We've got a lot of 03-04 M45 looking nissans in Russian Far East. These are Nissan Gloria and Nissan Cedric for JDM market, but they are suited with smaller engines, the best are turbo V6s or turbo RB25s
I was working for Infiniti when these debuted and they instantly became my favorite model, and still are. And I’ve had a ‘94 Q45t, ‘97 Q45t, ‘01 Q45t and a ‘17 Q50 3.0t. And I’d trade any of them for an ‘04 M45 Sport. We used to say it was like driving an engine with a bit of car wrapped around it. Such an underrated car that nobody bought. Miguel Hill....in my opinion, the 03-08 FX35 was the best design before they all started looking like fish. I kid you not, in Dallas at a dyno day someone had an FX35 like yours with Motordyne Shockwave exhaust on it. It was silver with that orangeish brown tan leather, I loved it! I'm not sure how he had the exhaust installed, it was custom I think because you can't buy it from Motordyne for the FX. Hands down one of my favorites! His FX35 was badass!
I can't remember the WHP numbers. It was on a mustang dyno at PRT performance in Dallas, which was a dyno day event. I just remember seeing the SUV on the dyno thinking hmm, interesting. Then the sound blew me away, I was completely shocked. I walked up to the owner and said wow man how did you get it to sound like that and he showed me the underskirt of the Motordyne Shockwave titts basically which was welded, I believe to make it fit. I'm pretty sure he had ART pipes too. That is how I first found out about Motordyne. It was that day on the dyno, multiple cars had the setup just not the FX. The FX was a custom setup for sure though.
I'd bought a new black w/ tan interior 2003 M45; paid ~$45K for it, which was about 10K less than a GS430 at the time, IIRC. It handled rather well, for a car of its weight and size, but it had a turning circle of a hay truck, which made parking and low-speed manoeuvring quite tedious. The V8 sounded terrific at full-tilt-boogie. It had an actuator that controlled a butterfly valve on one side of the dual exhaust, which would open up when the revs were high and your foot was planted. Think VTEC but with a V8. It sounded sweet. The front seats were an extension of the A/C system: A fan forced heated or cooled air through the perforated leather, where it would heat or cool the surface of your skin. This is not necessarily a feature you'd want to be using if you were fresh from a jog, or suffering from lower gastrointestinal distress, and had passengers. But yes, it certainly was a sleeper, and a rare one at that. I only saw one other, regularly, on the street in San Francisco that year. I traded it in for a 2004 GTO, though, as I expected its resale to drop quite a bit when the new model came out.
I've owned a 2004 m45. It was way ahead of it's time. From birdview navi to cooled seats to advanced self driving cruise control. That thing back in 04 had more options than most cars today. It was perfectly balanced. They put the gas tank on top of the rear wheels for better traction and the 4.5L motor was a monster. Best car I've ever owned. Sadly I had to trade it in because I needed an AWD car. Ended up getting a g37x coupe. I own a q50h now but I will always miss my M.
Do the Ms handle mods? I got the DE G35 and dont mod it cuz they are pretty much tuned from factory already but what about the Ms. Both the 4.6L and the 5.6L? Which is better for mods? Thank you! Love the Gs and I'm a toyota guy lol
@@eh4623 yeah but they are heavy as hell. I looked at almost every year of the m37/m45 up to the 2014 q70 and they have bad 0-60mph and 1/4 mile times. The 14' q70 with 416hp and 413 ft/tq from a 5.6l v8 does its 0-60 in 5.5 sec! My g35 does that same 0-60 stock with only 260 horses and about 250 torque. I love them and how they sound but for a 70k price tag and that kind of specs, i rather get the CTS-V or lexus GSF.
Proud owner of a 2008 M45s . Can't believe how nice it still drives with 100.000 miles on it. Flawless. Great videos btw. Cool to know there's people who still appreciate these highly underrated and over looked sport sedans.
