I believe someone here mentioned it already but the 2.0 Optic ready compact version that came out a couple years ago with the height sights also has an extended slide release so any holsters that were made for that particular model will work with the metal comp. I have a tier1 holster that fits perfectly with the metal comp because of my optics ready 2.0 compact.
when ordering holster for the M&P 2.0, you need to make sure its for the Optic Ready version. The standard 2.0 Slide Release is flattened. The 2.0 Optic Ready, Metal, and CORE all have a bigger Slide Release. Just because holster has optic cut does not mean it is molded for Optic Ready (I found out hard way on couple holsters)
These models have extended slide catches. Some holster manufacturers have updated their molds, some have not and will say that the old holsters will fit.
I have previous version. It looks the same. My slide stop / release stick out just like that. I think it the holster. I have a holster from 4 brothers and don't have that issue. and does not get squeezed like the one you have inside the belt. I would suggest try out different holster other than this one.
@@Raven59the metal and compact will use the same holster. But also I have an old m&p poly 2.0 holster that still holds both my metal and carry comp metal. You just adjust retention a lil and you’re good
All you need if you have a m&p 2.0 is literally stick a hair dryer to it and soften it up put your gun in and reshape takes minutes and you literally cannot mess it up unless you just hold the hair dryer I. One spot too long
@@EddieMacTX1 no problem had to do it with one of my holster I got for my Icarus p365 macro. Was scrubbing my pic rail trigger guard and top of the slide. Put a hair dryer to it a few different times and reshaped it. Was my first try too
Watch your trigger guard. I tried mine in a previous holster and it was too tight. 2.0 Light bearing holster are compatible but not the non light bearings one.

Which T1 do you have?
My carry comp fits perfectly in my tier1 holster for the 2.0 compact with 4" slide length.
Yup and tier 1 makes this holster already also!
Which T1 holster do you have?
I have there old agis holster. Their Axis Elite is good to go. I run them for every handgun i own.
@brianshaw5796 Nice. I definitely plan on purchasing more for other firearms.

I modify almost all of my holsters to make draw and return easier and ensure no spots hang up. Easy.

@@spencertidd True. I ordered a tier 1 concealed specifically for this pistol.
@@EddieMacTX1how’s it fit?
@jordanjohnson7266 Sorry I've been away for a while. The tier 1 fits great. It's specifically made for the metal carry comp.

Muddyrivertactical has a iwb m&p 2.0 carry comp holster made exclusively for that model
@alexsomarriba4151 Nice. Definitely gonna check that out.
For the 2.0 Metal PC Carry Comp? I'm seeing one for the S&W M&P COMPACT Carry Comp, but not this gun.

@@efaulk81 Thanks for the info. Appreciate it.
that's a Thick A** Gun! Or maybe I'm just used to carrying micro 9's
I’m not trying to be a dick, but that gun is way too good to use the BS holster they sell at the indoor range.
