I'm binging on Harley videos this weekend lol. You're an amazing teacher and your enthusiasm is infectious!
I'm sure I'll come across the answer somewhere, but does he discus humic vs fulvic acids? Differences, similarities, can fulvic be used instead? Should it be used in conjunction?
Just trying to figure out what each does.

Hi.. when reading the description say on Amazon of your products is mentions some are for hydro and some for top dressing.. am I right in saying they can be used in a compost mix and top dressed as I'm not delving into hydro just yet. Thanks.

'Top-dressing,' to my knowledge, typically refers to applying a dry amendment or fertilizer to the top of the soil so it can be slowly absorbed over time as it is watered in over the course of days. RAW fertilizers, specifically the macro and intermediate salts (N,P,K,Ca,Mg) are designed to be dosed into solution and watered directly into the medium. As these salts are completely soluble, they are immediately available to the plant, do not need to be broken down (as organics do) - and should NOT be 'top-dressed,' as it would be difficult to control the rate at which the salts are dissolving - and you'd likely either run into a deficiency or toxicity. By mixing solutions to top-feed (not top-dress), one can 'spoon-feed' plants exactly the amounts of each element they require at any given point in their life cycle, and this is what we and Harley recommend.

Always my first ingredient for my RO water. I’m about to start a grow from seed and clone on my channel! I love the products and want to make sure no Cane Molasses, Omina/Tech Amino or the microbes for a coco grow. I know that’s for Grodan but is coco the same or am I missing?

    • @dertythegrower

Grodan is rockwool and Coco is from coconut coir. Make sure if you use coco, that you add a little bit extra calcium/magnesium (aka calmag) as that is needed more with coco coir if you use it as your soil replacement. And microbes help and still work even with coco and/or rockwool cubes methods.

in coco, you can use either the ominA or Amino Acids. The new Amino Acids dissolves super clean, crystal clear for hydro/ recirculating users. Like derty QWERTY says, calcium and aminos should be used in coco.
