Just ordered a new set of G410 irons 4-P and a G410 driver with 9degrees, all fitted. A new PING 210 hoofer stand bag red and black. All matching colours . I had a set out Titleist T300 irons and a PING G400 max driver in a TaylorMade golf bag stolen from my car boot 2 days ago. Insurance won’t cover it because it wasn’t in my home. ARSEHOLES. I tried the T400 Titleist but they were too forging sales person said. I’ve watched this video ages ago and I just watched it again and your positive comments made me happy to go for the full set of G410. Just over $2000 Australian dollars. Bag irons driver not bad. Love your work RICK. Golf here in Melbourne Australia is going nuts, it’s packed everywhere you go.
Rick, I have just been fitted for these, they were by far the best of the current irons for me, I increased my club head speed and yardage with these, so easy to hit on the fitting I put all the balls within 7 foot of the centre on all strikes can’t wait to get them and play with these.
Another solid review I must say I really liked the g400 last year but when I reviewed the g410 last week I thought it was really nice quick off of the face like a lot of the new clubs that are coming out. I did like the sound of the 410 as well but as you say personal preference.
Hi Rick. I used to play with Ping G max. Irons which were great and easy to hit. I bought a set of the 410 irons and they are great. Handicap has been cut already.

I was hesitant to try these irons because of the comments here and elsewhere about the sound. As it turned out, I actually liked the sound and feel compared with that of my G15 irons. I went ahead and got fitted before purchasing and have had the clubs about a week now. As a high handicapper I need to work on my consistency but when I make a good swing with these irons I am blown away by the height and distance I am seeing. I really enjoy hitting these irons and feel that my game is going to go to another level with them.
i've been using my grandpa's Ping Eye 2's and I've been looking into getting the G410 since I found a full set on Facebook marketplace in good condition for $350. 4 years later, do you still use these clubs and how did you like them?
I greatly enjoy the Rick Siels Golf reviews. I switched from an Adams forged club to the Ping G400. I went with whatever new club technology worked for me in the simulator. Every 3-4 months, I would hit 4 or 5 clubs along with my Adams 7 iron. I kept coming back to Ping G series. They are so easy to hit but I would recommend the 410 woods and driver over the 400 series. I find they pack a little more distance.
I notice you like the softer sounding and feeling clubs a lot more over the aggressive sounding clubs. Personally, I dont mind a club with a louder aggressive style as long as it performs great. Need to keep an eye for them. Worth the upgrade from M4 irons though?..
A good review Rick, im not a great Ping iron fan, like their woods more. A little request here in the cold winther time, i know you use Garmin products, is there any chance for a review on the new approach G80. I have long wanted red and black for my ping Irons. I've had them (in different iterations) for since I started playing golf. Loved, just loved the looks. I have the Ping G400. Got them after one of Rick's reviews. I agree with him. I tried the G410. Just couldn't get past the sound and feel. Love my G400's. Will take something to get me out of em. Rick, playing G400. Lowered my handicap from 18 to 8 in a year, what would be the next step up in ping iron family? Just tried the Hogan PTX and they feel good would just need lofts to match the 400’s. Cheers Paul.
Great review Rick as usual. Agree with most things outlined, such as sound and feel, do need getting used to. However, upgrading from Ping G30 irons and being fitted with new PING G410 irons with Nippon Modus 105 Stiff shafts and WOW !!!! These clubs are an excellent fit for me, playing off 15....
Great video, Rick! What you talk about around 8:07 - the chip with the hot face and lower lofts - is definitely true. I play Callaway Apex 19s and I had to go to 9-iron for these shots because with 7 and 8 the ball comes out so hot off the center. I even try to strike them a bit towards the toe to have control over distance and trajectory. A long bump-and-run - say 30 or 40 yards - is even trickier. But you play with them a while and adjust pretty quickly.
Acoustics, and the visual impact a club brings are all personal preference. I love that dull nothing sound when I hit my MBs and yet I have mates who absolutely love that crack they get when hitting their irons.
Great review very honest, for me if performance is close then why spend £400 more for a "better looking club" ? Because the G 400 will come down in price. Where and when by the way did you test them on course? Looked very nice

Good review rick. These irons look pretty good with those minimal offset. Only thing I don't like with ping is why do they put that notch from the hosel. Isn't that part of the iron under high pressure at impact. Have anyone played ping irons that bended out of angles over time?
Went for an iron fitting and the G400 was better all the way round. M3 second then G410. Keep all the insight coming. Great to have some honest accurate feedback!
I gave them and my own personal review is they are amazing! I like the sound. the sound's great feed back for your ears you really know when you struck just right.

