    To me this car looks more futuristic than any other car on sale.

    Nice clean ride! Remember to swap your sparks out often (every 50k miles) as these things eat up oil and the o rings start leaking

      Is this a common issue? I am looking to get a 2004 m45 from a private seller. Any other issues to keep in mind?

    I've had My Y34 for one year now, same as you i saw one at a local Nissan dealer and just could not pass it up. I managed to get an even trade for my Base 2014 Passat I had at the time. I will never look back, I have enjoyed the M45 more than any other car. Mine is also straight piped, and i added a back up camera.

      The Y34 was calling you, these cars are sweet to drive and badass. Good call on the back up camera too. I wasn't used to driving a long rear car when I got it, backed into a post the 4th day I had it. I've since re-painted the bumper :(

      Parts are not expensive, your problem may be FINDING the parts considering only 7,000 were made here in the US and It's a 2003. Although personally I have not had any trouble finding anything I got a plug. Don't let that stop you from getting a Y34 though, I highly highly recommend you get one, this car is the newest looking 15 year old car in existence. People comment on the car all the time and they never know what model it is, usually thinking it's just a few years old. I have had mine for one year, bought it with 157k miles and now it has 168k. In this year I have not had a single major issue with it. Only a couple things like new brakes and I got a new starter put in. I have never loved a car they way I do this one.
      Mods soon hopefully..

    • @kizito8888
      @kizito8888 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the parts (especially the exterior parts) are expensive and indeed hard to find. You have to scavenge to get the part you need on the cheap. I have had mine for a year now. Got it at 114,000 miles and in amazing condition. The car only recently get me a scare 10 days before inspection. Was on the road at a stop light when the engine light came, and car couldn't accelerate. The service engine soon light came on and i let the car roll to a nearby shopping plaza where it shut off. Restarted it and it started right up but the engine light stayed on. The codes pulled up indicated that a malfunction in the ECU had occurred and needed resetting. Was charged $55 for the diagnosis and ECU was reset. To make the story short, please feed the car with a fuel injector/dry gas on an empty gas tank. It will clean up the fuel system especially during cold weather. Save you cash in the long run.

    What a beautiful job on the body! I had an 07 M35 and now still drive an 09 M35. Your body style is timeless. It is truly the best body of all the generations of Ms and Q70s. The exhaust sounds brilliant and fits the appearance and power of the car!. Well done ! If you haven't already done so, you really should join the NICO forum. Gobs of information, DIYs, and factory repair information, and helpful members. We'd love to have you!

      +Jose Gustavo Colom Its the brilliant silver, there was yellow lighting in the parking garage which gave the paint a cool look. I also had just finished claying then used a porter cable polisher and did the whole car twice with rubbing compound and an orange pad. Then twice over with polish and a white pad, then a paint sealant. Alot of work but it came out awesome. As for the wheels, I love the look, just keep in mind with 10.5 wide on the back they stick out past the fender. I originally wanted wider tires on the back but had to stretch 255's to avoid hitting the fender/rubbing. I like the stretched look but some people don't. If your car is lowered the wheels would be to wide, if not then go for it! Your right they totally give the car a badass look. These cars look sweet in black, remember to hit me up with a comment if you ever upload a vid.

    Res just basically makes the car have less of an exhaust note, By removing it you will get a louder sounding exhaust. It has nothing to do with emission or inspection I believe? This correct

    bro i have the same car. my trunk wont open. my trunk release button does not work. Do you have any ideas for me?

    • @eastmanistanian5971
      @eastmanistanian5971  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the opposite problem, my trunk release works but my hidden keyhole doesn't. Not sure how to fix that, sorry. I do know its electric, and not a cable like other cars I had, because it doesn't work when the battery is dead. I would use the hidden keyhole above the license plate if your not already until u figure it out.

    • @highzrollaz5428
      @highzrollaz5428 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to replace the struts on the trunk by taking the rear seat out.

    • @kizito8888
      @kizito8888 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My trunk clicks to open but only opens when someone is close by the trunk to open it manually. Mine probably just needs some lubricant to open freely because i was once able to get it to open by itself for about a week after playing around with where the trunk meets the hinges to lock.

      Dont be cheap, get some 20 dollar struts and use silicone WD40 for the trunk hinge

    • @kizito8888
      @kizito8888 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      HIGHz RollAz thanks, i will try that. Not that it's a big deal for me. Mine doesn't open when i am inside the car. But i use the key and have to be next to the trunk to open it myself before it clicks into lock again.
