So excited Season 2 is here! Thank you all for watching. My goal with this episode was to show you a different side of Jamie Dimon. Yes, there are some must-ask questions about the state of the global economy, AI, etc. but we also talked about family, childhood and how he does it all.“Sometimes I feel like I’m just riding the bronco and hanging on for dear life.” Would love to hear what you think.

Jamie Dimon's advice to his 20-year-old self is something we can all benefit from. He emphasizes the importance of working hard but also working smart. It's essential to think carefully and not waste time on tasks that won't bring you closer to your goals. He also stresses the significance of taking care of your mind, body, and spirit. When we prioritize our overall well-being, we're better equipped to handle the challenges that come our way. Dimon's words are a reminder that we can achieve all that we set our minds to, but we may not be able to do it all at once.

Honestly I didn’t like the questions that much. So much emphasis on vague, nonsense question regarding ai (“is ai and fintech gonna replace banks”, pushing on the “chat jpm”), the one liner questions on hugely complex topics. She asked atomic questions that do not incentive critical thinking and discussion. Of course she had limited time so couldn’t dedicate 20 minutes to each topic, but a part from dimon’s brilliance this was underwhelming

Personally, this is among the greatest interviews I've seen for the last 2 years. Jamie Dimon is revered for his leadership and adaptability. I love that he is not only a family man but also a businessman, with great responsibility.
Dimon definitely wields the power of AI in his bank, together with a top-notch research team. He is also complacent about the 'inner war' with Apple by the way lol. I love the fact that he is greatly aware of China, its ubiquity, and the existential threat of American's wrong leadership which can lead to many ripple effects.
After all, like Warren Buffet said, we should be happy when Dimon is running JP Morgan. It's no exaggeration to say that he is lifting up the banking system of the world.