It was sold in Japan as the Nissan Gloria/Cedric but it was only available with a 3.0l v6. Which means we actually got the cooler engine for once! Lol.
Thanks for making this video. I remember wanting one of these so clean when I was younger. Used Infiniti's are the best bang for your buck used sleepers.
I’ve been in Love w/ the M every since I was a kid seeing them glide by on the road. There was a Beautiful in my city when I was in a high school & I got a high every time I saw it. That big body streamlined style is Magnificent. & that V8, Idk about any performance mods but u could deff unlock a little bit of power on it
I've only seen them on TH-cam and in pictures but yeah I agree the 03 and 04 are the best years in my opinion. The body lines are classic. I'd love to have one if and when I can find one. I own an 04 G35 sedan and although they are quick in their own right I wonder if anyone ever swapped the M45 engine into a G35 sedan body?
I still love this model year to this day. Most of the used ones are in the 150k+ mi range, so definitely not easy to find with low mileage. Classic yet refined lines. Love, love, love this.
Man. Thats a wicked ride! I remember seeing those 2nd generation m45's when they were new. It looks like a bodybuilder with his shirt on. Such a cool and aggressive appearance. Sweet car. Pretty awesome you found one with only 58k miles.
What is great on 03 M45 is that it's made in Japan, it was built with a FRAME! and it has independent rear suspension...I have 208K miles on mine, it runs great so don't worry if it has 100K, it isn't gonna die at 200, easy to work on and parts are cheap, it's a must buy if you can find one.
03-04!!! I've never seen one before but it is beautiful. Waaaaay ahead of it's time interior wise. I just brought an 06 for $700 cash. Yeah. $700 silver paint, chrome smoked 20inch rims. Full luxurious leather and wood trim. With all the extra amenities that to my amazement, the 03 basically has with the exception of a back up camera. But man I tell you. That car is unique. I'm in love with my mine. Imagine. Just last year I brought a 08 Chevy Malibu for $4,000! Which in comparison isn't even a conversation...$700 for a 06 M35 3.6 liter V6. That fires up and purrs like a V8.
As they only sold 8,067 in 03/04 and less than 900 came to the USA in 2004, it will get rare. I have a silver '04 with 139K miles. AVOID DEALERS!!!! Infiniti wanted $4100 to fix a few minor issue their "diagnostic" ($265) test showed up. All wrong.... An independent shop fixed it all for $465. Fancy that..... They are quick off the mark, but 70 upwards happens at warp drive, and they are not "too" bad on gas. The tire inflation senders get stoopid occasionally, but i will replace all four eventually. I always have a pressure guage, so I'm not bothered. A rocket ship that is solidly built and does not look like every other jellie mold on the road, but looks elegant and will still blow most jellie mounds into the weeds!
All time legend! I love them! Jalopnik even says it will be a collectible 1 day, keep it; don't ever sell. jalopnik.com/why-the-infiniti-m45-is-the-next-future-classic-678729583
The First time I saw one I was blown away. It was about 2 years ago on craigslist. I was a silver one with clear window. Very nice car and infinite no doubt is a brand that built itself substantially too
I agree the M45 is an ageless design. I fell inlove with it the first time I saw the one in 2003 when my girlfriend's boss bought one. Many people can't appriciate how slick that body style is, the big booty and the low key rich body styling. I live in Mesa Az and have seen a few and almost bought one with 95K miles on it that looked brand new! I was hurt when the deal fell through, but I'll get one, and it will be my project for a couple years, but when it's done it will definetly turn some heads.
Always love the G, M and Q. They have so much good heritage under its names. Big mistake for INFINITI when they change all the names in their Lineup. Such a stupud move.
The first time I saw a M37 I had to get it. 2 years later getting one and love it. The body , interior ,and space inside is amazing wish I got the V8 model.
My cousin had one in white or pearl white. This exterior design is superb. Never looks old to me as well. It’s a 90’s classic type of car. His was a 99 I believe but it was gorgeous. I have a 2014 3.7L v6 Q70 S and I get plenty compliments. Infiniti has some nice car designs and they’re long due for something to take over the market. I know they have something planned. A few upgrades interior wise and Mercedes and BMW will have to rethink the direction they’re going. Haha.
