When you are an executive out to finish a $20 Million dollar deal, a small $30,000 fee to fly across the country is nothing. If you buy a ticket with a commercial airliner and you miss your flight because the security lineup is out the door of the airport, then you just lost $20 Million dollars. That's why this XOJET service is in such high demand.
As if the deals always get canceled if other party misses the flight for excusable reasons. Plus if you are on 20mill deal you either arrive early, or if lines are huge you manage to get passed (if you are late usually you can skip it, people understand that).
@@tomjens2046 first of all its a tax write of and its not just about one meeting. If you fly privat you can have 3 meetings in three different countries in Europe within one day and have lunch in a fourth (if you own the company ;P) if you fly commercial you need three days.
People on this thread just don't get it. There are a few million people who are so wealthy that 30 grand one way is relative to you spending 150 bucks one way. You have no idea what its like to be that wealthy and its not nuts to them.
Huge difference between Uber and XOJets: Uber doesn't own the vehicles using the platform, while XOJET directly owns its planes. More like "on-demand rental", nothing new here
The comparision is only made becouse its accutaly similar you can book it from your phone to go anywhere and you lift off only few hours after order. its the uber of the air.
Isn't this just the same thing as chartering which has been around forever? When it say uber, I was thinking people with their private jets were turning on their smartphones and clicking accept job and yelling to the pilot... "hey let's land in that airport over there... there is someone we have to pick up..."
I was kinda thinking something similar. I thought it was a lbs Uber-like platform which allows high end clientele to book a ticket on a private jet last minute with this company. This doesn’t really connect with Uber much at all.
Actually his numbers were pretty spot on. In order to be considered in the top 1% of earners all you need to do is make approximately $460k a year and/or have about $10 million in accumulated worth. To be in the top 10% of that 1% (aka the top .1%) you need to earn almost double that yearly and have a net worth of at least $23 million. These numbers go up every year, but that was based on 2016's median income...
I don't know any idiot, who will choose extra 4 hours of inconvenience for $29,921.00 I'm with you. I still have enough to pay for 10 strippers, a hotel and kilo of coke..
Lets say you have a client in LA that can fulfill a large order worth millions of dollars, but to secure the purchase order you must meet with the purchaser in NYC. You get the deal, only to discover that you have literally 8 hours to get to LA and prep your client and begin to fulfill the PO. Are you really going to risk a million dollar deal on all the insecurities and time constraints that come with flying commercial? If you are a wise businessman, you wouldn't. $30k may not make sense to most people; but when one's time is worth millions of dollars an hour, the advantages of flying private become clear. CEO's often have "call-back" or "recall" requirements; meaning important board members and execs of large firms always have private jets on the ready, even while on personal vacation, do to the importance of quickly being able to get the director or officer back to HQ in case of an emergency.
Given the convenience and privacy of a private jet. $30K from NY to LA is not outrageously expensive when you can share it among 6 passengers. $10K per person round trip.
American airlines, Delta airlines, Southwest airlines and United airlines should start protesting this service. Bring all your jumbo jets and block the runways just like cab drivers do when they protest and block all roads LOL
Why is it that there's always some low-key company we've never heard of like "xgtd7625dg23hahalolol Capital" or "123abc Financial Group" that owns these bigger companies like Uber?
really? its just like uber. I want to goto Vegas I pull up their app, tell them where I'm at, where I want to go and when I want to leave. I goto the airport, the plane is there, I get on and goto Vegas. just like uber but with planes you can't do that on netjets or flexjet unless I buy part of the airplane just like he said in the video lol
Brian McGee do you work for these people. This is nothing like the Uber of Jets. Google Uber of Jets and you will actually find an actual company that has a much more comparable business model.
Patrick Booth Keep on dreaming....this is only for those who can afford it and they are tier 1 rich people. This won't work as a Uber or lyft pool brahhh!

Interesting how they are so proud of the customer not taking part title in the jet, as obviously that write off is a big part of the total cost analysis before deciding between the Netjets/Flexjet model and the XOJet model. I guess the XOJet model works best for customers that can't write off the planes in their accounting (or less so than XOJets can themselves). Pandemic uncertainty in predicting your travel behavior could also title the choice towards XOJet, but then again makes it harder for XOJet to survive.
Anyone who wants to can go right now to one of hundreds of charter operations and charter an aircraft to go anywhere in the world they want, on demand. This is not a new idea by any stretch, but they are doing it well, and well-funded. FAA Part 91 and 135 are different regulations that demand different actions. The only thing keeping anyone from doing this is their own ambition. Go out there and get it.
If XOJET was like UBER, the majority of XOJET pilots would have their asses exposed to the wind if they ever were involved in an aircraft accident. Think about that. Move along.
If you don't fly enough buying your own plane actually becomes more expensive than doing this. Even rich people like saving money. I heard one guy who used to own his own private jet but switched over to what Flexjet does (fractional ownership, you own the plane for an X amount of hours a year and other people own it the other hours) and he saved millions. He said in order to make owning your own plane the cheapest option you need to fly at least 150- 200 hours a year.
I gave my answer off the information you provided in your initial comment. Your initial comment said nothing about you having an IRA and you simply stated you save $1,000 per month, thus my answer of 83 years and 4 months.

Comparing this to uber is an insult to the pilots and just about everyone else in the company.

they just used *uber* as a buzzword to get hits on the video, still insulting lol

i was thinking of buying a jet but it looks much easier to just rent it when ever you need it.
