    There has been several questions about changing motor direction. Here are the steps you can follow to make sense of it. I hope this helps. Thank everyone for the support and I hope you enjoy the way your hawk flies.
    Step 1. Change motor direction in BlHeli. You can do this by changing the tab that says normal or reversed under each ESC in BlHeli. (if you want to change motor direction, just change it to the opposite of what it is.) This will reverse the motor direction.
    2. Change the motor direction tab in the configuration page of Betaflight. (this tells betaflight that you have your motors spining backwards so it lets the fc know)
    3. Change prop direction. (since you have changed the way the motors spin, you also need to change the way that the props spin to create thrust.)

      i got it, but in blheli will be all reverse?
      i set on betaflight (reverse)
      after that: i flash the blheli-M and put all reverse, 1,2,3 and 4? am i right?

      @@HerbertFPVBrasil No, factory setup for TH2 is 1: reversed, 2: normal, 3: normal, 4: reversed. So it should be: 1: normal, 2: reversed, 3: reversed, 4: normal.

      Stock FW on mine is ESC 1: S-H-90, 16.7. How do I get from 16.7 to 16.77 so I can get the higher rates? Do I go straight to installing 16.77 or does it require incremental updates?
      EDIT: Nevermind, I just went straight to 16.77 and it worked fine. Thanks

    I Just flashed the Jazzmavric 48k firmware version to my TH2..
    The difference is absolutely incredible!
    Longer flight times and quad feels so much more locked in..
    I was racing around my little flat, so much faster than I have ever flown this thing!
    Thankyou for this video 🙂

    I made all your changes except reversing motor direction (b/c changing the Tiny Hawk 2's props is a real pita for me) just to see what would happen. I love how it flys with your suggested rates! Now when I switch back to my previous best rates, they feel sluggish and heavy. Thanks for the great info and video!

    You made my day (and my week)!!! Thank you so much for sharing this.
    My TH2 flies a lot better now, more accurate, more responsive, and also longer flight times!
    Some say that RPM filtering isn't necessary for tiny whoops, but that seems to be wrong!
    Now there is something else..., I tried to do the same thing on my Rekon 3 nano long range quad, but there it turned out completely different :-(
    The Rekon3 has a Zeus5 AIO board (not Matek) with betaflight 4.2 and probably different ESC's, but with the same firmware (the same version) as on my Matek board on theTH2.
    After updating the firmware and activating the bidirectional Dshot 300, the board becomes very hot after a few minutes flying. So hot that I'm afraid to go on with it, so I went back to normal DShot600 without the RPM filtering... Do I miss something here? Do I need to change other settings too?
    I know that Matek boards are always high quality and probably use better HQ components, but is that the only possible explanation?

    I would highly recommend changing over to BT 2.0, not for longer flight time but better power delivery to your motors and less battery sag. Remember the improvement when they direct soldered the motors?

    @BlueLine%20FPV Great Video!.. I wanted to try your setup on my TH2 except I'm running the JESC48KHz fw. When I went to reverse the motors in "jesc config" I was confused why only one esc is reveresed, is that normal?
    So change the 3 to reversed and the 1 to normal?.. Then just swap the props and reverse in bf, correct?... Thanks in advance for your advice!

    • @bluelinefpv559
      @bluelinefpv559  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment brother. If you are needing to reverse a motor, go into the software and change it from what the current setting is to the other. So if it says reversed change it to normal amd vise versa. Do it for each motor and then change the props to the correct direction to reflect reversed props. 😁 I hope that helps. Let me know if you need anything else. 👍👍

    Why are did you enable bi-direction DSHOT? What does that do? and why DSHOT 300 vs 600? Why did you change the Gyro and PID settings at 4khz vs the stock setting of 8 and 4 respectively?

    • @bluelinefpv559
      @bluelinefpv559  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bi directional d shot is RPM filtering. You have to lower the D shot command to 300 for it to work correctly. Dshot 600 is a little too much for the processor to handle. Also its needed to change the pid loop to 4k to make it less processor intensive.

    I've been in the quad game for quite some time, but infrequently (work, family, etc.). I used your PIDs and rates and the quad would yaw quickly then disarm as soon as I armed it. I reloaded the old betaflight profile but kept the new ESC flash with the reversed motor direction and it was money! If anyone else had this issue and fixed it let me know. I still want to improve my TH II further.

    • @bluelinefpv559
      @bluelinefpv559  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they quad yawed then disarmed, it was prolly a runaway. That being said, the most common things to do to fix that are these things:
      1.Check and see if your motors are spinning correctly
      2. Make sure, in the configuration tab, that your motor direction is set to reversed.
      3. Make sure your props on all on correctly.

    • @bluelinefpv559

      2.Turn off the bidirectional d shot tab in the configuration page. Attempt to spin the motors.
      (If the motors spin after doing this, the ESC firmware that was loaded is most likley incorrect) if the motors spin make sure that you change the settings in the filters tab back to the original if you plan to fly with out bidirectional d shot enabled (RPM filter)

      Did you install the correct ESC firmware? If you are following the steps in the video it should work. Try turning off bidirectional d shot in the configuration tab and seeing if the motors will spin. If they do then the wrong esc firmware is installed. If this works you must change the filters back to normal if you plan on flying it with out using bidirectional d shot (rpm filtering) good luck😁 let me know if your still having issues

      @@dmnchild Iam glad that worked brother! As for reversing the motor direction there are three things that you need to do.
