I hope one day blizzard can listen to the community and fix the shop Make the legendary skins like at least 5- 10 dollars each and add the coins into the battle pass and then boom the game will be better
The item shop in Super Animal Royale is pretty good, there's a dedicated section for Pay-For currency and a section for currency you get just playing the game
Something my friend told me about fortnite is that you only need to buy the battle pass once (it's 950 vbucks) And you earn 1,500 vbucks total which means you can buy the next battle pass and still have 650 vbucks left over and if you repeat that multiple times you can basically get any skin you want
While Fortnite did their item shop and battlepass pretty well, I think the downside comes in how they negatively influenced other games and companies. Tons of games have battle passes nowadays and almost all of them want you to grind to get anything cool. Often times this progress is only over a limited time so you find yourself just barely missing things you wanted, or you might not get close at all if you don't play very often. I enjoy playing games because I play them when I want to, not because the game makes you grind for it

Just to add in regards to TF2's crates, you can trade 10 locked crates for 1 scrap. It's worth almost nothing but it's still worth making a space in your inventory.
I remember reading in a reddit post that selling products in a bundle but not offering said products to be bought individually is illegal in some countries, and since the kiriko skin can only be bought through the 2600 credit bundle, Blizzard is straight up commiting a crime. (Additionally, how tf can a bundle be "29%" off if the items were released like a week ago and we have no clue how much each item costs?)
Deep Rock Galactic also has the greatest monetization system of all the games in the world. The battle pass is completely free and there are cosmetic bundles, just like in dont starve, if you want to support the amazing dwarvelopers behind this gem. Oh, and ALL the cosmetics from previous season are included in the random item drops that you get during missions, so even if you didn't finish the battle pass, you can still get the items you wanted.
i agree with the dst bit and the best part about the skins are they are mostly (but a few) free and you get a daily gift and more if you just play the game but the best part is if you dont like a skin you can spool it and get spools which then you can make into other skins which is the best part just playing the game can get you best skins.

For $15 I could buy Hollow knight, a game I’ve players and loved 300 hours of, but add $11 to that price tag and instead I can get I get a skin for one character in overwatch 2.
One other game that I think does a really good job is Fall Guys. A lot of people say that it is worse now but for a F2P frame it does a good job, it's essentially Fortnite's pass, but the battle passes have many more skins that, compared to recent Fortnite seasons imo, have much more appeal. In the item shop, at most expensive for a single skin it will cost 1200, the price of a rare Fortnite skin. You still get 1500 from the battle pass as well as plentiful and likeable skins, I currently have 2 full battle passes, an 800 skin, a 10 buck 3 skin bundle with show-bucks, and 2250 show-bucks as well as the seasonal 2 completely free skins. for 20 bucks, the price of the OG game, and I only see myself spending maybe another 30.
Blizzard's greed is getting so damn bad. I hope this acts at least as a humbling action to whoever decides the price to these. Sadly, considering how disconnected the people and the corporations have in this day in spite of the connectivity we have be in modern day it probably won't happen.
Rec Room does monetisation the best imo. Around 4/5 of all the items of clothing, accessories, etc are obtainable FOR FREE. Basically, in Rec Room you play the original content the Devs have made (Known as Rec Room Originals) and, for example, after a round of paintball, you get three options to choose from for your reward, these includes clothing items, tokens and other stuff like food). It's only the 5 Star Items that will usually require you to fork out a few bucks to get more tokens for, however you can still make a pretty decent outfit for your avatar without spending a dime (can't say the same about Shitblox [Roblox] though). What's more is that there a token bundles, so when you want to buy a regular amount of tokens, you could instead buy a bundle, which is basically the exact same amount of tokens for the same price but you get little goodies added in like exclusive items and what not.
That "Bundle" tactic is a pretty common thing among games. In order to gouge out as much money as possible, they add a bunch of crap to artificially increase the price and prevent you from buying them on their own. Also I think that "discount" in OW2 is actually breaking the law. Those items were released with the discount on top, which is suppose to create the FOMO effect, encouraging people to buy it immediately. In Europe, Australia and Canada that thing is straight out illegal.
if you bought the founder's pack for save the world you just have infinite v bucks because of daily quests, but you can't buy founders pack anymore so you'll only get these ticket things
Recommend you talk about brawlstars, it's a goofy ah battle pass fighting game with a baby fanbase but recently they murdered their loot box system and replaced it with something better for free players. The lootboxes weren't terrible before but I still respect the hell out of supercell for that decision.
I can’t understand why someone would buy one skin for more than 15 bucks at most. Honestly, Fortnite has quality skins, and they look actually visibly pleasing. They have actual stuff worth of it
like, i agree on all, and i love don't starve, but dst skins are 20 times easier to make than 3d models with custom animations, so even thought i would say that dst shop is better it's not really comparable. oh and league of legends shop is crazy as well btw, they have a deal with amazon witch gives you 3,5$ per month of in game currency, also you get 1 free skin per week, and with events (monthly) you get 2 more skins and if you don't like what you got you can trow 3 skins to reroll into a new one, tbh compared to overwatch or even fortnite you can get hundreds of skins without spending money.
I agree, seeing those prices on overwatch skins makes me sad, but you can't compare it to don't starve, as in my opinion it's easier to produce. Fortnite still does an amazing job and so does tf2. But i feel it's a bit unfair to compare it to a 3D game. Anyways love you foekoe you're literally the best youtuber right now

