I have the E-tron as a company car, had the EQC as a courtesy car for two weeks and and borrowed the IX50 from my local dealer for a few hours. In my mind, the IX50 is superiour to the other two because it is way more dynamic and engaging to drive while still being very comfortable. It also has the best interiour by a mile. The only reason to buy the E-tron would be the frunk and the slightly bigger boot space (not the sportsback). I can't see any reason at all to get the EQC even though it's a perfectly nice car.

EQC beats all of them by price and comfort. After my current A4 quattro 40tdi I just don't want another Audi really. I have an EQC, been my company car for the past 18 months. Very nice and refined though my son throws up practically every time he travels in it. No such problem in my dad’s diesel X1. These 2tonne plus EVs are just way too floaty. Comparing the three, I don’t think there’s much in it. I was expecting the BMW to walk it, given how new it is. Biggest problem with all of them is the terrible charging network, especially here in Wales, which is why my next car is going to be a Tesla, despite the fact that I can’t stand them. Or I may even forget company cars altogether and just buy a petrol family car. Honestly, I’ve owned everything from old bangers through sports cars and now a £70k EV. Is it worth it, no, not really. I’d just save the cash and buy a nicely spec’d Octavia or Superb.
eTron is too expensive, like all Audis the depreciation is worse than BMW so you end up paying significantly more. Audi wins in exterior styling otherwise in every single way the BMW wins

It would be good to see the EQC and iX for a proper range test when you next do one. An average over 4 miles isn't really reliable. Obviously, you've already done the e-Tron until it died.
Had an EQC for nearly a year. Fantastic car. Range as with most EV’s not fantastic but I don’t do a lot of miles so this did play into my choice. It’s my first EV so like the fact it isn’t “too” different and it was a bit of an experiment for me. The BMW is just fugly in my opinion!
@achosenman9376 Audi interior is not serene, just plain dead, same as with Mercedes, and BMW ev's. They only do that because its cheap asf, but they make the money as always, the car industry is all about cost, they learned this through Porche who almost went bankrupt numerous times, even though they are one of the most respected and desirable cars in the world. In the 1990 it was all about making as much money as possible, by making an absurd amount of gimmicks and electronic extra options, like paying 100-200 thusand is not enough for the luxury cars they make, this was what saved Porsche, its why all the other manufacturers of sport and luxury vehicles are owned by almost entirely the Germans, they all went bankrupt before that. Today its the same thing, but they learned pretty soon that people also bought cars witch looks entirely like a 3D model straight off the computer (wich is way cheaper to manufacture & produce) Look at Tesla, its the only way they have survived make it as simple and cheap as possible, until they're up and running. Now Tesla is starting to facelift and upgrade design and elements to each model, because they dont want to be a plain cheap design forever, Musk has said this numerous times throughout the entire history of Tesla. This caught the attention of the entire car industry wich quickly followed suit, its weird how they always had complex and luxuries designs and now, ohh we are just in the space age, car go bee bub be bub, a screen and a wheel thats it, ohh and exterior its "smooth" car not need any beautiful shapes and features anymore. Its cheap as fuk boí but people pay as they always have, they aint buying anything else because this is the standard now, its embarrassing really, they even make statements like we need to save the planet by making it all from recycled materials and cloth, sure but it cant be expensive at the same time, its just scam.
Just like the I4, it continues to build up speed as you go, dosen`t fade while getting to higher speeds, which I think BMW does the best in the EV range so far.
Smaller E-Cars have much more range with the same interior space making them a real alternative for fossil driven engines. I don't get this E-SUV trend...
it's because people who buy SUVs do not actually need cars, they want status symbols. and what better symbol than electric? (if you can't afford a RollsRoyce)
Amazing how much lower the test result range is compared to the WLTP numbers. It's almost half, and that's just with one guy driving it. Imagine with passengers, luggage and a trailer on the back, it's basically useless for longer drives.

