Kris, sorry to see you letting the etron go .. my wife is upset with you lol 😂 before we got our etron your video help made us make the final decision to get ours, Thank you! As for this run it’s interesting 🤔 with our Mach E we normally stop 15-20mins longer than our eTron 55 and by the time we get to our destination my wife normally catch up to me she driving etron and I driving the Mach E.. so I would expect the results to be closer unless you need a much longer run for that to happen? Keep the great 👍 content coming Kris..
Hi. I think the IONITY chargers are capped at 350 amps. That’s why you didn’t get 150 kw to start with. The voltage was to low due to low state of charge.
The recharging speed obviously ‘saves’ the Audi on the longer runs. Nice car but a bit too heavy in my opinion to challenge the most efficient EVs (obviously EQC and i-PACE have that issue too)! But undoubted, premium/luxury motoring - I’m sure it’s next owner will enjoy it.
You're right about the charging speed. What not even @Kris’ test shows, is how good the e-tron 55 quattro actually performs in _real life,_ because of the flat charging curve. And how convenient this is on road trips with friends and family. The thing is, that you're very unlikely to fully deplete the battery before you have to stop for the first time. And when you don't have to constantly hunt for low state of charge, you- and your passengers needs can decide when to stop. Then you charge. To put it in perspective; The 2019 e-tron 55 quattro can charge from for example 60-90% about 13 minutes and from 60-100% in about 22 minutes. The 2021 IONIC 5, which has about the same range, would need about 18 minutes and 32 minutes, to achieve the same.. Of course there are even more efficient cars on the market, that would beat the aging e-tron 55 quattro on total range even in these cases. However, then you won’t get premium/luxury motoring AND a lot of space/practicality. 🙂
🙏🍿 Hmm.. not sure about that result though. Could the wind have turned? *I think it deserves a final run.* Most things went wrong here. 🤠 If you do it, I guess one-stop strategy at IONITY Lillesand is the safest.. And it would be interesting if you sort the results list by charging time.
My new Audi E-Tron 55 made it 6 days & 662km before it broke on the E18 at Sandefjord. The car "said" Malfunktion with the Battery, stop the car immediately! 3h later we got help. But the fight with Audi started... mobility-insurance wouldn't pay for my dog, because of cleaning the rental car. So we checked in in a Hotel. Last but not least we were picked up by friends to get home. Case is on the table to marketing chef of Audi. Waiting to here from Møller Audi in Sandefjord. We'll see what happens next. I love my car & i love Audi...but Audi is, so far, the only Premium dealership which doesn't make up for pet owner's. Here i will fight for all Audi owners to be heard and recognised. Drive safely.
I’m getting about 350-380 km per charge on my 18 months old etron 55 and I’m very happy with it.
That is great range! 😊
Doing 2nd leg of 1440km road trip in my Taycan 4S Today. Got 18,6kWh/100km over 720km yesterday.
Awesome consumption!
@@KrisRifa my wife driving now so it looks to be even lower today😅 Currently 17,8kWh/100km

Hi Kris, great video. Why is your registration BU and not the normal EV, EB! EC ETC.
He didn't want one.

Where stands the 55 for ?
Omdat deze een 90 kWh batterij heeft.
It is between the 50 and 60.
55 is for models between 304 and 423 horsepower. Regardless of drive line. Might have sounded like a good idea at the time.. 😂
Not sure all ur driving the battery all the way down to zero digits % is a good selling argument 🙈🙊🙉🤣
