I like this better than the produced Creep actually- you can see their energy and their emotions. They had to show the judges all being blown away and realizing that the wrong act got voted off…💜
The fact that the producers let the full performance play out instead of cutting it like they do other contestants that were sent home.

Seemed like genuine judges reactions to me. I mean, c'mon, they are probably only REALLY experiencing PTX for the first time here. And they had already been gushing about their performances the whole season.
I agree that the audio being clear needs to exist and the video of them singing unmasked needs to exist. Love it!
100% agree. The studio version allows us to hear everyone's parts, and this live version lets us SEE their energy and passion while singing this masterpiece of an arraignment

The reactions of Jenny and Nicole seemed a bit over-the-top but I think Ken Jeong's reaction was genuine. A few years ago, he sang "Creep" on the original Korean King of Masked Singer show so he's personally aware of how hard it is to perform the song well on stage. Robin Thicke just looked impressed - he wasn't being overly dramatic like the two ladies. (On a side note, I can't believe how much Robin sounds like his late father Alan Thicke.)

Some of the reactions may be overdone, but the kid at about 2:22 looks truly stunned.
I totally agree with the overproduced and fake reactions of the judges...even the crowd. I hated this show as well. I was only interested in PTX singing, so I watched excerpts of their pieces only.
But watching them actually sing this was great. I'm hoping they do a real official video of this and Paparazzi sometime soon.

Thanks for reacting to both! When I first heard the studio version I was torn and wasn't sure what I thought of it, but seeing this live version I like it 1000% more. If only the judges audio could be cut out 😆
I didn’t mind seeing crowd reactions towards pentatonix, because if you watch reaction videos of people seeing and hearing pentatonix for the first time, especially the “Mitch slaps” such as “Aha”, and “The Prayer” the reactors have the exact same reactions. Take for instance the couple who reacted to “The Prayer”. The husband had previously seen it but the wife had never listened to Pentatonix before.
When Mitch came in with his beautiful high tenor, she declared he was lip syncing, thought it was Kirsties voice. She got so confused when they began singing together and it became obvious that Mitch had been singing all along
nobody is complaining about just any reactions at all given that I’m also a reactor. I speak in the context of Hollywood and overly produced and clearly fake reactions which is controlled by cues and signs in the background if you’ve ever been to a reality TV show …please understand what I say before writing a paragraph about something that is a non issue

That episode I was so pissed that they were out. If you see the battle round in my opinion things should change.
I was so happy they released this with the background so cleaned up. You can hear Matt's bass and Kevin's high notes much easier.

The judges are cringey BUT o actually think they’re pretty real here specifically bc no one has EVER sang that good on the masked singer. Robin Thick and Nicole are singers and their comments towards the California rolls all season were pretty much on point. Although they both were the only ones to guess PTX the first performance
I’ve watched this performance many times. So SO good. Only they made The Masked Singer worth watching. Lol I actually think it’s a silly show.
Having heard Scott talking after being unmasked, I think he was poorly which brought back memories of their Dog Days performance.
