am not used to this type of pattern but am willing to adjust. I have been sewing for a very long time but haven’t lately.
I did not activate Instagram and took myself off of Facebook. I kept TH-cam and books and audiobooks and 😊 knitting
I would love to come to your K2P2 Festival, the sad part is I live very very very far away…😢
I have an instagram account, but I never post to it and I don't scroll around in it. I use it for sending people messages if I need to. :)

I want your life. 🧶🧵🪡🤎
