If I remember correctly you remove the seat base and it exposes two lower bolts that hold the back in place. Remove those and lift up. I believe there is a write up somewhere online too.
undo the two clips that hold the bottom seat custion inplace. Two bolts on the lover corners of the top part and inside the armrest is two more nuts to remove then it slides up. It might be possible to replace the trunk struts by prying the ball lock with a long screw driver and the new ones will just push on.
You can find running ones that are a little beat up for 3-6k and really nice used ones for 6-12k. You get a lot of car for the money. That’s one thing that makes them great!

Sorry you have those problems. My M45 is void of all the problems you have described and has 184,000 miles on it.

My 04 m45 has a perfect interior, you just gotta make sure you condition the seats every month or so.

how is the gas mileage on these?
I get 19mpg average it’s pretty good for a v8
camshaft sensors, crankshaft sensors, variable timing sensors
My 09 g37 and my 07 m35 has perfect interior no rips or anything no cracked dash bored just gotta condition frequently

How many miles can you get out of 06 m45? Deciding to buy one with 127k
Good strong engine but some can be prone to problems more than the 03-04 engine which is really reliable.