I understand why you like a certain ball for playing a round, but don’t you think that the differences in the balls might give you different on course results, i.e. spin or launch angles? A year after this video the g410 is still going strong. I loved your review. I'm 55 years old and have an 18 HC and will be looking into buying these or the g710. Which shaft do you recommend for the highest flight / launch ? Also would you go 410, 710 or 400?
Another excellent review. Seems PING is on to something with their design work. When you reviewed the G700, you also got low spin numbers indoors, which was alarming, but when you took them out onto the course, they certainly had stopping power on the green, and you almost backed up one approach off the front. An important point you make is the "hot" face on short game shots. I thought it was just me when I found that chip and bump shots with the G700 seem to rocket off the face, and even after a year I still have problems.
I went for a fitting and tried a few different irons, these for me were the ones I enjoyed hitting the most, and gained distance over my current Wilson clubs. My return to golf after not playing for 7 years requires this type of club, looking forward to getting out on the course and hitting them

Mp-18sc & blades combo, 718 cb's, spoiled. Cg on MP-18 blades too close to hosel. Toe up & address towards heel necessary. I know you toe up on irons, do you think you can change your address to square with game improvement irons like these with the cg moved toward the center of the face?

Hey, so I just noticed that your 7 iron has a launch angle of ~18°. I am pointing that out because my 8° driver has a launch angle of 14.5°. I carry the ball ~290-300 as is, should I be concerned? If so, what is something I could try to lower the launch angle?

I play jpx900 hot metal. I'm looking at upgrading and have identified the these a potential club. I'd really like to see the f9 speedback in a review also.
Got fitted into these mid-August whilst upgrading from my 33 y/o TA 845s Silver Scot. I'm having a lot of difficult adjust though, as I just can't seem to hit them flush. A lot of off-center hits out towards the toe. They're forgiving, so the shots still go straight, but losing a bit of distance. Going back to the fitter this week to double-check everything and make sure we got it right, but so far it's been disappointing.
I think that a lot of the guys playing these irons may be playing a softer ball like maybe the Callaway Supersoft or Bridgestone E6 Soft. I wander if that will make the sound & feel more pleasing?
I just bought this set and noticed after that a ping g410 wedge (pitching wedge) is very similar to the utility wedge. I don’t really like my 56 degree that I have right now. Do I keep both ping wedges or sell to get a 56 or 58 degree?
After starting to play again me and my dad have been today for a fitting and these are what I’ve gone for..my first ever brand new set of irons..I’ve always had my dads hand me downs but I’m glad I’ve been for a fitting because I’m tall I was bending over with the standard TM irons I’ve been using

i got the 400 last year. i have trouble getting consistent spin on the greens as in...sometimes none at all with mid-irons. and you are right. can't play that low bump and run pitch with control. i don't see anything here that makes me want to go upgrade to 410
I just got a set of G410 irons. They don't sound great, but they are very forgiving. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of how they look, not a fan of the back catch, but they work for me so yeah.
Would it be worth me finally trading in my TM M2s (2017) for some G400s? I only been able to test them in shop and not outdoors but I cant really tell unless I'm outdoors. Is it worth the upgrade in your honest opinion?

Clay Long designed irons for Nicklaus Golf with extreme heel toe weighting 9-10 years ago. The Polarity HP and Polarity HCT. Still have my HCT's. Great hitting irons.
Good review. Bit harsh on the bump and run aspect because you’re not using the number of the club. You are using the loft so to get the height you would use an 8 iron...

Great review for relief. Just got fitted for a full set of G410 irons right before the lockdown here in NZ. Must say the forgiveness for my game is paramount and will greatly improve the game, that is when I can get out next. Only got to put a down payment on them as the price here with a discount is $1700.00. So am really hanging out to get a hold of them. Absolutely love the feel of the strike with them, but for now will have to settle with hitting the Brosnan Zodiac 2’s around the back yard.

Been looking into fairway woods, hybrids, or driving irons. I personally prefer driving irons but I saw you weren’t a big fan of the G400 Crossover irons. Now they have the G410 Crossover irons. I am curious if you will be able to do a review on the improvements from the G400 to the G410. Also, maybe comparing or reviewing the fairway woods and hybrids as well. Always appreciate your reviews! Curious why the change in format? I will say that I much prefer the additional detail you usually present off of GC Quad, at least the formatting that shows ball flight characteristics at the front and center, and not in small boxes to the side. And while I am not sure you do this only for drivers, I do like to see how a particular club sits in terms of your average norms. It gives us a better sense of relative comparison to market.
Think the G410 looks loud, never mind sounding loud. Did have the ping G but felt they popped the ball off the face, hence changed to Mizuno forged. The ping G was a lot longer though.
Hope they are as good. I have just bought a set of 410’s custom fitted should be ready for next week. Enjoyed your video never hit a 410 so can’t compare. But then I’m not in your class of player Rick.
helped my friend buy his first set - had the same conclusion. g400 felt and sounded softer and more forgiving. He actually thought he was hitting shots slightly thin with the g410 because the sound of the g410 was so much harsher

Got custom fitted for new irons last week. The G410 performed the best for me while being compared to mavrik, cobra sz, tm sim, titleist t300 irons.
I have these been playing 10 weeks and went all out for a decent set and love them feel brilliant and paid £800 👍🏼

I play jpx900 hot metal. I'm looking at upgrading and have identified the these a potential club. I'd really like to see the f9 speedback in a review also.

