My wife and I are going on our first Celebrity cruise with the October 14th sailing to the Southern Caribbean ABC Islands on Equinox. Our travel agent took good care of us getting the all included package with the classic drink package, wifi & tips in a Auqua Class cabin mid ship deck 11 also with a nice OBC as well. We will be celebrating 30 years of marriage and looking forward to our first cruise with Celebrity but our 4th overall. We have sailed Norwegian and Carnival in the past. Thanks for the tips with Celebrity fellas as we will definitely look to use! Have a great one.
You guys are great! what my hubby did is negotiate with the specialty dinner representative to give us dinner in the Tuscan Grill for $30 per person instead of $50. this was not on the first night nor a day we were in port. We had dinner with new found friends and the food was amazing. I have friends going on their first celebrity cruise next month and pretty much shared everything you posted on this video. I did write up a cruise tip sheet (2 pages long) that helped with arrival in the cruise port to tipping to entertainment. We love celebrity and wanted to make sure they had the best time with great information. Our next cruise is the Mardi Gras 2/24. Hope you guys booked this cruise!
After 5 Celebrity cruises I did not know of the dry sauna and I go to the fitness center daily! Leaving in 8 weeks, I will definitely check it out. Thanks for the tip! I agree, the Spa Cafe is a hidden gem!
You are the first channel that I have FINALLY gotten the answer to what(and how) drinks are covered with the classic package! Thank You! We are going on our first Celebrity cruise, but have cruised often on other lines.
LOVE Celebrity. Have never been disappointed. 1 big 1 is They don't tell you is that if your bed is uncomfortable ..they will put on a different topper or if you need different pillows or more pillows all you have to do is ask your room steward. just got back from a 10 day Med Cruise on Infinity. Did not take any dress clothes. Over half the people did not dress up. Be comfortable and pack less.

We loved Royal's Oasis class...then in '21 we did Celebrity Edge & was hooked! Did Beyond Nov '22 and we go back on her in Nov this year! We ❤ the Retreat and ❤ the Magic Carpet Sky Suites. Celebrity does it right for their suites guests that hooked us, and it's all inclusive. Royal you don't get all inclusive unless you do Star Class. Celebrity is awesome even if you dont have a suite, their service is superb.😊 You were on point for the tips!👏👍
This was great information. We are going on our first Celebrity Cruise in January of 2024. However we are seasoned cruisers. One thing you might add to your list is that your RCL points can be applied to Celebrity. We are Diamond on RCL which makes our status with Celebrity, Elite. Not all of the same perks but something is better than nothing. This must be done before getting on the cruise ship.
I just found out a about the RCCL connection. I'll have to check on what perks we are entitled to. Haven't cruised Celebrity since 1996, so we imagine things will be a little different!
My tip would be if your drink is more expensive than the your classic drinks package allows you only pay the difference (and not the whole price like some other cruise lines). If you get a good deal on the Premium drinks package it's worth upgrading, but I don't think the full price Premium Package is worth it - just pay the difference as you go if like us your're moderate drinkers. On our last cruise we found a lot of the bars didn't have the premium package brands or the staff tried to suggest Classic drinks were premium e.g.bottom rung Hennessey VS brandy instead of Remy Martin VSOP...and in the MDR the sommelier often tried to give us the cheap wine
We are booked on Celebrity for their Antarctica Cruise next February. We can not wait to go and this is our first time on Celebrity. I have been on 3 other lines, so I have not cruised enough to get those returing perks yet. Your videos anothers are giving me and my wife good information on what to expect with them.

JJ's!..Very informative Videos, well done! Your creative use of B-roll throughout really enhances your storytelling. My wife and I have sailed many times but never on Celebrity, so your info on this line has been invaluable!. We are looking at two Celebrity Cruises next Feb in the Southern Caribbean. One on Beyond and the other on Silhouette. We are torn on which ship to choose. The Silhouette has many Aft facing Balcony cabins available while the Beyond has the Infinite. Not sure the Infinite will be our cup of tea? However the Beyond seems to offer more from Dining to Entertainment. I would love to see you do a side by side video presentation of the Pros and Cons of each Celebrity class ship and which would be your favorite. Now I need to figure out my dilemma. Keep up the great work!
