Neuu played exactly how you should with a cheater. Theres no point in throwing or whatever, you didnt ask for a cheater on your team so if you cant draw then just mess around and have fun and who wins wins.

I heard from someone they're now doing this so it's impossible for hacker vod reviews to be popular giving their accounts less attention via streamers/youtubers because it's not good content to watch people teleporting all over the place and having it a giant eye sore. I think it looks like a spinbot, theyre likely spinning around like 4-5 time a second to scan for a target to shoot and thats why it looks like people are teleporting, they dont have a still image but will still shoot when their fov has an enemy in it, atleast thats how it works in cs
In this case it was obvious but sometimes the enemy says someone's cheating when they're not. Also knowing blizzard and having been banned for saying pee pee poo poo I wouldn't want to risk getting banned for "griefing"

Ok so i think that lagging in the replay is literally the same as hawkeyes ultimate. Its creating after images for the cheater to shoot at so he can still hit you even though you are going mach 5 around 16 corners. Its lagging you back or in place for him to shoot as if you were afk.

7:30 Small technical information about the "lagging" POV of the cheaters, most competitive shooters have this flaw. It's a very big issue when developping a server because you have to decide what really happened when two people shot at eachother and have different latency and it's impossible to be fair and give a fluid gameplay, you either give the first to shoot (taking in account the respective latency) the right and make a "laggy feeling" experience where you shoot an enemy and he doesn't take damage, or you give the first who sent the information the right, making someone with bad connexion less chance of winning games and a big advantage to people with better internet. The solution most game take is to go for the best middle, always giving the one shooting the truth. But when cheating is involved there's some programs that will simulate lag to give longer time to shoot someone. It is most likely that's the case here, their cheat is making their game lag when enemies are visible on the screen to most effectively damage them. Edit: They might also just be lagging.

As a Mercy main who has peaked at Rank 1, I can say that the state of Overwatch is horrendous and that you would think they would up there game now but no... Marvel Rivals is the way forward.
I'm guessing the replay weirdness with the lag might be because whatever cheats they're using creates a large computation overhead, so from the OW client's perspective it's just running on really crappy hardware. Didn't know the replay viewer simulates what the person saw like that though.
It doesn’t thats why it’s so weird! It only records the inputs the server receives. Thats why you usually don’t see anyones end-device pov when they lag or rubberband in a replay or killcam because the game only shows what the server sees. Same goes to killcams, the only incentive u get that might make u assume someone is lagging is how their inputs look cut-off. You usually won’t see what their system is seeing.There is a couple of vods out there of where T500 lobbies got switchlagged by cheaters and in the replays you cant tell that they are lagging in their povs because you don’t see their lags and rubberbands, you only see how they struggle to maneuver and how their inputs are cut-off. Another example of this practice is for example ragdoll physics, for example if someone dies and gets yeeted over the map and a player tries to go for a tbag the chances might be high that the server-side calculated the trajectory differently from the certain users enddevice, so in the replay the body might have landed somewhere else and you in your pov just hump some dry air. I have noticed that quite sometimes, so yeah knowing all of that, the vod leaves me with quite a headscratch, it basically throws any established rules and laws of the replay-system out of the window and makes no utter sense to me.

Its always had this problem. Thing is when everybody left for Marvel Rivals it left just a few players and a lot of cheaters that didnt want to switch over and pay for new cheats and hope they dont get banned in the process. Now its becoming more evident in OW because it no longer has the playerbase to hide the cheaters in.
Lagging in the replay probably bypasses the anticheat. They freeze the enemies on client side so that the packets sent to the server say that they weren't headshotting a moving character, but rather a stationary one.
SO IT WASN'T JUST ME the absolutely INSAAAAANE amount of cheaters I had during Christmas week was absolutely insane and they still aren't all completely gone! Such absolutely insane work it's like every loser asked for cheats this Christmas whether your Console or PC the amount of cheaters that week was INSANE
It wouldn't surprise me if their automated system is tuned to a certain number of unique players reporting the cheater, and Marvel Rivals has consumed such a significant portion of the playerbase that the threshold can no longer be reached.
The replay situation leaves me truly scratching my head. Usually the replay system only shows you what the server receives on input, basically the servers pov and not individual players POV’s at all! Thats why for example if you watch a replay of anyone that is lagging or got switchlagged in a server looks pretty normal besides their inputs themselves lagging around and looking like they got a schizophrenia attack, but no lags themselves will be recorded from the users end-device pov and registered only the received inputs by each player. Not what the user end-device receives. Idk if the same counts for killcams aswell because I noticed while u don’t see anything the User might see on their enddevice (e.g lags or rubberbands) in their representative killcam, that sometimes killcams look abit different to what the pov would look like in the replay pov. I had some games where a killcam threw me off and when i went into the replay it looked way smoother so welp. This entire thing leaves me quiet with a headscratch bcs this entire video just flipped all the logic and laws that we know of how the servers and replays work over its head. I hope someone deepdives into this thematic and analyses it to its core of how this is possible because I honestly got no explanation for it.