I've had the EQC for nearly 2 years and I'm going to switch to a Tesla Model 3. The EQC ist a very nice car, don't get me wrong, but it's just too expensive for what it can do. If you are willing to pay that price that's fine, but I'm pretty sure there's a better complete package out there as an electric SUV. I really don't need the space of a SUV, tho the EQC actually isn't that big interior-wise and the trunk is also not the biggest in comparisonto to others. But you have to keep in mind that it was one of the first EVs and it was Mercedes' first EV at all. The range is not that good but it's fine if you don't do a lot of miles.
Funny, because I've seen it twice now and I don't know what to think about it. I really didn't like it in black. But about a week ago I saw a red one and it looked a bit better. Best EV I've seen IRL so far has definitely been a Taycan Cross Turismo though.
I take the Audi because of its design, but I wait for the facelift and the new battery. The facelifted version will have +/- 600km range, what's nice for an EV
Can you please put a link with the range comparison or in the link? That would be super helpful. Tried to scroll back and forth the video to find out the ranges
Remember back when Chinese companies were making cars that looked like European cars except for that one little detail... the BMW iX looks like if one of those designers at the Chinese company was asked to design a knockoff BMW..
it does... it has that strange imbalance in design that come from a disproportionate degree of emphasis on isolated parts that designer thinks are important ... like adding tractor wheels to a sedan
The Mercedes starts to look more and more like a Dacia Duster with those headlights. The BMW's design from the last 5 years just doesn't need comment - it's that awful it takes your speech away. And the Audi - i really hate them on this one. I used to love them back in the mid 90s to about 2010 when they made supercar performance and put it in unassuming family estate look. Very little differentiated the ordinary A6 from the RS6 back in the C5 and C6 generation and no untrained eye they were just the same car. Well now they are doing this with their EVs. They make electric cars that look like normal cars and don't scream "LOOK AT ME, I AM AN EV!!!!!!!" and i like that. These e-trons look just like the normal Qs and they make me like them for that, which i hate because battery EVs are pointless and stupid. They should focus their efforts on making HFC cars, not making batteries. P.S Why i picture Mat, Yianni and Daniel driving lorries on this road course and one of them maybe forgets to slow down and takes the inside line of the turn @16:00???
Well give it’s a fresh EV design the BMW should’ve won, I think the other two faired well though give they’re adapted chassis’ and considerably older and more compromised designs, I’d like to know why the Audi limited it’s power and if it’s a regular occurrence/fault.
But the standard spec of an ix 50 is pretty impressive. Autonomous self driving Heads up display Augmented sat Nov You have to pay for the premium or premium+ model to get that in the EQC (not sure about the Audi)

I think this cars are 3 different segments. They are like 4,7 for the Mercedes and 4,9 for the audi and close to 5 meters for the bmw. The comparison is not unfair but prices and dimensions tell a clear story, there is not going to be that much cross shopping, specially for the bmw and the others. I dont think range is up to standard but I also dont think you need the powerful versions, this are perfect cars for familys that commute, but for that, you can't justify this prices (and they are not attractive, like lust inducing, enough)
5 cm of difference btw the ix and the etron makes a car segment of difference? i don't think so. but also the ix lacks a lot of stuff -front seat leg support -adjustable height belt -roof grab handles -rear glasses don't go down more than half (also glasses are not double glasses) -frunk -massage function is only in the lumbar area (because of speakers inside the seats. These are just few i noticed, they may be more
The EQC will be the most reliable by far: proven design / build choices and it's been on the market for years. They've sorted out any possible bugs by now.
Oh and it’s not THAT important, but the USA spec e-tron does have back seats that can be released from the very back. Strange that the Euro models don’t have that like the Merc or BMW!
It's insane. My Hyundai Kona(2020) has a claimed range of 279 and I managed to pull 300+ miles from it(in the summer, no heating or AC on) And I have even now a average of 4.4-4.6 mpkwh. So much more efficient.

@@olofdaisler9121 That is most likely correct. The offroad setting gives you nice clearance and Audi do know their Quattro.

I'm still not sure if waiting for the Q5 e tron or looking for a semester-old IX/i-pace/e-tron...
The BMW IX is the benchmark for EV , as non german car fan i am shocked that BMW has just done something outstanding on this EV car.

Today its the same thing, but they learned pretty soon that people also bought cars witch looks entirely like a 3D model straight off the computer (wich is way cheaper to manufacture & produce)
Look at Tesla, its the only way they have survived make it as simple and cheap as possible, until they're up and running.

I agree BMW is the best...also kinda makes the best cars overall, comparing with others. The problem is that it has become the most expensive.