Got fitted into these mid-August whilst upgrading from my 33 y/o TA 845s Silver Scot. I'm having a lot of difficult adjust though, as I just can't seem to hit them flush. A lot of off-center hits out towards the toe. They're forgiving, so the shots still go straight, but losing a bit of distance. Going back to the fitter this week to double-check everything and make sure we got it right, but so far it's been disappointing.
Torn between these and the Taylormade M1's from 2017. Any thoughts on how they compare?
I think that a lot of the guys playing these irons may be playing a softer ball like maybe the Callaway Supersoft or Bridgestone E6 Soft. I wander if that will make the sound & feel more pleasing?
I just bought this set and noticed after that a ping g410 wedge (pitching wedge) is very similar to the utility wedge. I don’t really like my 56 degree that I have right now. Do I keep both ping wedges or sell to get a 56 or 58 degree?

After starting to play again me and my dad have been today for a fitting and these are what I’ve gone for..my first ever brand new set of irons..I’ve always had my dads hand me downs but I’m glad I’ve been for a fitting because I’m tall I was bending over with the standard TM irons I’ve been using
How do they compare with g700?
Just bought these on closeout in 2022, can't wait for them to arrive and give them a try! Currently using the Taylormade RAS OS from eons ago (haven't bought clubs since high school 👀)

i got the 400 last year. i have trouble getting consistent spin on the greens as in...sometimes none at all with mid-irons. and you are right. can't play that low bump and run pitch with control. i don't see anything here that makes me want to go upgrade to 410

I got fitted and rested on ping g410 irons. I also got the 4 hybrid for g410. Haven’t arrived yet but can’t wait to put them in the bag!👀
Sound the same to me both 400 and 410, both loud though, time to get Rob to test them?
I just got a set of G410 irons. They don't sound great, but they are very forgiving. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of how they look, not a fan of the back catch, but they work for me so yeah.
EyeOnTime I agree, just picked up a set with +.5” of length (blue dots). I love how forgiving they are but they aren’t the prettiest irons.
Would it be worth me finally trading in my TM M2s (2017) for some G400s? I only been able to test them in shop and not outdoors but I cant really tell unless I'm outdoors. Is it worth the upgrade in your honest opinion?

Great review as always, Rick. I tested these yesterday at the shop and actually thought the sound was great. Then again, I like that crack when hitting an iron. Like you said, it’s personal preference
Clay Long designed irons for Nicklaus Golf with extreme heel toe weighting 9-10 years ago. The Polarity HP and Polarity HCT. Still have my HCT's. Great hitting irons.
What type of shaft were you using??

Good review. Bit harsh on the bump and run aspect because you’re not using the number of the club. You are using the loft so to get the height you would use an 8 iron...
Rick, I’m a seven handicap 60 yr old player and looking to upgrade my i25 irons that have regular shafts. Tried some M2’s didn’t like. Now looking at Taylor made 790 or Ping 400........help!

Great review for relief. Just got fitted for a full set of G410 irons right before the lockdown here in NZ. Must say the forgiveness for my game is paramount and will greatly improve the game, that is when I can get out next. Only got to put a down payment on them as the price here with a discount is $1700.00. So am really hanging out to get a hold of them. Absolutely love the feel of the strike with them, but for now will have to settle with hitting the Brosnan Zodiac 2’s around the back yard.
Hello Rick, huge fan of your content. Watch every video that you come out with. I am a very brand loyal type person. Just purchased some G400 irons for this next year. Been looking into fairway woods, hybrids, or driving irons. I personally prefer driving irons but I saw you weren’t a big fan of the G400 Crossover irons. Now they have the G410 Crossover irons. I am curious if you will be able to do a review on the improvements from the G400 to the G410. Also, maybe comparing or reviewing the fairway woods and hybrids as well. As stated before, Love your content. Keep up the great work!
Always appreciate your reviews! Curious why the change in format? I will say that I much prefer the additional detail you usually present off of GC Quad, at least the formatting that shows ball flight characteristics at the front and center, and not in small boxes to the side. And while I am not sure you do this only for drivers, I do like to see how a particular club sits in terms of your average norms. It gives us a better sense of relative comparison to market.
Think the G410 looks loud, never mind sounding loud. Did have the ping G but felt they popped the ball off the face, hence changed to Mizuno forged. The ping G was a lot longer though.
Hope they are as good. I have just bought a set of 410’s custom fitted should be ready for next week. Enjoyed your video never hit a 410 so can’t compare. But then I’m not in your class of player Rick.

Awesome review mate. I'm playing the G400 irons for a year now and I love the feel/sound when I make good contact. I'll be keeping my 400's then.
Its stupid to change clubs the very next model almost everytime. G400s will be great in my bag for another few years
What is the difference to blue and red dot ?
helped my friend buy his first set - had the same conclusion. g400 felt and sounded softer and more forgiving. He actually thought he was hitting shots slightly thin with the g410 because the sound of the g410 was so much harsher