My theory: you know when your game laggs and you get banned for flying in a game cause you were to long in the air, the clients missmatched. (mostly in old mc server, I think) They use that in reverse and let the server think the aimbot is "normal" aim, he is just lagging. the "must have been the wind" tactic

If I had to guess, the OW anti-cheat uses some sort of machine vision to help identify cheaters using the replay system. Lagging the replay system would help avoid that.
Unlikely, this would mean anyone with a potato system that has inconsistent and poor frames might be targeted by the system because the replay system actually should only show you what inputs the server receives and not how an individual players enddevice pov would look like. This entire vod makes just no sense of what we know about the replaysystem and servers so far. But maybe you are right we don’t know
7:58 Using backtrack on probably an extreme setting, it messes with the serverping on their side and manipulates it so they can hit more shots, basically hitting after images to hit you. So when you spectate them it shows you what the server is seeing but on their screen it looks just as normal as yours without replay or spectate, they are either banned already or in the process of being banned, backtrack is one of those insanely easily caught cheats due to the extreme ping manipulation.

Honestly, cheaters are so common in OW2, *ESPECIALLY* around the holiday times, that people now just see them as “Free SR” and don’t even throw
It’s the main reason why I’ve given up on Ranked, cuz even down here in the land of Bronze, people are just blatantly Spinbotting and people do not care anymore
As a Mercy main who has peaked at Rank 1, I can say that the state of Overwatch is horrendous and that you would think they would up there game now but no... Marvel Rivals is the way forward.

I'm guessing the replay weirdness with the lag might be because whatever cheats they're using creates a large computation overhead, so from the OW client's perspective it's just running on really crappy hardware. Didn't know the replay viewer simulates what the person saw like that though.
It doesn’t thats why it’s so weird! It only records the inputs the server receives. Thats why you usually don’t see anyones end-device pov when they lag or rubberband in a replay or killcam because the game only shows what the server sees. Same goes to killcams, the only incentive u get that might make u assume someone is lagging is how their inputs look cut-off. You usually won’t see what their system is seeing.There is a couple of vods out there of where T500 lobbies got switchlagged by cheaters and in the replays you cant tell that they are lagging in their povs because you don’t see their lags and rubberbands, you only see how they struggle to maneuver and how their inputs are cut-off. Another example of this practice is for example ragdoll physics, for example if someone dies and gets yeeted over the map and a player tries to go for a tbag the chances might be high that the server-side calculated the trajectory differently from the certain users enddevice, so in the replay the body might have landed somewhere else and you in your pov just hump some dry air. I have noticed that quite sometimes, so yeah knowing all of that, the vod leaves me with quite a headscratch, it basically throws any established rules and laws of the replay-system out of the window and makes no utter sense to me.

Its always had this problem. Thing is when everybody left for Marvel Rivals it left just a few players and a lot of cheaters that didnt want to switch over and pay for new cheats and hope they dont get banned in the process. Now its becoming more evident in OW because it no longer has the playerbase to hide the cheaters in.

Lagging in the replay probably bypasses the anticheat. They freeze the enemies on client side so that the packets sent to the server say that they weren't headshotting a moving character, but rather a stationary one.

SO IT WASN'T JUST ME the absolutely INSAAAAANE amount of cheaters I had during Christmas week was absolutely insane and they still aren't all completely gone! Such absolutely insane work it's like every loser asked for cheats this Christmas whether your Console or PC the amount of cheaters that week was INSANE
It wouldn't surprise me if their automated system is tuned to a certain number of unique players reporting the cheater, and Marvel Rivals has consumed such a significant portion of the playerbase that the threshold can no longer be reached.

The replay situation leaves me truly scratching my head. Usually the replay system only shows you what the server receives on input, basically the servers pov and not individual players POV’s at all! Thats why for example if you watch a replay of anyone that is lagging or got switchlagged in a server looks pretty normal besides their inputs themselves lagging around and looking like they got a schizophrenia attack, but no lags themselves will be recorded from the users end-device pov and registered only the received inputs by each player. Not what the user end-device receives. Idk if the same counts for killcams aswell because I noticed while u don’t see anything the User might see on their enddevice (e.g lags or rubberbands) in their representative killcam, that sometimes killcams look abit different to what the pov would look like in the replay pov. I had some games where a killcam threw me off and when i went into the replay it looked way smoother so welp. This entire thing leaves me quiet with a headscratch bcs this entire video just flipped all the logic and laws that we know of how the servers and replays work over its head. I hope someone deepdives into this thematic and analyses it to its core of how this is possible because I honestly got no explanation for it.

you know when your game laggs and you get banned for flying in a game cause you were to long in the air, the clients missmatched. (mostly in old mc server, I think)
They use that in reverse and let the server think the aimbot is "normal" aim, he is just lagging.

If I had to guess, the OW anti-cheat uses some sort of machine vision to help identify cheaters using the replay system. Lagging the replay system would help avoid that.
Unlikely, this would mean anyone with a potato system that has inconsistent and poor frames might be targeted by the system because the replay system actually should only show you what inputs the server receives and not how an individual players enddevice pov would look like. This entire vod makes just no sense of what we know about the replaysystem and servers so far. But maybe you are right we don’t know

Using backtrack on probably an extreme setting, it messes with the serverping on their side and manipulates it so they can hit more shots, basically hitting after images to hit you. So when you spectate them it shows you what the server is seeing but on their screen it looks just as normal as yours without replay or spectate, they are either banned already or in the process of being banned, backtrack is one of those insanely easily caught cheats due to the extreme ping manipulation.
Always have Rivals to fall back on now, at this point lol
