Well done Bud!! I've been Slingin' Mud for over 50 years and you're absolutely right!! A good Mudman make's the magic happen!! He makes the Welder, Metalman and Painter look good plus the finished product!!☺
Question: The welding is have to be air tight to not start rusting and 2 years later you have to re-do the job is my experiense. Can the fibreglass postphone that process to 15 -20 years?? Weld 100% air tight is the preffered way to go but still.
The re-designing work of the rear window have made the lines of the the car flow so much better. A really good looking car that will turn heads when finished. Excellent work and filming both of you.
I love the way you always compliment Jolene and that is what true love is all about, and Chad you always do a great job on the cars you build and you are good at explaining every step you do when building a car
Been in the industry of restorations for almost 40 years now. Good technique. Everyone does it a little bit different, but the basic principles are the same
My favorite videos you do is bodywork days! Being a body man for 25 years I agree it does not get appreciated enough. TV shows skip it completely and because of that body people don't get the respthey deserve. Please believe bitchin rides, extensive metal works, etc. ALL coat the entire vehicles. Don't kid yourself thinking they don't. Thank you so much Chad for showing the work it takes to get show cars perfect.
You kind of remind me of my older brother. He never went to schooling on anything on cars. He self taught himself. Working on cars ,kits, oldies is fun. But you learn from your mistakes. And in your eyes you judge how it is. And what you want it to be. And I asked him one day. When he cut the rear wheel to the trunk out on a 63 stingray. And glassed it to perfection. Painted it candy apple red." How many hours in this project"! Too many he replied. Watching you work you do a awesome job!! And you explain very well.
All throughout my Construction career, I have been a Journeyman Concrete finisher, Plasterer, and drywall taper, I have never used bondo or filler on a car, but after watching you, I’m pretty sure my lengthy experience with the different muds, I think I could pull this off ! ✌️😎 thanks Chad
At first I thought going to a smaller back window was a mistake but I’m really starting to love it. Chad really knows his stuff and takes it to another level. Thank you Chad for sharing your project with us
I always appreciate the body work you do, I can weld metal and form it to look good, but i need to learn how to fill it better. I've not done a whole lot of that stage of the work. Thank you Chad for showing us the proper way to get it done the fastest way. And Jolene, I really like your smooth camera work. Outstanding you are.
I absolutely love Chad's words of wisdom as he teaches us. He is so talented at what he does and how he teaches. He is real. It's like listening to a good friend who cares about helping you.
I miss my days of working with mud, great work Chad, watching you is like watching Bob Ross when he paints a picture in a hour, you get mesmerized and sucked in and want to see more... Thanks for the work you do
I wasn't sure about the rear window at first but it is starting to grow on me. I thought Chad may do a wraparound rear window since he made a plexiglass windshield for the car. It is really coming together nicely. Really excited that we are going to see the Bugatti come together in the coming weeks. It is going to be a beautiful car. Keep the videos coming.
Filling body work on a car is an art of its own for sure. Chad and jolene makes it look so easy but if you have ever tried it then you know it's definitely not easy it's an art and hats off to anyone who can do it. Keep up the great work the both of you 👍👏
It's interesting to watch you work body filler. I was a bodyman (collision repair) for 20 years and we always sanded between layers of filler because we were told it wouldn't stick if you didn't sand between coats. Looking back on it I have to say you are correct, it sticks very well without sanding between coats, I know this because I had a little bondo monster I made with the bits of extra filler that I didn't need for the car. Always mixing to much I never had to worry about not having enough and having to mix more. :)
Great episode..great teaching...explaining...very instructional...I read alot of negative thoughts on Facebook on the explaining of body fill to zack..and even though we haven't met chad...but it bothered me that they dogged on you...cause I respect you and everything you do and stand for..I consider you a friend an inspiration 👍 so thank you...to you both...and your friends...see you tomorrow
never ever have I thought of putting body fill in the paint shaker, thats genious man its always a pain in the ass mixing that stuff thats a great tip.and I agree with ( thefixerman ) that rear window looks amazing and does great things for the line of the car.awesome job.
