Thanks for sharing your views on Beyond, I totally agree with your room layout, could be so much better, we normally book balcony but on our first cruise 2000, we had an interior cabin, we left the TV on with the view of the outside, so we felt we had natural light, I guess a lot of people did that because now there are virtual cabins

Our debarkation was immediate as we had only around 30% capacity. Usually debarkation is easy with Celebrity since the restart. ☺️

We were on the Edge in early December. Enjoyed it very much but really good to hear about the design improvements that have been made on the Beyond. Captain Kate was a "guest" on that December sailing. Fun to see her around the ship. Annie Leibovitz took all of the Celebrity diversity/inclusion ad campaign photos on that sailing as well which was also really fun to watch.
That sounds like an awesome cruise to have both Captain Kate and Leibovitz onboard!! 🥳

Great honest reviews as always and though I won't be on the Beyond until June 13(OMG it's coming up), I do agree with some of your positives and negatives. The alcove cactus lounge does look rather tacky and an eye sore from your video. Are the infinity pools on the Rooftop heated? Bummer if it's not, especially on chilly nights. I am staying in the infinite veranda room and wonder if the same situation about the bed being too close to the closet. Oh, how are the excursions and ports that the ship visits? Any positives and negatives in these areas? Looking forward to your next video.

Not sure on the infinite verandas on Beyond but usually we love ours on the other ships!
We recommend taking some on your own excursions as the prices are quite high for some of the excursions that were just a train ride away.
Good feedback on the “plastic cactuses” and the need for more lounge chairs in their place. Maybe Celebrity will make that change on the Beyond and incorporate that idea on the Ascent. 👍

Great feedback on everything, thank you. I totally agree with you both. Seems that you are very detail oriented and I appreciate this. Sometimes, European designers don't actually design with a lot of "common sense", I lived in Europe! A lot of their designs are not functional at all.

We have been on Edge and love the extra storage but agree with you, the wardrobe should face the other way. The bed or the couch gets in the way!

Completely agree that some of the restaurants need to have privacy from the Martini Bar and Chandelier Show. Currently on board and ate at Le Petit Chef. We were sat right next to the entrance. We could hardly hear the dinner show, because of the loud music at the Martini Bar. I would highly recommend anyone making a reservation there request a table in the back.

Beautiful ship! I agree with your dislike of the desert/cactus/rocks design in that area. I’m out at sea, I would prefer a design/ atmosphere more tied to the ocean. Some kind of water feature would look better and seem more appropriate. But hey, some may think this is cool. Maybe it looks more appealing at night when everything is lit up? 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for the review guys!

Love love love the Sunset Bar design and expansion. The new cabana improvements, too! We rented one on the Apex and the foot traffic basically through the cabana was a big negative- the two chairs by the railing were part of the cabana rental and the attendants were often asking random people not to sit in them. I do like how the Martini Bar is centered, and totally agree about the chandelier- lot of neon and square? Those little cozy spaces for two at the steakhouse seem wasted with people walking right by and the potential noise. What's with the neon stripe around those alcoves? Yikes. Very 80's and not in a good way. Great vlog! Your opinions sound fair and reasonable to me!

Tip for inside cabins...turn tv on to navigation channel b4 bed. When the sun comes up, it's on the bow cam so you can wake up when it's light. You do sleep good tho!

Hi great video!! thanks! We are sailing Oct 3 Rome to Barcelona, first time with Celebrity. I have a question about the cabanas. Do you get lounge chairs next to your cabana? My husband likes the shade and I like the sun. I don't want to pay for it and not get sun. Thanks!
Great question, no lounge chairs come with the cabana, but they are free to all so if you grab some outside your cabana, then they are yours!

