Fantastic video. I’ve yet to see anyone else go into so much great detail. This helped assuage some concerns I had about some features for the Platinum. While I might prefer an updated 4Runner or maybe even the new Lexus GX (which I’m already on the waiting list for) the Sequoia surprisingly may be a good option. I test drove one today and liked it a lot more than I expected to. I’ve had two 4Runners before and like a Toyota truck feel. While this is very truck-like as expected, it handles quite well. I took a longish test drive on California highway 1 in Pacifica and was very pleasantly surprised. If they can find me the right Platinum, I may jump on it.
Great review, but you completely missed the mark with the rear shelf. Lower tier is for more level cargo with the seats pushed forward. Middle tier is for complete cargo capacity with all seats down. Too tier is for easy access from the rear window with the seats in the pushed back position.
@@MikesCarInfo Yeah that's my point. Almost every other competitors had ditched live axles right now, such as GM & Nissan. Yet Toyota brought back live axle on the Sequoia.
It's surprising how alike this new car is to my first generation Sequoia. There are things that even the older truck does better, like the rear seat origami, 130 cuft of cargo area vs 87 (What!), dual sun shades in the front, actual dome lights front and rear, outward visibility, physically fitting in a parking spot, and not forcing the driver to rely on electronic aids to drive a car. We'll see if this new snail sniffing V6 can last as long as the 4.7L V8. Mine is turning over 350k miles this summer. Good luck!
Wow man those mirrors really can present themselves as an obstruction. Did not realize how huge they are until watching your video. Maybe it’s just me, but some of the exterior trim pieces on the new Toyotas (Tundra and Sequoia in particular) look a little bit cheap and poor quality. Like the wheel well flares and the pieces on the back and front. Either just cheap, or very poor paint work.
75 grand, how do people afford these trucks? I have 2 cars made after 2020, a civic and jetta and I pay about 500 months for each. This truck must be 1200 a month. We make almost 200 a year, I don't get who is buying these...
Well some maybe leased & tax right off & used for business…My neighbour sold quite a bit of Land which he inherited & is considering buying one…I’m also sure there are ppl who make more than $200k per year who may buy it as well…Btw what’s it to you who’s able to afford it? It’s not hurting your pockets or affecting your life…is it?
The fact they had 15 years to make this and there are that many QC issues and ridiculous design flaws makes me wonder how awful the next 4Runner will be
Those 360 birds eye view camera are horrible. They need to be using 2k and 4k camera. Not an old school 1080p which should've all been obsolete. The camera quality need to be fine tune to make it perfect. You can see obstruction with the front camera that could've been fix to remove those spot that are blocking its view. Just looking at all those features I can tell that whoever installed them on did not do a very good job. It just look like they rushed everything and just throw them on and call it a day without really taking the time to make sure that it work perfectly at its best and not just good. That new suv just have way too many red flags in term of quality and technology. The interior just look like a bad design and placement. Would I spend 80 grand for a mediocre look? The answer is hell no! It ain't even worth the asking price tag period. Maybe 45 grand.
Just bought one in August of 23, absolutely love it, still finding out how to work some of the tech, no complaints from me
YOU ALWAYS DO THE BEST REVIEWS!!!!!!
By far the best review ever
So Cool 😍😍
My Dream Car 🥰🥰
My everyday SUV!! Awesome review Mike.

👍👍🇼🇸
By far best sequoia review video sir!
BTW. My cap is coming in this week. Don't have kiddos so the 3rd row shall be deleted!
Wow. This is a real in-depth video. I almost feel like I own one already.
Beautiful SUV. Wow. Toyota are inspired. 💥💥💥💥💥
I love your yellow finger!
Mike awesome review please keep it up ))))
For the door steps, can i set one side off, another side on and off every time passager open the door?

Thanks, that makes me understand the intention of the shelf a little better. It could have been designed better in my opinion.
@@MikesCarInfo I’m with you. Love the self idea, but that big of an SUV should have more cargo area
wait are you saying the rear window opens independently of the gate?
Great video!
That cargo space is a joke!
This generation is a joke, live axle!
You expected cargo space out of a huge suv? Wow you’re an idiot
That price and have to be wait for 5 years is a joke.

That 3rd row seats is a joke it looks like it's made for kid's 😂🤣💯
All 2023 Sequoias are hybrid. They all have the i-FORCE MAX powertrain.
Hopefully they will similar reliability to the previous generation 😀
awesome Toyota Sequoia with 437 Hp engine but U did not mention the Volume & Cylinders of engine & gear speeds ? # ❤️ 🇵🇰
www.mikescarinfo.com/2023/03/2023-toyota-sequoia.html
Why did they have to put some storage/cup holders between the seats in 2nd row? Should be clear to walk back like the Tahoes
But why did they make it smaller than the last generation? That's the only reason why I will stay with the 2 gen. This is like a 2015 tahoe

Is pre adjusted button remember mirror position
gorgeous
Excellent SUV.
هذا التصميم إثبات لايقبل الشك ان ( السيكويا ) ستبدأ المنافسه الحقيقيه بينها وبين كل من ( التاهو واليوكون والسابيربان )..
293 fuel range near full tank. This is higher than my 2022 rav4 trd. On a full tank I get 255 miles
Rav4 has a 14.5 gallon tank and should get 29mpg+. Have you had it checked out at the dealer?
It's quite funny actually. Toyota gave Sequoia irs when most competitors were using live axle.
This vehicle has a solid rear axle though.
@@MikesCarInfo Yeah that's my point. Almost every other competitors had ditched live axles right now, such as GM & Nissan. Yet Toyota brought back live axle on the Sequoia.
Is there apple car play?
I wish I could afford one of those for my wife and kids
hopefully you will get it sir
Please tell me what is the price.

Mike can you review a Porsche Macan s or GTS sometime pretty please!!! :)
I wish I had access to one.
When they make it a full EV…I might consider it. Oh, I’ll be dead..
Yea and also about 1000 dead Africans to mine for your EV batteries.
More like 10,000…😑
NY. ❤$2000

Awesome vid.
Toyota really messed up with this car.
Yeah, they didn't really do well with the new Tundra either in my opinion.
Đẹp quá bạn Chừng nào về Việt Nam😂😂😂😂😂
How much Sir

멋지다.
Then you will have all of the cargo space that you need

I think the Gmc yukon denali ultimate looks way better
Some they prefer if they don't have a enough money to buying fancy truck choose not buying useless
You have to let the back set down

Imagine thinking in terms of monthly payments. What a meaningless metric without knowing loan length.
Especially in Massa Bidens *horrible* economy 😮

@@penvon it’s just bizarre that in the WORST economy we’ve ever had (shame on Biden) that some people can afford this…. It’s quite fascinating……..
Most people that can afford these cars are not busy spending their time on youtube and commenting.
I wish they get rid of the hybrid!!
Over an hour video review? My ADHD won’t let me finish this 😂😂😂
Try 2x speed
The fact they had 15 years to make this and there are that many QC issues and ridiculous design flaws makes me wonder how awful the next 4Runner will be
I hope 4Runner will not suffer from poor design. I hope it's designed by a different team.
youre telling me.. THIS big burly SUV has the same horn out of the Toyota Yaris 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha lol
Haan yeh koi new ayi
❤❤❤🥰😍🤩✊👌👍👏
That cargo area is a hot mess
The interior is not well sorted.
too big suv for me sorry :)

For a damn 80k SUV.......Toyota really did a lousy job on the cargo area !!
Toyota is good only for taxi car , not more, no features and very donkey !!!