Great job Chad and Jolene and Fina Once again you make it look easy. I've been there and I am no body man. Can do my best I can at times. Not doing for other people just myself. Hope everyone has a good evening and Take Care
I Mentioned This In Past Videos! ... That Back Window W/Roof Trim Looks So Awesome! What A Great Look! And To Think, You Used What You Had In Your Back Lot Car Inventory! ... Well Done Chad! You Both Are An Awesome Team Chad & Jolene!
Allright more mud slinging .. lol its a art to putting that stuff on and getting the hardner ratio right as well .. Chad is a good teacher cant go wrong watching and listening to him .. good work Chad & jolene
Mike smart Tulsa Oklahoma I sure learned a lot today watching you made that back window in I think you did a fantastic job you're quite a guy and I'm so proud that you're such a good guy to your wife and your family have yourself a blessed day today thank you
Helped me out a lot, been taking bedliner off a whole truck getting it ready, and the bed was so rough. Tried flooding it, definitely took a quarter of the time instead of a spot here and there trying to get it straight.
Your videos are very informative. I can believe that a number of young men and women are being inspired by your information and start on a career or hobby working on cars. If a mechanic would follow your instructional videos and produce mechanical videos, the process would be complete. Perhaps Jolene could be hired as the camerawoman and producer. It would be great if Jim would do the mechanical videos.
In the discussion of the fact that the Jaguar was a interference engine it would appear that the dialogue between SJim and Chad suggested a bent valve would result in incorrect timing. There would be no incorrect timing involved as the timing chain and cam gears would still be in original alignment: the bent valve would have precluded proper combustion to occur. Have I missed something (perhaps a revision of the original comment?) I am 89 next Feb and have twisted wrenches as a hobbyist since I was 14: I am generally unable to stand and my pleasure in enjoying automotive challenges resolved is now only vicarious. I am finding Chad and Jolene a absolute treasure and am amazed at the techniques so generously shared! May I suggest that Mullins Auto Museum be looked up and visited 'on line'? There you will see the foremost collection of the French autos of the 1920's through the post WWII era. This includes numerous Bugattis including the Aeronautique as is being replicated by Chad. Continued success and Best Wishes for 2022 to all!
It is good you made it known that the body man is the final and most important process of the body job. The other aspects of the job are also very important, but the final process is the most important. Hi Jolene, Chad, Zach, and Fina. Just keep it real. Bill
Love your way of teaching….when I went to school 60 years ago the teacher spoke Only once….If you took no notes you were in big trouble come testing time. Nice job Chad and Jolene !
You're so good at this work on your car's you billed form the ground up and they are one off .the most amazing automobiles I have seen 😍 love your chanl bad Chad 🇹🇩.
Wow!! l thank u both do awesome work, and Jolene, does a great job With with her video, l love ur work Chad , if people listen they will learn some thing!! Great job!.
I have watched the other shows and just like you said, they all use filler then block sand it before primer. I say keep doing it your way. Another great video by Jolene.
If you use a cheese grader when it starts to soften and before it get hard. To knock all the nubs off it will shape the car flat. Old body mans trick. And it will cut your time when you get ready to sand . Less sanding. Love your show.
Great video I like the way you do your tutorials, very informative and interesting, you have the mind of a master, always thinking as you work,Jolene your camera work is impressive and continues every video.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Made a living as body man and thanks for clearing that up.I totally restored a 55 Chevy with new quarter back panel and into tier for a fronds wife.then I hand a painter paint it and all I heard was nice paint from her.but her husband new better.told me hours and of blocking to.all the painter hand to do is paint it.
Another nice job around the window. Use clear plastic on the tail lights this way if you use red lights then you can use white lights in there for back up lights.
I like the adding resin to the fiberglass filler. I think the filler is too porous, resin flows it out,and its more water proof than without resin. I agree, bald and benton are very good at keeping the peace. Much respect to those two. I will add, the viewers are respectful of the rules as well.
This car is awesome. Have you considered what sort of wheels you will use? I think some nice steelies with chrome hubcaps would be good. Look good and economical as well.
Well done Bud!! I've been Slingin' Mud for over 50 years and you're absolutely right!! A good Mudman make's the magic happen!! He makes the Welder, Metalman and Painter look good plus the finished product!!☺

