I wish I had done it years ago. Recently dropped all assists apart from corner line. That will go soon just picked up my first league win since dropping them. The difference is just night and day. When you get it right it's amazing.
Thanks for these videos mate. Dropped ABS & TC around a week back a have just picked up my first league win since i dropped assists. So thank you these videos do help people.
I recently installed the “TrueBrake” mod to my G923 brake pedal, and I can honestly say that learning to trail brake was much, much easier. If you’re still using the g923 with original springs, highly recommend the “TrueBrake” mod. And switching out the clutch and Throttle springs.
Awesome video! I like the extra detail you went into this video, plus the encouragement. Excellent job. Thank you! (You make me a better driver, hands down!)
Not a hardcore gamer. Braking without abs is satisfying. But i cant do away with tc and racing corner line. Remembering every braking point is quite time consuming.
Agreed with the comment above. I have used medium/full TC and ABS since the game came out on consoles in 2010. This is the first year where I decided to just go balls to the wall and drop everything apart from corner line. And the difference is just huge yes it takes time to get it but once you have that muscle memory from trail braking you won't look back brother. My pace has gone through the roof since I learned no assists. Good luck with whatever you decide to brother
@@hamza-chaudhry hey my friend. I will be honest with you I picked it up much quicker than I thought I was going to. I got the hang of the "basics" within 2/3 days but fully getting the most out of it and being fully confident in the braking zones will take me much longer.
@@hamza-chaudhry I am still not fully comfortable using no ABS I still panic a little when ever I am behind someone because I fear locking up and going into the back of them. And it also helps that I have the tlcm pedals
I just can’t get used to having the racing line on corners off, can never tell when to brake, and because i’m on controller i cannot manage manual gears, also i’m poor so i can’t even get a nice wheel setup. But you know what? That still won’t stop me i’ll get there eventually 💪🏼
One thing that really helps to memorize corners is to talk through each turn. "Flat out down this straight, slight braking into left turn, throw the car towards the outside down the hill, and flat out again." After a few laps of this you'll know the track very well even without racing lines.
Hey I have been playing F1 games for many years now and always had the assists turned on (racing line for braking zones abs TC full and auto gears) in F1 23 I'm looking to learn how to play without the assists what order would you recommend turning the assists off
Oh…. Was trying to lock them at the beginning, Thought I heard 100% brake power then trail break as u turn. This didn’t make sense but more than one has said that. One hundred percent brake pressure oh Dayum awnsering my question.
ive started going to no assists from full assists. Throttle modulation and TC i got down fairly quick (except bahrain T1-2) however when it comes to breaking, the hard on and ease off strategy doesnt work?! As soon as i go to full brake pressure (even when trying to ease of it immediately), the time the brakes are at full pressure, it just locks completely. I havent been able to get back to my race times i was doing with Assists and the max brake force i've ever applied without assists in 70% rougly. My times (because im having to be ridiculously cautious and smooth) are 3-10!! seconds slower?! HELP!!
I've starting racing without ABS but i have a big issue. In a 25% race my first 10 laps go really well. When there starts to be significant tire degradation, however, I struggle and start to block really hard despite the brake modulation... the braking distance therefore increases considerably by increasing the lap time, while looking at professionals and other players I notice that despite the degradation they still manage to brake at the same braking point. Some advice?
I find it kind of annoying that this isn't any sort of actual tutorial inside F1 23, like give me a corner that I can repeatedly practice this stuff on instead of having to do it in time trial
Hope more people learn to drive with no assists! Thanks for the guide!!

the graph was really helpful for me to understand these concepts

I feel like I can finally drive without traction control for the first time in ages but ABS i still need to get used to!
Keep playing without ABS. It will turn into muscle memory over time.👍🏻🔙🔛🔝

Manual gears are pretty easy. Just set it to the stick where you look behind and unbind that shit. Moving it up= upshift
Moving it down= downshift
Linearity setting?????

Easy to say this if you are on whell and pedal, try it with a controller
What track would be a good place to start using no abs

@@jcrosby4804this is not true in baku or monza
i don’t have any of these in my assists i only have steering assist and flashback prompt
Press Y and you’ll get it
How do u avoid having rear locks?
Move the brake bias further forward.
