Hey Praska Boy, I’m having trouble finding a compression tester with the thread pattern to fit these Chinese motors. Mine runs a A7TC plug that is M14 but 1.25 pitch. The compression testers in finding for M14 are 1.5 pitch. Could you put a link in for the one you used?
I purchased it off eBay years ago but my purchase history doesn't go back that far. I did put an Amazon link to a very similar tester in the description of the video. It lists that is has the M14 but doesn't specify on the pitch. I do know they sell the adaptors separately on eBay if you can make it work for your current set up.
Bro watching from the UK I loved this vid and your vibe your little son loves the quad and his dad you showed super skills on a tight budget well done good man👍😎
Let me know what you think! It's a little different than the normal so I'm anxious to see if you guys will like it or rather me stick to complete builds.
Good stuff brother.... Real professional type work right there, I like how you have ur son involved, it's important to have the kids involved. Keep up the good work
I have a question. When I have purchased a brand new wiring loom from ebay. This has happened to me a few times now. Where the stop start switch ends does not fit the to the ends of the wiring harness. I could have a 5 pin end on the switch then on the wiring loom have 2 x 2 pin male ends. Have you ever had this problem and want was the way of getting around it. I have messaged seller and the want to give me a 10% refund 😆. Normally I just buy another harness from some where else. Paying for parts that I could use but don't no away round making it work
Yes, unfortunately I have had similar issues. While ordering directly from China of eBay does save you a few bucks this is the issue. I have switched to spending a little more and buying them off Amazon. Prime shipping and if there is an issue they have a smooth return policy.
I recently bought a tao tao 90cc and the guy thinks its a 2014, but not sure is there anyway I can go about finding this info for new parts and possible wiring harness? Got the tao tore down to the frame. Guy said kept blowing fuses and found it was cause of the rusted out headlights.
I do the same thing , been doing this for 5 1/2 years now! Works well buying and reselling! But recently I have acquired the same exact arc you have on the table! I cannot get a spark , this is my first wall that I’ve ran into!! Also to save on tires; get yourself a chunk of asfault and mix it with one cup of gasoline + paint brush stir until a liquid substance has formed ! And you kno what to do next lol!
Nice man! It's a real fun hobby for sure, and one that my kids love! Good luck on the spark issue, its usually something simple like replacing the CDI or a bad ground.
@@kishaunrichardson641 No, the valves have no impact on spark. These all have CDI boxes so spark is controlled electrically. Not mechanically with points.
@@Builditathome-Restoration I'm still trying to figure it all out myself but here are a few things I can recommend: 1) Study other TH-cam channels that are successful. Video titles, thumbnails, and how they edit. 2) Make quality videos over quantity. When you're famous you can post anything and people will watch. When you're trying to grow and you pair a good video with a bad one then your subscribers will loose interest. 3) Be engaged with your viewers. Respond to every single comment! Hope that helps!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks man! If this video goes over well I will try and break up the restorations with videos like this because I do them so often. As always, thanks for watching!

Job well done you are a master at your craft in my eyes. Sing more fun than going out and working on engines and wrenching in the shop I love to do it myself to
@@PraskaBoysGarage Same here I love going out into my shop and even if I don’t end up wrenching on anything just looking at all the stuff I have in there all my family history in there
Kind of, but not directly the removal. I have a complete "How To" wiring video that doesn't use the remote system. That video is link in the description below! Thanks for watching!
I don't know 100%. When I take them off I leave them on the table in the order they came out. However if I were to make a guess, Id say the longer bolts are on the bottom due to the incline of the head is longer on the bottom than on top. Again, that's just my guess.

Look me up and tell me what you think. I’m starting to work on ATvs myself. Did a custom wrap on my Bayou turned out pretty good. Like you said not a full time job just a hobby. Now I have 2 small ones a 110 and a 90 . One starts the other has spark, but doesn’t turn over maybe a timing issue .
I’m having issues figuring out where all the tubing connects lol. The guy I bought it from disconnected all the lines. I changed the oil and put a new key starter on it and can’t figure out what goes where!
