Next Best Real option is picking up a cheap flux core welder from harbor freight or somewhere similar, if thats really not an option lots of really thick bolts but i would not recommend it theyre guaranteed to fail if your using them structurally.
It's the stock rear sprocket. As far as tooth count I'd have to check. Then we do 40 or 41 chain with the bigger sprocket that comes with the torque converter
yall talking about those chinese frames being crooked yeah thats exactly right ive got a coleman ct 200 u ex the the left ear on my bike is welded on crooked and makes the rear wheel sit crooked apparently whoever set the the machine up to weld it was not only slant eyed they was crosseyed and drunk too cause a lot of those frames left the factory welded crooked hell i saw a brand new one at lowes last summer with the same crooked back wheel
Nice build, have you guys ever done a Polaris 90? I’m only asking because I have one and the engine blew and I’ve been wanting to put a predator in it but I was wondering if would work because the sprocket is on the other side.
i have cut that back plate down a couple times for clearance issues its only real purpose is chain guard but you can take 2 inches off the bottom of it and theres still plenty of plate guarding the sprocket.
Great Video BTW Sick Build!
If I don’t have a wielder!! Next best option cuz that’s where I been stopped at for so long???

did that atv come stock with the rear axle sprocket on the left? or did u flip the axle?
It came like that. We have only had to flip one and it was a really weird styled old quad
Nice build! 🔥
Thanks !!
@@thehoperanchchannel4950 love it what would u charge to duplicate it
How big was the original engine? 50cc I assume, trying to figure out if a 212 would fit it my project quad
@@Harry-T5These are usually 110cc, this one was.
@@thehoperanchchannel4950 thanks for letting me know
How long was that chain? Would a 140 link be plenty enough for what id need?
we usually just get a 10 foot box from Tractor Supply.
What size rear sprocket you running if you don’t mind me asking bud?

@@thehoperanchchannel4950 good looks thank you
A 212 non hemi cam will fit a hemi it’s just the flywheels that are different
I picked up two Chinese quads to do the predator swap. But both these quads have the chain on the opposite side. Any suggestions?
Flip the rear end. Then you'll have to do brakes differently.

Same here
How many of these things have you guy's built?
I think we've built 10 of them. The one we're building now is gonna be rad
@@thehoperanchchannel4950 cool!! Cant wait for the video! Building my first one now!

We did a more common quad and put a 420 on it. We just flipped the rear axle
@@thehoperanchchannel4950 ahh ok makes sense, Thanks for such a quick reply
@@justin_steen just measure from the bearing out to the hub and see if the axle is offset first. Thanks for watching !!
@@thehoperanchchannel4950 Ok thanks for the tip
@@thehoperanchchannel4950 oh and one more question what torque converter do you run?
How you know it a hemi?
Easy way to tell is the hemi's have a cast aluminum valve cover. Non hemi is stamped steel.
Didn't think there any other diy modders in Iowa.
Yes sir
What size sprockets and chain are you using?
#40. Bigger one that comes with the torque converter and stock one on the axle.
Can you cut the TC backing plate instead of lift the rear? Similar to when installing a TC on baja warrior without raising motor? Thanks for the vids.
I guess I've never thought of that. My Baja still has a centrifugal clutch
@@thehoperanchchannel4950 there is a good video of it on here. Keep up the mini vids!
Oh we will ! Thanks for watching !

I actually just thought about this again and the main reason we lift the rear is so the chain clears the swingarm bolt.
