This is definitely encouraging me to just film on my own (and film myself) so I can take those shots that I've been wanting to get. But I think my greatest challenge is learning how to move and pose naturally. I've been trying to take portraits of myself (for practice) and almost all of them come out pretty awkward. I can imagine that taking a video would be even more so. LOL!

Wow this really inspired me Megan, Idk if you’ve noticed, but I’ve been a fan of your channel for a very long time, mainly because I’m an aspiring cinematographer myself. However, due to life and other things…. I found myself in a creative slump where I just…. Didn’t want to create anything. Megan your videos are so inspiring and helpful 🙏🏼 Been coming back for days ever since I discovered you here. I just started to upload little clips without watching videos like yours before, now as I see this, I’m so encouraged to film myself more as well. Thank you so much 🥰
I’m always embarrassed at the beginning but once I get in the flow, I overcome filming myself in public. Sometimes locals even give me advice about the place when they see me filming
I recently decided to start film making and you at one of the first people i followed! You truly have a gift in film making and content creating , such a beautiful personality:) Can’t wait to see more of your videos! ❤
amazing thank you so much! im starting to experiment with cinematic shots because all ive ever done is headshots, POV or wide shots. this helps sooo much.
this is the first video that has really helped me to film, honestly, you are a fantastic filmmaker. And yes, the embarrasment sucks! but it is worth it, cus' like you said, nobody cares♥
You are art! The best video that can possibly be suggested for me, TH-cam. Thank you! Hahaha! I needed to watch this because I recently moved to another country and another city, I'm feeling alone here and I want to start recording some vlogs but I want beautiful vlogs that are good to see, like this video.
"Ooooh but the embarrassment" - YES, I WANT TO OVERCOME IT SO BADLY! 🙈 It's just like you said, nobody cares :) I think I'm slowwwwly getting better at it since I started filming myself alone. I slowly started to change environments and to film when I'm around my friends and family to capture moments, which has been helping me too :) I rarely see people filming themselves, but every time I see it, I think: "that's so cool!" ✨ I like to think that, at some point, I'll be able to encourage people with the same "embarrassing dreams" by filming myself in public and sharing some thoughts and experiences on the internet, just like you encouraged me with your video. 💕
found ur reel in ig, and AAHH it was a perfect timing because I'm really planning on starting to take videos (just for fun) and this really encouraged me more to start it. thank you!💗
I need to learn videography from you. Honestly the way world going on with white aesthetic I have found a retro gem. I really love your color grading please teach me so that I can apply it on my vintage style vlogs
Appreciate you touching on the embarrassment part of it, not just the technical side of filming yourself, lol 🫠 I hold the same POV as you mentioned though-no one is thinking about you beyond that (very brief) moment in time, and even if they happen to think about you after the fact and judge or make fun, the chances of you ever seeing them again are 0.00000000000000001%... at best :)
Wow this was so good! I've been struggling to find new ways to make videos. Lately I've been experimenting more with story telling but I'm not clear yet on what I want to do... This helps me out a lot as I want to start to experiment with IRL stuff and making my own footage as well. Good stuff and thank you for sharing!
Thanks for this. I have been filming myself outdoors a lot lately and I really dont care what others think about me or how they look at me. At the end of the day getting a good shot for my content is far more valuable than regretting it later :)
Great video. Not only does nobody care, but it doesn't matter if they did. We only have one life. We should just live it and not worry too much about what other people think.
And you never know what your video's gonna do for someone. Someone will want to film, someone will want to go out on the street. And someone like me, sitting in the walls of his house for a year, clogged with problems and psychological traumas, and does not understand what to do next in life. And suddenly he finds a video that “everyone can shoot such beauty”. And everyone can do it so beautifully. Not depending on anyone. Not on anyone's opinion, not on anyone else's desire. But for themselves. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the kind words and honest comment ❤️ it’s easy to get caught up in other thoughts and everyday lives but you can do it stay strong ✨

this is the first video that has really helped me to film, honestly, you are a fantastic filmmaker. And yes, the embarrasment sucks! but it is worth it, cus' like you said, nobody cares♥
Thank you so so much ❤️❤️😊😊
You are art! The best video that can possibly be suggested for me, TH-cam. Thank you! Hahaha! I needed to watch this because I recently moved to another country and another city, I'm feeling alone here and I want to start recording some vlogs but I want beautiful vlogs that are good to see, like this video.
Thank you so much ! I wish u all the best ❤️
A vibe 🔥
THANK UUU
This is such a good video MEGAN!!! I’m trying to stop caring when filming alone 😅 it’s a journey for sure❤