Celebrity is our favorite cruise lines! We have had an amazing time on all six of our past cruises with them. Looking forward to sailing with you on the Apex!
Something has happened to my, formally, favorite cruise line. Just returned from the Eclipse. It seemed like the staff were all trainees and the chef was trained in McDonalds. Terrible food in the dining room and believe there was some type of contagious illness on ship. Had what I thought was travelers diarrhea but when I didn’t recover saw doctor that said how it could have been spread. I think I’ll skip celebrity for awhile and return when I feel that service and food have improved.
Perhaps another tip? Really check prices! We booked a concierge class stateroom instead of a Veranda on the Edge... Just because it was cheaper...I don't know if it was a misstake, or not...
I’m about to go on Celebrity Eclispe and I’m an Elite status (thanks to RC Diamond) Plese do a video on where you get your drinks perks and the special breakfast. Thanks❤

I am booking a group for a Celebrity Edge Hawaiian cruise. We have to pick the location for our rooms. Not sure if we should pick port or starboard due to the magic carpet on starboard side. Is it noisy? I am taking retired people. We have E2 and O2 rooms. Thanks for any advice.
Hello and thank you for your videos. They are very helpful. Coming up on my 2nd Celebrity Cruise. I had no idea about breakfast and lunch in the Solarium until day 5 of my last 7 day cruise. Had no idea it was there!! Does the Classic Drink Package include the smoothies and the juice from the Spa Cafe in the solarium?
Not sure if this is a secret, but Celebrity has a great lounge at pier 25 at Port Everglades for those in the Retreat. However, it is easy to miss. It is to the left of the escalators and you can only get to it via an elevator. If you take the escalator the attendants checking your boarding card don't direct you to the Retreat waiting lounge. I've spoken to a number of people who have missed the lounge.
Awesome info. I love it! I booked our first celebrity cruise on the beyond (before finding you). 10 day southern Caribbean. Like a bone head I didn’t even ask if they offered a first time discount. My other half has already been on one of their cruises so maybe that would negate it ? Weird Question. Do they allow surge protector strips on the cruise at all? Guessing we probably don’t need it but I had bought one for our upcoming Tahiti cruise. Thanks!
No they are not all in the Retreat area, just the Edge Villas. But the "Retreat" area on Beyond is now all together. The majority of the suites are in the upper decks and in front of the ship close to the Retreat. The only aft suites are the corner sky suites. We did the aft sky suite on Edge, the balcony was huge but it was inconvenient for the Retreat amenities in our opinion. We love the Magic Carpet Sky Suite...middle of ship, nice size balcony and still close enough to Retreat. Hope that helps!😊
I am new to your vlog and am loving watching you and your travel tips. My hubby booked a Celebrity cruise (on his own) for our 20th wedding anniversary. We leave from Amsterdam and go to Iceland and Ireland. That being said, after listening to you and some of the comments below, would there be an added benefit to booking with you instead? What about booking excursion’s- do you do that too? We don’t get to cruise often (family, kids, life, etc) so we would like to get the most out of any trip we take alone. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Colleen! We are happy to help if your hubby recently booked within the past 28 days. If eligible, we can transfer the booking. We can only help if the cruise booking is under our agency. So let us know if you wish to transfer at jj@lovelandandsea.com (we will need the Cruise Confirmation to verify eligibility). For future bookings, feel free to fill out our booking form at JJCruise.com and we’ll get you the best rate which may just be a special agency rate that is better than booking directly.
I've searched my Celebrity app and it looks like I'm out of luck if I want breakfast of any kind on the last day. What?! I need food before I do anything. Am I missing something?
There is breakfast in the Oceanview Buffet as well as other venues. The app may not show it in advance as the schedule is updated throughout the week of sailing. Definitely don’t plan too much ahead of time via the app for entertainment and activities either, as those are likely to change.
Oh, good! There’s a lot to sift thru. Guess I missed that. I haven’t sailed for over 20 years, and that was Carnival. This time will be on Summit with an elderly individual who has mobility disabilities. I’m still wading through all I need to do for that. I wish I would have known they wanted the accessibility form filled out 30 days ahead. We’re just over 2 weeks out. But we will try to get what we can.… I feel like I should be earning college credits for all the research and prep work. Gah! Thanks for the video and your reply.
