Morton Harket, probably the best pop singer (at least male pop singer) of all time, has the world record for longest note held in a hit single (for Summer Moved On), has a phenomenal vocal range, and is one of the most distinctive/recognizable voices out there. How anyone didn't get that it was him straightaway is mind boggling.
I can't believe he sang one of his songs!! His voice hasn't changed over the years 😵🤯
Take Me On is a well-known song by a-ha. But if you type Best male pop singer of all time you get 1. Michael Jackson 2. Elvis Presley 3. Frank Sinatra. I never heard Morton's name til just now. But I'm from the US.
Because nobody knows his name in the UK, they only recognised him when the presenter said he was that lead singer of A-Ha

I knew it was Neyo from the second he started singing. When you grow up listening to some people you know their voice. Hell, I got Justin Hawkins right. Dad couldn’t believe it.
The moment Nicola Roberts sang it was a foregone conclusion she would win hands down. Easily the best singer by far. Everyone else was a poor second.

They were all shocked at Morten Harket’s reveal because they thought it was Gary Oldman.
Just surprised Ken Jeong was ever a guest panelist on the show because he’s probably never heard of 99% of these.😂
I think he only came over to get the show kick started. Since he is not coming back (even when he can)

@@tabbsytoffcl He isn't coming back for Season 3 (even though now the borders are open) I feel that Jonathan Ross fills the stupid guesses and that Mo Gilligan really brings the panel together as a comedian who isn't dumb
I remember getting 5 of these right when they were originally unmasked. My favourite one that I got right though was Justin Hawkins. My Dad was like no it’s not. He couldn’t believe it when I was right. For me the best way to guess who they are when singing is to close your eyes and just listen.

@@kathrynnpetersen8876 Viking, Monster, Robin, Badger and Alien. Viking gave it away the most when in his video clue thing he was on the phone and kept saying aha, aha, aha. I mean how could you not get that.

Not UK, but my favourite reveal was from the US version when it turned out it was Donnie Walburg and his wife (on the panel) didn't even know XD

I knew alien was Sophie Ellis-Bextor when I first heard the voice.
Her voice is so distinct for sure.
The UK version looks so much more fun than the Australian version!

@@GHOSTbirdnatureLOVER there’s loads it originated in Korea I think it was called king of masked singer.
The costumes on the Australian version are totally epic though. The guy who makes them has been able to on-sell them to other franchises of the show so he ends up being paid twice or three times over. Good on 'im.
It’s just started airing in Georgia as well, lol! That one’s a super low budget version (and some of the costumes are more terrifying than they are impressive 😆)
It seems they’re not going to stop until the Masked Singer has become the new “*insert country name here*’s Got Talent” and every country in the world has it 😂
I wonder if half of the audience had to keep from yelling out, "It's the guy from A-ha, you idiots!" If you have ever heard Take on Me, his voice is so distinctive that you can't not recognize him. Especially when he sang his own bloody song.
I can not believe that either queen bee from season 1 or harlequin from season 2 did not make the list

In Season 3 of The Masked Singer U.K. Robobunny was my Number One favourite.
he was robbed imo. mushroom and panda were terrific but he was the real winner for me!