I have a Coolster 125 and when its in gear and give it full throttle from a dead stop it bogs down ( rolling start no problems). When it's in neutral it doesn't do this. Has a new Carburetor and CDI box. I've adjusted the Carburetor ( to the best of my ability. I've never done that before). Also when it keeps dying from when it bogs down the Starter chain keeps breaking. Any thoughts/ ideas. Thanks.

Great job on the quick overhaul and wiring diagnosis. Im on a Taotao 107cc that won't crank. when you start tracing power, the wiring harness gets hot after the four function starter switch.
Ever run across this before? Thanks
My friend I just learned alot watching u with the test light and u did it in a very easy way for that i thank you it seems the lil Chinese 4wheelers have a lot of electrical problems (others hands) i have 6 or 7 here and all seem to be electrical things wrong
I don't even have a quad... But the way you worked on this, made me watch the whole video lol 🔥🔥💪🏻💪🏻
Very nice video. I have learned so much about small motors just by watching your detailed videos. I have subscribed. Thank you.
Best video ive seen on these ATVs. Great job!!!
Thank you bro. I'm trying to get mine started. I'm going to follow your same steps
You can do it! Good luck!
This is the first video I’ve watched of yours. I’m getting into doing what you do. Like your content and explanations. Tx for a good video
That's awesome man! Glad you found the channel and good luck on your future projects!
I enjoyed watching you rebuilding Motors and four-wheelers keep up the good work help me to rebuild my
Thanks Patrick, I appreciate that!
Bro watching from the UK I loved this vid and your vibe your little son loves the quad and his dad you showed super skills on a tight budget well done good man👍😎
I appreciate that! Thank you!
O ya definitely watching this when I get off
Let me know what you think! It's a little different than the normal so I'm anxious to see if you guys will like it or rather me stick to complete builds.
Good stuff brother.... Real professional type work right there, I like how you have ur son involved, it's important to have the kids involved. Keep up the good work
I appreciate that! Thank you!
I love motorcycles I love your video and I cannot wait to see more of them
Awesome! More to come soon!
Hey David! Not sure why my comments keep getting deleted when I message you but please send me an email if you see this and I'd be happy to help.
Thanks for the reply, also could it be the valves the is causing a no spark?
@@kishaunrichardson641 No, the valves have no impact on spark. These all have CDI boxes so spark is controlled electrically. Not mechanically with points.
Ok thank you!
I’m working on it now!
Awesome i do the same thing!!! Doing buildseries on a honda xr400 and a 125cc pitbike.
Very cool!
@@PraskaBoysGarage do you have some tips to grow a channel?
@@Builditathome-Restoration I'm still trying to figure it all out myself but here are a few things I can recommend: 1) Study other TH-cam channels that are successful. Video titles, thumbnails, and how they edit. 2) Make quality videos over quantity. When you're famous you can post anything and people will watch. When you're trying to grow and you pair a good video with a bad one then your subscribers will loose interest. 3) Be engaged with your viewers. Respond to every single comment! Hope that helps!
@@PraskaBoysGarage thanks!!!
Absolutely love this one, BJ! I also appreciate the all in one video.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks man! If this video goes over well I will try and break up the restorations with videos like this because I do them so often. As always, thanks for watching!
Great video! It really helped me restore one that had been left out in a field for years.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
Great video👍
I have a China quad that doesn't work but I didn't think about the brake switch
I'll try tomorrow thank you
Thanks Luis! Let me know if you run into any trouble. I'm always happy to help!
Keep the videos coming, great job. About to start working on the kids ATA125A
Thanks Tony! Good luck on your project!
Great job. Got me inspired to fix up the 2 I have behind our garage.
Thanks! You should for sure. Let me know if you have questions, I am here to help!
Is Amazon your lone source for replacement parts or do you have multiple?
Did excellent videos you explain everything you're doing and very good up close shots as to what you are doing appreciate you
Can you tell us some good books or manuals to read to learn to do all of this by chance?
For the motors I reference Honda Manuals for dirt bikes in the late 90s - early 2000s. I also have a complete Chinese manual. If you'd like a copy shoot me an email to praskaboysgarage@gmail.com and I'll send it to you.