I have a question about the time in port. For the first boarding, I read that one must be there 90 minutes before departure. Is that true of every port? We have a Iceland/Ireland cruise this coming July on the Silhouette and the port time is listed, for example, from 8am to 8pm. Does that mean get to the ship by 8 or get there 90 minutes earlier at 6:30? On the other hand, when arrival is at 8 am, when can we get off the ship? Thanks! Mercedes
Our first ever cruise was on the sumptuous Eclipse when her paint was still fresh. We loved the service and the ship, but spent a fortune (okay the ring was a splurge but very much still loved!) Great advice guys.
Yes, we are Travel Agents and get Special Agency rates for some sailings for Celebrity Cruises. Fill out our Booking Link at www.JJCruise.com and we will give you our best rates! ☺️
Luggage drop off is great..but...cabin stewards usually have multiple staterooms open while cleaning. There is no way they can do the cleaning and watch who is going into these open rooms. Anyone in the hallways can rummage thru these rooms and your luggage. A cruise ship is no different than a hotel on land.
We feel a bit different on this one. The amount of theft that can’t be caught via the intensive camera system onboard creates for (what we feel) is an extremely safe environment. That being said we typically take a small Fanny pack with us and will keep valuables in there and on our body if we ever feel our things are not safe on land or at sea!
We love how you can drop off whatever you have, get your key and shut the locked door behind. Never have worried about the security. Far less congestion in the buffet or wherever you choose to rome on the ship. Have done this many times. Thanks guys for all the information you pass along 😊
I am dying to try Celebrity! We’ve cruised mostly NCL Haven, and as I see them eliminating basic things we enjoy, and continuing practices I’ve never cared for, I’m intent on trying Celebrity but so far they haven’t met my needs as far as dates and itinerary. I don’t even think we’ll need The Retreat. Does Celebrity still serve salmon (smoked in the am and baked in the pm)? Half n half for coffee in the MDR? Lobster night in the MDR? ❤

Thanks!
Are all the suites on the BEYOND located within the Retreat? Are any suites located outside the Retreat. First time on Celebrity.
Thank you for this. Sailing on Celebrity for the first time in December. Excited to try them out.
You will love it!
Celebrity intrigues me. Will be hitting diamond soon on Royal and I am more into the specialty dining and fine drinks, looks good to me!
We believe you will love it!
You guys crack me up so much enthusiasm such huge smiles!!! I love it. Are you both insane or happy??
Celebrity is our favorite cruise line! Taking a TA in October!
Enjoy! 🥳
I appreciate your videos. Keep it coming 💕
Thank you for the tips! I haven't cruised on Celebrity - yet. I will one day! 🙂
Excited for that day!
Good morning! Can't wait to hear the latest Celebrity news.
Good morning! Thank you for tuning in!
Are all celebrity cruise ships the same as far as eateries and or restaurants. I am going on the Flower Power cruise in March 2024
Thank you. Will be on my first Celebrity Cruise to the Mediterranean next July 2024. My question is what are the best cabins and floor to be on?

Hi! Love Celebrity but there are some things to know.
Agreed! There are things we think you must know!
Great review. Thank you.
My partner are off to Japan in October.
Do they offer courtesy shuttle buses into the main city?
Thank you JJ 😜
Hey guys. Haven’t been on Celebrity since 92 but these Edge class ships are calling us. Great tips. Thanks so much. 🛳️
Yes! Please get on an Edge Class ship!
We know you’ll love it!
In my opinion Celebrity has the best beds. So comfortable
Great information! We are trying our first Celebrity cruise this fall in New England/Canada! :)
So exciting! Enjoy your first Celebrity Cruise! 🥳
How was your cruse? We are booked on Eclipse this September. Haven't been on Celebrity since 1996!
Really helpful - thank you!
You two are my FAV ❤️
I have a question about the time in port. For the first boarding, I read that one must be there 90 minutes before departure. Is that true of every port? We have a Iceland/Ireland cruise this coming July on the Silhouette and the port time is listed, for example, from 8am to 8pm. Does that mean get to the ship by 8 or get there 90 minutes earlier at 6:30? On the other hand, when arrival is at 8 am, when can we get off the ship? Thanks!