Honestly not a fan of the 03 but the 90’s models I loved. but much respect. That shot with the aftermarket rims on it in the parking garage or wherever was just beautiful. My favorite hands down though is that 2011 model that was shown. Good video bro
This car goes super hard! I currently own the 03 M45 (base model) silver paint with willow interior.. Just reached 100k. Always turns heads. Also have the 02 Q45
The '03-'04 M45 has aged extremely well, inside and out. Sure, some of the tech might be a little dated, and it would probably be a pain to install Bluetooth. However, it looks incredible, and I'm sure it drives like a dream. Plus, you can't go wrong with Infiniti's stellar reputation for long term reliability. I would love to pick one up, especially for the price. I just checked AutoTrader, and there's one listed with 59k original miles for $8,950. That's a steal!
I am bidding on a 2003 m45 at the auction in Atlanta on Tuesday. It’s a new car trade in at the Infiniti dealers. It has high miles but is in amazing condition. The report is amazing. Hope I win!
Yes, Nissan even bring cars on the European market as "Nissan" but most of it is shitty renault tech. Stay away from that shit. Nissen / Infinity itself is very good... but renault is shit. Too bad.
I own an ‘02 QX4, not a sleeper of course. Flawless 4x4 system, rear locking diffs, beautiful leather interior, heated seats, best in class cargo space. 130k miles and expected to reach 250k easily.
Thanks man! I love these cars. Between me and my wife we own the 2015 q50s, the 2011 5.6L M56awd S, and 2014 Audi S8. I like M56 the most because it has amazing styling and a great daily driver. I was thinking about trading in the M56 and getting red sport but decided against it. The only bad thing about the M56 is gas mileage. I get about 15 city and 20 highway but our S8 has 140 more horsepower and gets 17 city and 23/24 highway.
The 03 and 04 m45 does not have the same engine as the 06 -2010 m45.. they are both 4.5 l but one of them is a newer vk45de different intake plenum different throttle body orientation and those ones put out 325hp, 03 04 are the ones that put out 340 horsepower.. you could not take the engine from a 03 and 04 and install it into a newer model the starter is on the opposite side for different years which will not allow them to bolt up to the transmission of the same year also the intake plenum the throttle body are different.. but I like your video!
I have this same model, one owner, 206k miles, it runs great, I plan on keeping it until repairs don't make economic sense. Many parts are no longer made and hard to find.
My ex has an 2004 m45. She had it since 2009. I use to love it and drive it regularly. She use to swap with me all the time. I had an 2005 Cadillac sts. Last I remember, she had like 200k on it, and it still was driving pretty smooth. So the engine top notch. I would definitely get one for 5k or less.
I drove one when they came out. The power was incredible. It was like being pulled by a catapult. Seamless, uninterrupted power delivery. Smooth. Quiet. Loved that car. But, I like the design of my Q45 anniversary edition better.
I love my 08 M45X. Had it about a year now. I have only seen one other in Denver area. Be keeping this one for a while. All the toys including safety features not offered by Nissan at the time, it's just a beautiful and fun car to drive.
I picked up one of these earlier this year and I gotta say I was surprised. Especially since NO ONE knows about it G35 owners will see me match their speed for a highway pull not expecting to get gapped by a black boat that looks like their grandfather's car.
I owned a 04 g35 and loved it and it's still in the family but my favorite is the q45 and the 03 m45.I also seen the m45 at a car show when it first came out and was trying to convince my grandfather to get it. I'm surprised they never became popular.
I still have mine gray w/blk interior, got her back in 09 she needs work from time to time but still running strong. She has BC coil overs and 19' Savini BM12 wheels. The 03-04 is my favorite body style of all the Infiniti M cars. If you can find one from out west jump on it, you will have a no rust car, which will make it eazier to work on when that time comes. I'm in the Phoenix area and my car is breeze to work on. Nice video Motordyne G35, and a shot out to EdBwoy for the video with the 3 M in it.