You asked about inside cabin experiences. We spent 200 days in an inside cabin on Oceania's Insignia. We had no problems, enjoyed the room and the wonderful experience. The room had a loveseat which added just enough extra space. No problem with storage.
Had an inside cabin on a 10-day Caribbean cruise on Holland America's Konigsdam. Cabin was very small. One morning when we had an early excursion and had to order breakfast in the room, I ate on the floor (I could have eaten on the bed). So carefully check the size of the cabin and layout.

Concierge Class is mainly the addition of a private Concierge. Some like it but we believe AquaClass is the truly “worth-it” upgrade. ☺️

Overall, what a beautiful ship! I agree with you on the bad and ugly. Hopefully they’ll get the food situation taken care of soon. Maybe after the first season they’ll switch up that alcove seating on the pool deck - I’m not a fan, and I don’t think it’s a good use of the space.

Loved the Edge. Nice to know what's the difference between her and the Apex and Beyond.
Personally, I don't ever go a to bar either on land or on a cruise so I didn't notice the lack of them.
The room looks bigger and deeper than the Edge's inside cabin; not sure if it's standard though.
I always though Eden and the projection on food gimmicks were... well... gimmicks. Won't try again.
We’re on the aft part of the ship in July.
Is the eden bar very loud we’re on deck 7 right above the bar Just wondering if we’ll have trouble sleeping from the noise. What time does the music stop.
We don’t believe so as Eden is technically two decks and most music is live lounge music focused on Deck 5. So we believe you will not have much trouble on a deck 7. That said, we’ve never stayed in those rooms so we can’t say for certain. Motion would be a bigger worry given the aft location for us. ☺️

Personally, the lounge garden looks a bit weird but I don’t find it offensive. I greatly appreciate that there is alcove seating. I find lounge chairs to be very uncomfortable and enjoy sitting in booths and areas that are more quiet. The garden also means less people in an area. I’ll take that any day over a lounge chair.

I think that whole area looks like its been set up as a bar area like the sunset bar .. a place for people to relax and chat and be social at night ,, when lounge chairs are of not use to anyone .

6:00 - the reason to close blinds at night, is that it's not going to consume all that light. When blinds are closed it's going to reflect light back in to the room.

I wonder if the food snafus were the result of the ship's newness; maybe they've not hit their stride yet! I can't wait to sail on Beyond. They'll have all that worked out when I do, I'm sure.
Also, I liked being able to go to The Club and it be dark any time of day; it felt like a real club or hole in the wall like that!

How was the stabilization on the Beyond? When we all were on the APEX recently, that ship was all over the place, compared to the Wonder the prior week, where you felt nothing.

Is it a kids friendly cruise ship? I have a 3 month old and a 2 year old?
Do you guys do the TA rates to sail Celebrity? I've been looking at retail rates and they're way more than I'm willing to spend.
We’ve done it all from retail, to Casino rates and this was our first ever TA rate cruise on Beyond.
That said, Celebrity has some awesome rates out there, you just have to grab them when they come out!
Celebrity also just introduced Cruise Only rates which does include perks such as Wi-Fi, drinks and pre-paid Gratuities. Those rates are more reasonable as well. That said, Celebrity is considered a Premium cruise line to that of the main commercial lines such as Carnival, Norwegian, MSC or Royal Caribbean so they will be more expensive in most cases. ☺️
@@JJCruise thanks. I work at an agency actually, but Im not an agent. I work behind the scenes so I don't get to see the crazy good deals when they come out. I'll keep an eye open though. We usually do cruise only anyways. 😊
It would have to look quite different in-person than in the video before I could call it an "eyesore". It's a very contemporary take on a garden but I'm not sure what that pink line is in the rocks which looks weird. At the expense of lounging space, I would agree- there always needs to be lounging space for those who don't burn like vampires in the sun like me. Good review. I think the one thing that I noticed was the Martini Bar is just not very personable like on the smaller ships. It's large and appears a bit "generic". Thanks for the great review.

if you look closely you will see the door would not open more because of the end table :) not a big deal seems like you had plenty of space to get in and out :)

We have not heard that rumor but we wouldn’t be too surprised as she is a true star and one amazing leader! 👏🏽

Celebrity reflection and NCL Epic.
Celebrity reflection was only 50% full. Big surprise at the buffet. They are still serving guest. No self service.

