Humble request to art galleries/museum is that please protect such precious art works with proper means so that visitors can't touch it. Apparently when you go to court, it’s a good idea to hire a lawyer who practices law if you want to stay out of jail instead of hiring another whack job activist.

That particular painting is worth 39.9 Million. The courts should make a mandatory sentence of making them work civil service jobs, to pay for the actual cost of the painting AND the cost to clean it. The glass you don't see many times, because it's on camera but in person you will see it's tempered glass that can withstand many hits from even small caliber bullets like 9 mm. I work as a supervisor at one of the museums which I can't name due to security, but all I can say and share is that in case of a fire or anything catastrophic big none of the paintings or artwork would likely survive and since it's all insured it's got to be real and there for insurance companies to pay the owner of the museum etc. Yes some paintings might be swapped by a clone, fake or call it what you want, but we mostly only do that when repairs are being done on the actual painting. Most clones or fakes won't even stay I display for more than 3 days at a time lol

Apparently when you go to court, it’s a good idea to hire a lawyer who practices law if you want to stay out of jail instead of hiring another whack job activist.

Committing a crime is a terrible way to get what you think is a truth out there. Everybody already knows about just stop oil and there reasons and people have their own opinions. They did not achieve anything so really they just committed a crime.

There's such a backlog in the UK court system at present that it takes two years to get your day in court. Shame they were remanded on bail and not remanded in custody.

Solicitors .... delay, delay, delay. Although I thought in the UK, Solicitors weren't involved in actual trials, but only non-trial work (wills, estate, etc.)?? Isn't it a Barrister that argues at trial before a judge there?

That particular painting is worth 39.9 Million. The courts should make a mandatory sentence of making them work civil service jobs, to pay for the actual cost of the painting AND the cost to clean it. That should keep them as indentured servants for the rest of their lives. That will also stop all of the other nut jobs from doing the same thing.

The painting likely wasn't the real one. Just a good copy of it, also was behind glass. But stupid way of protesting or whatever bs they are doing.

The glass you don't see many times, because it's on camera but in person you will see it's tempered glass that can withstand many hits from even small caliber bullets like 9 mm. I work as a supervisor at one of the museums which I can't name due to security, but all I can say and share is that in case of a fire or anything catastrophic big none of the paintings or artwork would likely survive and since it's all insured it's got to be real and there for insurance companies to pay the owner of the museum etc. Yes some paintings might be swapped by a clone, fake or call it what you want, but we mostly only do that when repairs are being done on the actual painting. Most clones or fakes won't even stay I display for more than 3 days at a time lol

Exactly! All transportation takes oil. I wonder if they walked or rode their bikes to the museum. They need to be sentenced to live without any trace of oil in their day to day living - including polyester clothing, the water proof back packs, all plastics, shoes, etc.

Blame the gallery too for not keep stricter tabs on these two who are so obvious. Also after this trend stared they should of done a better job of actually protecting the painting, even if it means the viewer will have an obstructed view, It’s better than the alternative.
The worst part is they think they have the moral high ground, so will probably never change.
