I saw one of your videos on tik tok and I love your content. You inspired me to be serious about my directing you had me out last night filming test shots. Can’t wait to see where this leads you 😂❤
You are so unbelievably talented (ie: SKILLED because you worked for it!!! The creativity comes naturally to you for sure). Love your videos. Keep going! 💪💖
Thanks for sharing Lizzie. I know that TH-cam has been recently promoting smaller channels and I'm glad that I found this one. You have a way of speaking. Keep at it and this channel will explode. I'm lucky that I'm subscribing as one of your first 15k subscribers (when you reach like 1M)
awwww thankssss (my names Hannah tho lol) but tysmm it’s crazy that you say you’re apart of my first 15k bc that’s a lotttt of subscribers and my 12k definitely doesn’t feel like a lot of ppl but i have to keep remembering that it really isssss 🤎
OMG thank you for this cause i wanted to record a cinematic trilogy about life ( my life as well and just very special people to me ) and I did need tips about how to record on an iPhone . So thank you for this !! Lemme subscribe too lol
Girlllll you really just inspired me you are doing the dang thing on your iPhone!! Which one do you have if you don’t mind me asking? I have an 11 and im hoping i can get the best of quality w what i have
depends on the shot, mostly the back unless im shooting myself and don’t feel like constantly adjusting the camera to get the “right shot” then I’ll use the front camera
yeah suree im in the process of making a color grading tutorial but i use different apps/ for different shots tho did you have a specific shot u wanted to know details about?
first i want to say i love seeing other black people into cinematography but something about these supposedly helpful videos don't really sit right. i dont think yall (you, megan tan and other phone cinematography content creators) understand the privilege to have just bare minimum. (more than 6 outfits and 1 pair of beat up shoes.) and be in a place where you can take multiple shots and have all these awesome clips. having an iPhone in itself is privilege as it is unnecessarily expensive for someone who has a large family. i have a dated samsung. the screen is only held together by the electric tape from the battery, if that breaks i dont have a phone. also my screen would lift past the phone case and fell, it is shattered. and i wish more people could stop speaking to just a certain type of person and find a way to make everyone who was interested in this something more attainable for those who aren't as privileged. not that it is your fault, location is very important but everyone talks about their start and what do they all have? An iPhone and they live somewhere where they can make great content cinematic. apple has not only a great camera but the free products they have for editing and such is just way better. like my favorite TH-cam valspire family. he had a camera, someone bought him a drone and he also lived in atlanta. sure he has unique video ideas but having a drone and friends to help record and going to a huge school in atlanta to study film that's privilege. take Natalie Lynn. i love her content but again the privilege to live in a stable setting like a house for most her life and getting a camera super young. she grew up in bend oregon that's privilege. location, security and being allowed to pursue her interests so young is privilege. so while these tips are great they don't reach a lot of people who want to get started. and don't have the location or money or friends because they live somewhere that is very hard to make friends. and all the phone content is the same message you can do it too (just have the privilege)
i appreciate ur perspective but it’s unfair to assume creators lives off camera-more specifically my own life/lifestyle. yes it is a privilege to own an iPhone bc they are very expensive but you don’t know how long it took me to even be able to afford this phone when i finally bought it. it was truly by the grace of God. i didn’t get my first phone until i was 16 and despite what it could look like online 99% of the time when I’m filming im by myself and not with any friends or family. i dont take my position in life or privilege for granted, and it’s unfair for you to assume that i do. With that being said if this is really something you want, you’ll find a way, and i really hope you do. EVERYONE has some sort of privilege, there will always be someone who has it better or worse. i see tons of creators from different parts of the world including “third world countries” using their broken down phones and appliances to create content as best as they can. maybe for right now you won’t have perfect quality videos, but starting at wherever you are at is just as important. if the camera on your phone creates a lot of noise or “grain” in your videos, use it to your advantage & try to film something that is more 80s or 90s inspired so you don’t have to worry about high resolution videos. i also walk to a lot of my locations bc i film a lot of things in nature, i believe that anything can be filmed beautifully. indoors, or outdoors there’s always a story to be told. so you do not need a car or a reliable means of transportation to find “aesthetically pleasing” locations. the purpose of my videos like this is to show people that they can start wherever they are at in their creation journey and essentially making a way out of no way. for people to stop the constant out pour of excuses we give ourselves to not go after our goals. there is ALWAYS going to be a newer camera model, a fancier lens, a better phone, but sometimes we need to stop looking at what we don’t have and see what we can make with what we do have. especially for beginners the content doesn’t have to be perfect, it just needs to exist. and a small step towards towards a long term goal is still a step even if it doesn’t feel like it. i am humble enough to acknowledge that i could have it a lot worse, and i tell God everyday how grateful i am for my position in life. i do understand that you would like to see more creators who give advice from a position that feels relatable to you, and unfortunately, I am not that person. but it is also unfair to judge how me and other creators try to help other people follow their passions given their limitations. with all that being said, im sorry these tips aren’t able to resonate with you and i hope that you find the advice you’re looking for, and are able to create amazing things in the future
thinking abt it now, maybe you could be that representation for someone else someone else in your situation could be waiting for someone like you to pick up the camera and show them how to create quality content with the resources that you also have
You inspire me sm 🥹 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! One question if I may, how do you deal with copyright like where do you get your music? All my videos are copyrighted lol 😭 I make my videos out of pure enjoyment but I don’t wanna risk getting completely deleted..