Very informative video. I feel Ive learnt something today just watching this. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Job well done you are a master at your craft in my eyes. Sing more fun than going out and working on engines and wrenching in the shop I love to do it myself to
Thank you very much! I enjoy getting in the shop as much as I possibly can!
@@PraskaBoysGarage Same here I love going out into my shop and even if I don’t end up wrenching on anything just looking at all the stuff I have in there all my family history in there
Do you have any videos on deleting the remote start / security system. Those always seem to give me issues and I have it on both my 110 and 50 atv’s.
Kind of, but not directly the removal. I have a complete "How To" wiring video that doesn't use the remote system. That video is link in the description below! Thanks for watching!
I'm thinking you should swap the motor out for a 600cc R6 engine and see how she runs 😁
Konrad would love that...my wife however, not so much! Thanks dude!
I really like that engine stand where can I get one?
Wow! I wish you lived by me in MD. I replaced the carb of my son's Tao Tao 125. It cranks but still won't start. I am going to check those safeties.
I just saw your video for the first time. I like your style. Thanks (subscribed )
Awesome, thank you!
How did you hook up both lights? I didn’t see that in the wiring video either?
You are awesome I love the way you describe your videos and you work
Thank you so much 😀 Glad you enjoy the content!
Thanks man if i end up buying another quad that's needs the top end I'll definitely look at this for help and ask you
Man, crazy timing you just sold yours! No worries there is always going to be another deal!
Do you remember which length head bolt goes where? There's two that are 203mm and two at 194mm. Thanks.
I don't know 100%. When I take them off I leave them on the table in the order they came out. However if I were to make a guess, Id say the longer bolts are on the bottom due to the incline of the head is longer on the bottom than on top. Again, that's just my guess.
What kind of motor stand/vice are you using? Awesome videos thank you.
Thanks for watching! I purchased the stand off eBay back in 2018. I am working with a company to make my own since it's been so popular on the channel!
@@PraskaBoysGarage definitely a market there!
First and foremost passing knowledge to your son priceless 👌.
Wish I would of discovered your channel years back I've passed on alot of deals.. now I've fixed a few thanks to your videos. Just like you I use profits only my paycheck goes to the house profit goes to builds. I might go pick one up after work 110cc looks complete
Yeah wife doesn't like my new hobby..
Glad the channel has helped! It's a hobby that pays for itself, so my wife stopped asking questions about it along time ago! Good luck on your future project, let me know if you have any questions or need any help!
I just bought 3 of those that are broken. Hoping to do the same thing.
Good luck man! Let me know if you have any questions!
Good info. Great channel new subscriber. I like how you included your son and teach him also. Something I look forward to with my 3 yr old
Thanks for the sub, I am glad you enjoy the content! The boys are more riders then workers but every once in a while I can catch them in the wrenching mood!
Love the channel and yes I own 2 125 coolsters and now lol I’m a pro at fixing them
Hey thanks, that's awesome! In my opinion the 125's are the best!
First time watching you. thank you for all the tips and information.
Where’d you get the tools for the valves when you were checking the clearances? 🤔
In the videos description I have all the tools listed with links. I got my set of Amazon.
So glad I found your channel can't say enough good things about it. Not to mention you put an actual parts like in the video description subbed for sure 👌🏼. I have a tao tao 125cc (plate says tao tao engine displacement 124cc) I'm about to rebuild paid $125 for it building to keep.
I need to know where you got that bench mount for the engine!?!?!?
Look me up and tell me what you think. I’m starting to work on ATvs myself. Did a custom wrap on my Bayou turned out pretty good. Like you said not a full time job just a hobby. Now I have 2 small ones a 110 and a 90 . One starts the other has spark, but doesn’t turn over maybe a timing issue .
Thank you for taking your time and doing these very enjoyable videos man!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
Can you break down which colors are for what for the headlights? Thanks
The headlights have (2) 3 prong plugs. The wires are Blue, White, & Green
I’m having issues figuring out where all the tubing connects lol. The guy I bought it from disconnected all the lines. I changed the oil and put a new key starter on it and can’t figure out what goes where!
Did u measured the piston rings gaps on the bore right? Right? 😮
Thanks.