Bert Patient Came off Beyond three weeks ago and wish i was back on she is one super ship my wife and friends have been on Celebrity ship but this one is tops I think the cactus look better at night and the sun bar at night very romantic I was lucky enough to have my photo taken with captain Kate and like the ship she is also brilliant we rate Celebrity at the top and have been told by travel agents they can not match them and all the staff are fantastic
At the beginning of the video you mention that the state room was great, then you go and bad mouth it. Which is it? And BTW, it's an interior room, why would you expect "outside lighting".
We provide the good and bad. Overall the stateroom was great, but there are a few areas that were not great like the darker lighting and lack of lighter/brighter color schemes to lighten the space up.
It’s not our first inside stateroom, and we never expected outside lighting. This one was just designed darker than most and felt more dungeon like than others. Other than that, our room was great and the bathroom is larger than most! 🥳
couldn't believe this size ship only had 2 elevator shafts one in the center and one the front. this one engineering flaw will keep me from returning to these ships
Not sure how you call that room dark. Walls were off white and a very lite tan. I think all white would make it look sterile. What was I missing?

There was quite a bit of brown and beige in the room. Compared to inside rooms on other shops with bright blues and light colors that just seemed to brighten the room up a bit! Royal used a lot of blue colors in their inside staterooms and we love that!

Buffet was hit or miss, but we loved the Made-to-order Stir Fry and Caesar Salad Station! 🤤

We just got off the Constellation. Room service horrid, and the Tuscan Grill made the worst Cacio e Pepe we have ever had. Dry dry dry, horrid for an Italian style up pay restaurant. Even the up pay steaks were not that great.
That is the only place we have yet to try is the traditional Tuscan restaurant! So sorry to hear you had a bad experience 😢
Agree the food in Tuscan was so not worth it, I love celebrity but regret paying for Tuscan.
Not willing to drop the extra money on the Edge class ships. I’m still happy with S and M class and like the intimacy of the smaller ships.

Your criticisms seem pretty petty to me. You had one bad meal at Cosmopolitan and bad club sandwich from room service and you say the food on Beyond is "hit or miss"? Give me a break.
Just so you know, this is our favorite cruise ship. That said, we always provide honest reviews and critique fairly.
As for food being hit or miss on our sailing, that was our honest review and we gave a few examples. We could go through every app, entree, dessert, full meal and snacks but that would be a waste of time as it is easier to say overall our food was hit or miss.
Nothing is petty. Just honest criticism based on our own experience.

I don't care for the area either. (your 'ugly') But if that's as bad as it gets, it just isn't that important. Yes, lounge chairs would be better, but the single 'ugly' just isn't that big of a deal. The Edge Class ships are incredible.

You chose an INSIDE cabin, and then complain that there's no natural light?!? Really?!? . Next time book a suite, or infinite veranda. But don't whine about the inside cabin for the lack of natural light. Otherwise, your review was reasonable, although food is very subjective, as is art. Nice to hear that Celebrity has stepped up the entertainment and we are looking forward to our upcoming cruise on Beyond! Thanks for the review, I did enjoy seeing various venues of the ship.
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! As for clarification, we have sailed in many inside cabins, infinite verandas, verandas and even some suites across 6 different cruise lines. We weren’t saying there should be natural light, we were saying the color scheme and lighting was darker than other inside cabins which makes a difference when you are in an inside cabin that obviously has no natural light.
This isn’t our first inside cabin, we just highlighted what was not so great compared to other inside cabins. Hope this helps clarify! ☺️
They didn’t in any way whine about the lack of natural light, but simply commented that the stateroom could have been brightened up (e.g. through the colors and the lighting). They even compared it to the inside staterooms of other ships where they managed to lighten up those rooms.