I have always liked how that infinity looks! I mean that design still holds up today!! I never really liked the bubble shape cars, but the lines on this, are just perfect! If I can get one that cheap, I will definitely buy it!!
IHave a black 1i brought from Arizona and drove it back to Texas i was amazed at the performance when go places it people ask to buy the car all the time
I just bought one. My only warning to people is that replacing parts specific to this vehicle can be pretty expensive. Most of the drive train is shared straight from Nissan but body panels and things like that are hardtop come by. Only 8,000 were made and it's a 17 year old car so it can get pretty expensive. And it's premium fuel only with about 20mpg, so something else to consider. Otherwise it's an extremely comfortable car with a good bit of speed to it.

Omg 45k?!?!?!?!? I’m new to the car community but that’s a lot of money for such an old car,I searched them up now an none of them even touch 20k
@@gelooo2x New Cars be 'spensive. 20-year-old ones, not so much.
@@ericinfante624 no need for mods. Plenty of power stock.
@@ericinfante624 still for an 04 and the price they're awesome.
Lol.
I owned that 03 m45 ... the best car I've ever owned,I miss it.
Thanks for making this video. I remember wanting one of these so clean when I was younger. Used Infiniti's are the best bang for your buck used sleepers.
I have a 2007 m45s love to see that people are still making videos on these
I drive an 06 m45 as my daily just wish it had a stronger aftermarket.
Nissan should have after market parts like the titan truck
Intakes and modded spark plugs on this car i bet would be nice.
Just hit 300k miles in my 06 M45 Sport
Wolfgang How is it in the snow ?
@@stanewill my m35 just hit 207k today
What’s your thought on the Q45 ? I just picked up my 2002 Q45 for $2500.00 and so far I love it, and that 4.5 V8 is a monster !
"It was a female, it wasn't people." lmao good video man Im looking for one. Way cooler than the lexus ls430 imo. The 03-04 one looks amazing.
Sick ass car, love that 04. Definitely in my top 10 favorite cars of all time
What is great on 03 M45 is that it's made in Japan, it was built with a FRAME! and it has independent rear suspension...I have 208K miles on mine, it runs great so don't worry if it has 100K, it isn't gonna die at 200, easy to work on and parts are cheap, it's a must buy if you can find one.
Good seeing all the generations beside each other !
That compass reference was hilarious, we all know how females get 😂😂
2003 M45 is one of my favorite all time cars! So rare these days…
Thank you for this video. These machines are absolutely gorgeous! I've always been a fan of the M series.
This and the FD RX7 are my favorite imports . Timeless good looking cars and people wonder what year they are, which is a good thing .
Hey I love this 1st Gen M45. Mine is 03 with only 104K, Black on Black like that one.
I still have an 03 m45 94k
All time legend! I love them! Jalopnik even says it will be a collectible 1 day, keep it; don't ever sell. jalopnik.com/why-the-infiniti-m45-is-the-next-future-classic-678729583
BS TECH they are nice but when they mess up Smh damn nightmare
@@vegalee8955 I understand but I'm pretty handy when it comes to cars.
@@MotordyneG35 Not in the plan

The First time I saw one I was blown away. It was about 2 years ago on craigslist. I was a silver one with clear window. Very nice car and infinite no doubt is a brand that built itself substantially too
My 2003 Ivory Pearl, Wheat with Smoked Maple, is my favorite car I've owned. Loved it.
Happy that I'm not the only infiniti lover. Got a 2013 m37x and 04 g35 coupe
I have a 06 m35 and absolutely LOVE it. Its the baby brother of the m45
The first time I saw a M37 I had to get it. 2 years later getting one and love it. The body , interior ,and space inside is amazing wish I got the V8 model.