Road king? Your over here? Cool.
Putty and paint and make it what it aint

I can't believe I agree. I was all in with keeping the panoramic window.

Good job explaining what's happening and teaching at the same time...I enjoy all the videos and look forward to them every day
My body work has improved a whole lot watching you. Bondo, fiberglass putty, welding, patch panels…. My whole game. Thank you!
I have done body. Motors, bikes,my past is filled with knowledge. Plenty. I learn all the time. Hats off to the body guys. Yes it’s magic in bodywork.
I miss my days of working with mud, great work Chad, watching you is like watching Bob Ross when he paints a picture in a hour, you get mesmerized and sucked in and want to see more... Thanks for the work you do
Completely agree about giving bodyworkers credit. I've done my first flood job and had to go back again and again to fill. It's no fun.
Another good lesson. Chad is getting the rear window area ready for primer. Great work by Chad and Zack Jolene-terrific videos every day!
Best joke ive heard in a while..."chad is doing a good job". Mind if i use that one amongst friends??? Bahaha

Another great lesson of the master for those who haven't seen Chad doing this before, thanks for sharing
Helped me out a lot, been taking bedliner off a whole truck getting it ready, and the bed was so rough. Tried flooding it, definitely took a quarter of the time instead of a spot here and there trying to get it straight.
Great job brother keep it up. You always inspire me. I'm not in the best of health but you always make me smile, thank you for that and God bless
Glad to hear u testify. I'm a certified "Mudd Master". Love watching what u do.

Great video and some great advice for all the first timers to learn your areal artist and teacher thank you for all you do
I always loved mixing bondo. Reminded me of icing for a cake. Watching you put filler on is therapeutic.
Love watching chad and jolene thank you for sharing your journey
I like how you explain what you are doing, even though you have done so in the past. Thanks Chad and Jolene.
It is good you made it known that the body man is the final and most important process of the body job. The other aspects of the job are also very important, but the final process is the most important. Hi Jolene, Chad, Zach, and Fina. Just keep it real. Bill
Wish we had smellivision. Love that smell. Learned some filler tips for sure and will always remember the ocean floor technique. Thanks.
Love your way of teaching….when I went to school 60 years ago the teacher spoke
Only once….If you took no notes you were in big trouble come testing time.
Nice job Chad and Jolene !

Thank you Chad for being so candid about this process. I agree with you 100%.
Great vid! I found it very relaxing watching the flood of mud!
Love the back window much better than the original. Wish i could lay filler as good and smooth as you. A true tradesman 👍👍
Amazing how Chads mind can constantly be multi-tasking. How do you do it. Keep up the good work Chad, Jolene and Fina.
I have no complaint with how you do your body work, in fact you excel with your body work!

Great work today! Getting rear light section welded in by Chad and Zac. Also rear window body filled in. Jolene awesome with Video !!!
I have watched the other shows and just like you said, they all use filler then block sand it before primer. I say keep doing it your way. Another great video by Jolene.

as a drywall finisher/painter i respect the flood....
You make it look so easy Chad, it’s not your first rodeo. Thanks for the lessons.
Another great episode Bad Chad watching you and learning I was able to make my own wheel tubs for my project thank you!
Chad my friend, you are the Bob Ross of car building, and yes, that is a compliment !! ✌️😎👍
Facts ---> Knowledge ---> Understanding ---> Wisdom
Thanks for all the teaching on glassing I have a lot to do on my T bucket.
Thank you Chad. Another great lesson on body work.
Instead of lead sleds...now they are mud sleads!!Chad...you rock at body work! Love watching these videos of yours. Reminds me of SWRC.
That back window looks fantastic!
Hey, I really couldn’t tell if Lawrence thought it was good or not????
Of course, I’ve always been told that a “burp” is a compliment to the chef!!!!
Another nice job around the window. Use clear plastic on the tail lights this way if you use red lights then you can use white lights in there for back up lights.
One thing I'm not good at, you make it look easy
Looks great, love the custom back window
rear light is looking great cant wait to see it lit .thanks guys
Chad knows his stuff. I've seen him build so many cars and they are all fantastic.
Excellent videography Jolene

Glad you redid the rear window looks a 100% better
I like the adding resin to the fiberglass filler. I think the filler is too porous, resin flows it out,and its more water proof than without resin.
I agree, bald and benton are very good at keeping the peace. Much respect to those two. I will add, the viewers are respectful of the rules as well.
" gonna go get the papers, get the papers" I laugh because he constantly repeats himself
This car is awesome. Have you considered what sort of wheels you will use? I think some nice steelies with chrome hubcaps would be good. Look good and economical as well.