Thanks so much 😊🥺🥺🥺🥺
"Ooooh but the embarrassment" - YES, I WANT TO OVERCOME IT SO BADLY! 🙈 It's just like you said, nobody cares :)
I think I'm slowwwwly getting better at it since I started filming myself alone. I slowly started to change environments and to film when I'm around my friends and family to capture moments, which has been helping me too :)
I rarely see people filming themselves, but every time I see it, I think: "that's so cool!" ✨ I like to think that, at some point, I'll be able to encourage people with the same "embarrassing dreams" by filming myself in public and sharing some thoughts and experiences on the internet, just like you encouraged me with your video. 💕
you can do it trust me! it just takes some getting used to for sure
I love love love your vibe so much
THANKKKYOUUU
Thank you Megan... great for me at the training wheels stage i'm at!

ahhhh!!! awesome !! so glad u could resonate with this
very usefule info! thank you so much for sharing them. loving the vibes of your videos!
Glad you like them!
This is great! Gorgeous shots
Thank you so much!!! 😊😊
True. Nobody actually cares because nobody will remember me filming in public.
Hahaha yes exactly that’s what I think too
I need to learn videography from you. Honestly the way world going on with white aesthetic I have found a retro gem. I really love your color grading please teach me so that I can apply it on my vintage style vlogs
Ahhhhh thank you !!! There’s a tutorial on my Channel ❤️❤️
Thank u so much for the tips and sites for inspiration. Needed this video so much. Cheers!
Glad it was helpful!
Appreciate you touching on the embarrassment part of it, not just the technical side of filming yourself, lol 🫠 I hold the same POV as you mentioned though-no one is thinking about you beyond that (very brief) moment in time, and even if they happen to think about you after the fact and judge or make fun, the chances of you ever seeing them again are 0.00000000000000001%... at best :)
Love the video. Love how you explain every detail. I learned a lot. Keep up 😉
Thank you! Will do!
You’re a blessing. Your grading is impeccable ❤
Thank you so much!
love the color grading ❤
THANKU!!!

Thank you so much 🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️
I'm not embarrassed to film in public, I'm scared of someone swiping my phone 😂
HAHHAA same I always try to get someone to try to watch out
So loving your work! I started giving time in cinematography and this video really helped!
So great to hear omg !! Thank u so Much ❤️❤️😫

Thank u☺️☺️☺️
Wow this was so good! I've been struggling to find new ways to make videos. Lately I've been experimenting more with story telling but I'm not clear yet on what I want to do... This helps me out a lot as I want to start to experiment with IRL stuff and making my own footage as well. Good stuff and thank you for sharing!
So glad to hear that this could help !!! Thanks for stopping by ❤️❤️
You have no idea how this is important to me especially filing even in the embarrassment 😅 tysm ❤
I'm so glad! U can do it !
I really like the aesthetic of your videos!
TQ!!!
Thanks for this. I have been filming myself outdoors a lot lately and I really dont care what others think about me or how they look at me.
At the end of the day getting a good shot for my content is far more valuable than regretting it later :)
Hahaha awesome !!! Love the mindset
Great video. Not only does nobody care, but it doesn't matter if they did. We only have one life. We should just live it and not worry too much about what other people think.
Exactly !! Preach :)
I love this so much. I’ve been looking for inspiration and you’re definitely it !
So so so happy. ! ❤️❤️☺️

Thank you for creating this video! I'm just getting started on my youtube journey and this was really helpful and inspiring 🙂
You got this! Thanks so much for commenting ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you.
Thank you so much for the kind words and honest comment ❤️ it’s easy to get caught up in other thoughts and everyday lives but you can do it stay strong ✨
thank you! this was a super helpful video 🥰
