Gorgeous game that really made you think. Both about the puzzles and to how to actually finish it.. And about morality and what is considered good or evil and how different civilizations see those things.
wow I got endings 2 and then 3, and came to look up 4. that's...more crazy than I thought. as I was telling gelarius to go and gather the townfolk I definitely thought that could be 4. but nope I was missing a huge chunk. thanks for the video, lots of others were 40+ minutes and I did not want one that long
@@C0wb0yBebop it's about Zagreus , the son of Hades ,trying to break out of the underworld against his father's order . The story and lore is amazing . ( You can play it for free on xbox or pc if you have a gamepass subscription )
BIG SPOILERS AHEAD (yes I know the video spoils the endings) one thing that I found kinda by accident that almost all the recaps leave out is that there are different conversations in the museum endings depending on who you talk to, and whether you save everyone (or anyone). When I first ended the game, I started from a loop and walked to the temple without talking to Galerius. I didn't realize that I was dooming all the citizens that usually survive after completing their quests or having Galerius complete them. But (I think) every character in the museum will know whether you talked to them before beating Pluto, and they''ll even have different dialog depending on whether you saved them yourself or Galerius did. And they'll inform you of all the citizens that didn't make it because you ducked out early. Really crazy how much work went into putting this gem together. I think it's gonna go down as one of my favorite games of all time. I'm looking forward to starting a new save sometime later and seeing how it goes!
I thought this is one of the best games I’ve ever played. However the four icons of the people in the underworld, I had all found except the woman with a sieve thank you for pointing it out, I knew I was missing one.👍 however when I finally got to hades, and saw all the alien and shiny surfaces I started to think😒 oh God they had to put aliens in it didn’t they, however the way they described it made a lot of sense and in fact it was a very elegant and good way of doing it.
I was a little unsure about the aliens too, personally I think I would have preferred it if they did just leave it as Hades and Proserpina actually being gods but the alien reveal was a decent surprise twist.
@@EvenBadWolvesGaming True and the way they described it wasn’t as bad as some so-called ancient aliens. They probably needn’t of bothered with the aliens but still as you said it was a very good twist.
imo it's probably to make it makes sense considering the story is pretty much 1:1 to the Skyrim mod this game based on. However, in the original mod they have the Elders Scrolls lore and the entire Skyrim game to build the world for the story, as for this game they need to pretty much build it from scratch
@@wolftal1178 I recommend you to check out the Skyrim mod gameplay if you're interested to see the difference. While the main plot point is almost 1:1, the standalone game have a better overall writing and character than the Skyrim mod, on the other hand the skyrim mod in my opinion is a bit better for the backstory of what happened before the event occurred.
Just finished this game. SPOILER BELOW. At the end when you confront the Nergal and show him Proserpinas crown, he states when he returns for Elysium, neither humans nor Proserpina will ever visit there… I find this humorous because he doesn’t know that humans of the future have traveled into space… not that humans will ever find Elysium, but once humans achieve interstellar travel they will have the capabilities of discovering and inhabiting other planets. Just like the “gods” did. This makes Fergal a HYPOCRITE because there was a time when his species were once “primitive”. so one day… maybe one day far in the future from the present time, humans might stumble across Elysium. Let’s see what the gods say then.
Game was okay. Rather overhyped in the writing, but it's a herculean a task in itself to keep track of it all. Still, I wish they did better with certain critical parts. Overall decent and certainly far better than anything modern today from the mainstream industry. I haven't played the mod, but I'm more interested in that than this game now that I've played it.