I literally got full loadouts for heavy and pyro for 10 zloty (around 2 dollars) through the steam market
I misses the loot boxes. Cuz at least you could have some little things with each one. And blizzard gave them like it was air.
Bro in Poland we have like to spend our whole fortune while we could buy ourself a new keyboard 💀💀
You can literally buy a whole trunk of harnas in such price
What's more is that there a token bundles, so when you want to buy a regular amount of tokens, you could instead buy a bundle, which is basically the exact same amount of tokens for the same price but you get little goodies added in like exclusive items and what not.
add t posing man to every game
Blizzard could sell a skin that’s exactly the same as the normal one but with 2 pixels changed and people would still buy it for 60 dollars
where is the t-posing guy in the main menu? cuz i don't see him at all
Imagine paying one third of a game for a skin.
I like how it went from fortnite is the worst video game to overwatch 2
Dude sounds like walter JR
TF2 would never, like $26 for a frickin witch skin?! And it's discounted at that
Is this a joke...?
@@ZoofyZoof Nah fam
no they would, and that discount is just inflated
what they do is that the virtually mark up the price, to then mark it down and sell it for “half” the price when really its just the normal price

They have actual stuff worth of it
Meanwhile valorant guns having a 60$ price tag😅😅
like, i agree on all, and i love don't starve, but dst skins are 20 times easier to make than 3d models with custom animations, so even thought i would say that dst shop is better it's not really comparable.
oh and league of legends shop is crazy as well btw, they have a deal with amazon witch gives you 3,5$ per month of in game currency, also you get 1 free skin per week, and with events (monthly) you get 2 more skins and if you don't like what you got you can trow 3 skins to reroll into a new one, tbh compared to overwatch or even fortnite you can get hundreds of skins without spending money.
Sir you just called an A-Pose a T-Pose.
My man, you need to redo kindergarten
I agree, seeing those prices on overwatch skins makes me sad, but you can't compare it to don't starve, as in my opinion it's easier to produce. Fortnite still does an amazing job and so does tf2. But i feel it's a bit unfair to compare it to a 3D game. Anyways love you foekoe you're literally the best youtuber right now
Wait until he sees VALORENT
Super animal royale has a decent shop and every pass is always available, with a discount on the current one.
just a random question: what will happen to overwatch 1 since overwatch 2 got released?
