It’s never the firearm, it’s the shooter. If you can shoot well with one pistol, you can shoot well with any pistol. After 25 years of shooting and training, I have learned that. 🇺🇸👍
@@j.zhredz I saw another reviewer say aluminum was a stupid choice because it isn’t heavy enough to compensate for the recoil like other SF handguns. At the same time the reviewer was coming from a stand point of competition guns which seems silly…. But bro the way you shoot that thing seems like it would make and excellent carry gun or home defense. I’m curious to know how the polymer frame compares to a 365 X macro, hellcat or G19
Excellent video. I couldn’t decide between the metal and the polymer, but after watching your video, I am going metal all the way. Thanks for your help and making this video! Great job!
For all around use, definitely the metal. For concealed carry? Shield plus comp all day. And im a big guy. Carrying around the full size metal is going to feel like a cannon after a while. Its makes a full day of iwb carry uncomfortable
I don’t think the difference is as large as you said. I personally think they shoot nearly the same. The metal frame weighs a couple of ounces more but has no polymer flex. The polymer one weighs a little less but has polymer flex which should soak up some of the recoil. What I found is they both have a different recoil impulse. From what I’ve seen some people prefer the metal frame impulse and some prefer the polymer impulse. That’s going to be the biggest difference. I preferred the overall feel and impulse of the metal frame. So I went with the metal frame myself. But if someone wanted to save a little money, I don’t think you should feel bad about that because the guns at least to me, shoot nearly identical. The polymer frame will also conceal a bit easier as well. Which is something to consider if it’s for edc
i dont know but for me personally the metal frame shot so much better and recoil was more manageable. everyone has their preferences but your right the polymer is easier to conceal and is cheaper which is a huge plus when thinking about a carry gun 💪🏼
The slides are the same so there should be very little difference. We’re talking a slight weight difference and grip length. I think he’s saying the polymer recoils harder because he’s able to get a better grip on the metal frame…probably has larger hands.
@@joshuadjan i got medium large hands& i get a pretty good grip on both guns. the metal frame just straight out shoots flatter. you have to shoot them side by side to see what im talking about & the new cz p-09 c was even flatter shooting then the polymer carry comp.

ofc my man🙌 yeah i was thinking polymer would be just as good as metal frame but its sadly not. theres no comparison between the two . metal all the way
Full size vs compact isn't going to be a good comparison. If you compared a Glock 19 and Glock 17 you'd have the same results. I think it's less of the metal vs polymer, and moreso just the size. :/
if anything the flashlights help the recoil a bit. without the flashlights they will have a tad more recoil but the metal frame is overall a more balanced gun, therefore it shoots better and im able to get follow up shots quickly because the dot dosnt move
@@j.zhredz Thanks. It would be great to get guntubers impression on new guns as how they come out in the box, especially when comparing them, letting the comps work on their own without adding additional front weight. Hey nice content I will say watch your range shooting metal targets, the rounds fly back. I got hit by a round and had to hit the hospital and I was well over 10 yards away. All your metal target have to be angled downward so they hit the ground first.
Angle down or hanging is recommended but the biggest issue is if you shoot a plate with something that puts a dimple in the steel say a high caliber rifle, the round if it hits it right will send the shrapnel back 180°. A nice little round bowl to fire back at you.
Nice comparison. How’s the metal carry comp recoil compare to a Glock 19? And add another +1 for the Shield Plus Carry comp. I have the 3.1” ported PC version and love it

Thank you for putting out the 1,000 round review, and comparing the polymer with metal frame so quickly. Your videos help narrow down the decision. Trying to decide either the metal frame or an FN510 tactical as a first firearm.
I wouldn't say the polymer carry comp has a lot of recoil LOL, it shoots reasonably soft. It's no surprise the metal frame might have less felt recoil, it's the same recoil impulse into more mass. It certainly recoils less than the G19 it's competing with and the narrower grip is easier to get your hand around, conceals better etc.