My 2004 M45 and 2014 Q70s definitely turn heads but the 04 more cause it's so rare. Props to whoever has one. Definitely a sleeper to enjoy.
Haha.
Loved this machine. Thanks good video....correct me if I'm wrong, I think this is the first v8 in a Nissan in the US?
I love these Infiniti M45's they're are very rare. I just love the style and design of Infiniti vehicles.
Great video man 👍
As a car enthusiast, I can definitely appreciate a fellow enthusiast shedding light on such a badass, yet forgotten car.
That car is a gem…I would definitely grab one of those…
I've had my M45 for over 10 years, i love it.
How reliability
@@rashawnbey8362 I still have it. Lol
I am bidding on a 2003 m45 at the auction in Atlanta on Tuesday. It’s a new car trade in at the Infiniti dealers. It has high miles but is in amazing condition. The report is amazing. Hope I win!
I love the older infinitis they were well built and finely crafted. I'm not too fund of the new ones since their french influenced with Renault 😷
foreal? damn
I k ow hu!!!
Yes, Nissan even bring cars on the European market as "Nissan" but most of it is shitty renault tech. Stay away from that shit. Nissen / Infinity itself is very good... but renault is shit. Too bad.
Herman Willems yea and too bad that own Mitsubishi too
Yep! I’ve always liked the M45! The legend is my favorite! Thanks for sharing!
I get about 15 city and 20 highway but our S8 has 140 more horsepower and gets 17 city and 23/24 highway.
yea the m56 is nice and the Q70 I think is where the 56 went Q50 and 60 are nice
Wow, All M45 are awsome . You are so correct. I think the styling is phenomenal luv this ride .
I have this same model, one owner, 206k miles, it runs great, I plan on keeping it until repairs don't make economic sense. Many parts are no longer made and hard to find.
M45 is a classic in my opinion. I agree with you sir!
I agree this thing is a beast! Always loved these!
That first one 4 door blue one on the right side of the thumbnail was a dream car for me back in the day
My ex has an 2004 m45.
Facts! To everything you said! Timeless beauty!
I love all models! I had a 2004 G35 coupe and presently have a sleeper FX50 S!
I love my 08 M45X. Had it about a year now. I have only seen one other in Denver area. Be keeping this one for a while. All the toys including safety features not offered by Nissan at the time, it's just a beautiful and fun car to drive.
Can't beat a legend, im a 02-03 Q45 fan I've had both the M and the Q and they both hurt feelings. There Dope Classics! #infiniti Gang
I picked up one of these earlier this year and I gotta say I was surprised. Especially since NO ONE knows about it G35 owners will see me match their speed for a highway pull not expecting to get gapped by a black boat that looks like their grandfather's car.
Before I got my G37, I had a buddy that had the 03. It was SO NICE!!! You're right, most definitely a sleeper. I'd like to have one for myself..
Absolutely looking to pick one up ...no matter the condition.. such a sleek looking car and cant find one either. Excellent vid bro
I have the m35s 2010 they are very good vehicles
I updated the exhaust system, air intake ,turbo injectors and etc. it’s crazy now
I owned a 04 g35 and loved it and it's still in the family but my favorite is the q45 and the 03 m45.I also seen the m45 at a car show when it first came out and was trying to convince my grandfather to get it. I'm surprised they never became popular.
That intro is money!
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Still love M45s. Those and Lexus GS300/430s were my favorite car of that era
IHave a black 1i brought from Arizona and drove it back to Texas i was amazed at the performance when go places it people ask to buy the car all the time
As a y50 m35 with a HR motor owner, im about the M life the original M is a beautiful car. Cant wait to get one in collection.
I have white 2003 67k miles. Love it, mint condition, classic. Also the J30 is classic.
I have an 05 q45 and I believe it shares the same engine. It’s a badass car
Always, always, loved this car!
Damn bro ive never seen this car but it looks nice and doesnt look outdated at all. Thank you for sharing.
Recently saw a M45 and caught my attention