Mercedes
Hey guys, how is the best way to make a cabin upgrade? on celebrity eclipse
Hi JJ, when will I be able to book the 1st night speciality restaurant if my cruise is next July?
Our first ever cruise was on the sumptuous Eclipse when her paint was still fresh. We loved the service and the ship, but spent a fortune (okay the ring was a splurge but very much still loved!) Great advice guys.
Happy Birthday 🎊 Jordan 🎉! Miss y’all
Booking the all included on Celebrity was less expensive than a Royal cruise when you look at what is included, and what that would cost on Royal,
As a vegan traveler, I've learned to ask what options are available, even if they aren't on the actual menu. :)
Brilliant tips, thanks Boys!🌟
Going on the Summit. Any info on that ship
Do you know if there’s a difference between (cost wise) reserving on the website online, by phone, or through travel agent?
Also- You do still need your room key to access the staterooms so it is well secure. ☺️
We love how you can drop off whatever you have, get your key and shut the locked door behind. Never have worried about the security. Far less congestion in the buffet or wherever you choose to rome on the ship. Have done this many times. Thanks guys for all the information you pass along 😊
Not if the steward is working on multiple rooms...they are all open...I've seen it on all 13 cruises.
I bet they do. Royal does. I eat salmon for breakfast every time I take a Royal cruise.
Yes.
First celebrity cruises coming up in Sept and I am so excited!!❤
We are excited for you! 🥳
Does that mean J&J will be on the Apex 6 April!!!?’
Great info guys!!! Thanx! ❤
Thanks for watching and commenting! 🥳
We have done 30 celebrity cruises so far.
Amazing! That is #Goals!
Very informative video… Thanks so much…🚢
You are welcome! Thx for watching!
@@JJCruise forgot to mention that we will be taking our 10th celebrity cruise this coming August to celebrate our 50th anniversary… We will be doing a back to back… Then we have another celebrity cruise booked on the beyond in April 2024… I can't think of one single other tip that you didn't mention so you both did a great job!! Thank you 🚢
Amazing! Happy Anniversary!
Do you guys know if the Alaskan Beers are included in the classic package on Celebrity Alaska cruises?
So sorry! We aren’t sure. Most domestics are included but we know that’s an unusual domestic if we are talked it specialty beers.
Wish Royal would adopt to luggage drop-off. Maybe to much of a distraction on a larger ship.
We wish this too! But we know that’s too many rooms to deal with 😅
We did it anyway on Royal Mar ‘22 and they didn’t fuss at us.
We are joining celebrity infinity in September we have not got a drinks package do we have to pay for water and yeas and coffees
Standard coffee, iced tea, water, and lemonade are available as included in your cruise fare. ☺️
@@JJCruise so roughly how much is latte cappichino and we have been looking for a drinks price list but anable to find one we were also told wine was included with our evening meal in main resturant
@@CaroleTaylor-rn1lg You can call Celebrity direct and get info. I talked to them yesterday and was told BOTTLED water is $3, cans of pop are $3.50 but can vary slightly between ships. I don't drink coffee so I didn't ask! Customer service also mentioned hot chocolate as being free.
so is their drink package pricer than other cruise drink packages? if so, it is worth it?
We recommend the All Included Package when booking. It includes both a Classic Drink Package and Surf Wi-Fi. ☺️
Why wont Celebrity acknowlege and clarify where and what cutbacks they have made, e.g., dinner at OVC? Royal rolled out new menus, explained the changes, etc.
Because they have made too many ! 😊
Under the classic beverage package I'm assuming beer is included???
Yes! Most domestics are included!
@@JJCruise nice!! Do u know if I don’t have a drink package if the beer and drinks are more than say Royal Caribbean?
I live in Arizona. Everyday is a dry sauna! 😂
I always appreciate you guys and your videos. Always very informational. Now let me give you an unpopular opinion that probably you know already... Jared's smile every time you guys introduce yourselves always makes my day. It's just a different type of shininess coming through when he smiles that just makes me happy. That's all!! Have a great day!!
Aww Thanks 😁
