I'm actually kinda proud that he reacted so well to that clip. Back then he had far less vocal training than he has now and was still mainly a rapper in the group. Now, after the Rise Up CB, he's been given a bit more recognition as a vocalist in the group, which BTW STAN TALENT he can rap AND sing, this boy can do anYthIng. There's this Vlive where Rocky showcases bits from several covers he has done and I was just blown away.

To be fair it is very hard to place people on a pedestal nowerdays, our society is so advanced/evolved to the point where everyone is incredible at what they do and so the best of the best never has a hierarchy so to speak. They generally have to be bunched together.
Honestly. Jinho and Hui are both incredible vocalists, I wish people would give them more credit :(

I don't usually trust weekly musical shows' clips, since we know most of those could be pre-recorded or edited before airing them, I'm glad there wasn't many of those (Like Daehyun at 8:14, for example, i have my doubts...)

I can assure you, that Deahyun sings like that live as well. :) I was on their concert in Germany in 2014 and he slayed everything!

Yay! You just gave a great comment about Jin's performance of Awake (second guy in your review). I really wanted to know if he was hitting the high notes properly because he really did look like he was having difficulty. So it seems he is just emoting in his solo song. :) This was a performance from last year. Can you comment on his live performance of his song Epiphany? Not sure if there is a video of it out already.

the second person in the compilation that you said it look challenging to hit the highnote, i agree. recently he changed his technique and he no longer bends downward when singing high notes! he didn't grow up singing and only started when he joined bts which is very impressive. he worked very hard to get where he is imo.
yes, u mean jin, actually he is only a begginer at this...he only started to sing when he joined BTS so its pretty amazing he can do high notes...and he alsi did a triple high note in crystal snow which i find very amazing
Jin is such a talented singer and he didn't even want to sing when he was young. I find that so awesome.

This is Jin’s first solo. Even the rest of his group didn’t know how well he would singing solo And live. He has improved tremondously. His Epiphany marks his vocal progress. Now he sings some of the high parts in BTS songs.
btstheworld bending downwards helps actually. It helps the muscles in the abdomen to relax. In that clip, Jin wasn’t using any breath support. His voice sounded gritty and sharp. I just hope that in the future he seeks vocal lessons. Apart from straining, For someone that hasn’t grown up singing and only started singing when joining the company and can sing that well is pretty impressive. I’m a hardcore ARMY. I am also a singer. BTS have taught me to believe in myself which is something that I have been struggling for so many years and thanks to them I have achieved things that never thought that I would achieve. I’m still working on loving myself though.

Thanks for that I love your reaction you have professional judge , you like GFRIEND Yuju voice so I hope You check more GFRIEND songs all their vocals are good even when they sing live , they never look tired although they have hard choreography but they keep their voices stable while dancing and singing .

Hidden Buddy Windy Windy's high note is the highest Yuju got so far, I have a friend that understands a bit about these subjects and he said it was a G5, which is incredibly high
planeta you definitely right it I was in shock when I first listen to windy windy , I know Yuju's voice and I know she can reach any high note if she practice but when i listened to windy windy's I know Yuju went to another level , she is so talent.
I hope he react to a lot of their songs not just the recorded one but I want him to watch live performances and MR remover cause gfriend sound great.

For me the most powerful male voices in kpop are VIXX Ken and Super Junior KRY... I don't mean they have the best voices or they do the highest tones, but I mean when listening to them they are powerful and unique like with small effort the Sound is soooo Strong, clean and smooth and comes out naturally, one can inmediatly recognize them... My personal opinion of course ;)

@@gabbya.6018 yeah Leo is amazing as well 💙 but his voice is lighter, so he does more effort to reach the higher pitch and it falls right in the middle between screaming and singing just for the fact that his voice is higher tone, that's why i didn't include him but he has a great voice for sure!

I like this guy the most out of all the "vocal coach react" creators. He knows what he's talking about and very rarely uses personal opinion. He uses his knowledge and actually DOES HIS JOB. the others *cough cough*, not naming names , fail to do so.
I watched one of those guys (not naming names either) that just kept kissing the group's ass and it just put me off all vocal coach reacts. I was thinking "I genuinely wanted to learn about their vocal technique, how are you any different from normal kpop reacts" I'm so thankful for this channel for saving the little hope I have left.

His face and initial reactions definitely do not lie lol. But...he is very diplomatic and gracious in his explanations in trying to explain what's happening and speaking from a place of authority (in subject matter) and yet remaining factual. I hinestly think “high” notes are overrated and overused. Every song doesn’t need it....but it is the “firmula” for the typical k-pop song.

Mika Loves You: sure, when done right......but when every group puts one in every song and the one person stops and does the iconic move that indicates that they’re singing the high note, it gets old really quickly. It like Mariah Carey’s whistle note. Hearing it in every song was overkill.

BTOB has some CRAZY vocals. I love them so much. Yuju has a beautiful voice. You should look into GFRIEND. They are so so so good. Yuju nails those high notes amazingly. Hyorin has beautiful voice. Ah I love it so much! Seventeen has beautiful vocals on top of some insane dancing (but we're here for vocals but we have to appreciate their dancing for those of us who know it). Astro is just crazy good. Just... stop Astro. Calm down. Infinite is just crazy. We won't go there. Rose's voice is beautiful. I can't comment on every artist since I'm not familiar with all of them but they're all so talented, obviously.

It’d be awesome if you did a video on vocal nodules and how they affect how you sing. A lot of idols have talked about having them and some have talked about having to change the way they were singing because they didn’t have time to recover or have surgery.

I'm going to jump in and recommend JYJ - W instead of JYJ - In Heaven, just because I personally don't think they sing that song with the greatest technique lmao W is a beautiful (and heart-wrenching song for ot5 stans) Japanese song - so you may have to be careful of copyright- and I feel like they do a great job! It'd be nice for people to see another song from JYJ instead of the usual :)

I've always wondered if Jin hits high notes right. It looks like he has trouble hitting the notes but he manages to sing them very beautifully
joon on the moon Well Jin didn’t even have any experience at all with singing when he first began. So I understand why it would look challenging. He also didn’t have any experiencing with dancing. But he definitely does sing the high notes wonderfully.

I’m unsure how often you look at comments. I saw one about vocal lessons and I thought of a pretty cool idea. Have subscribers send in a tape of them singing and then pick one or maybe even two or however many your comfortable with and then make videos of you coaching them(pick someone who is a beginner but has potential). Then other subscribers can follow along from a beginners point of view.

I think that is mostly because the original maker of the compilation didn't choose the best clips.... I mean he can't really react to anything more than what he's seeing/hearing and he probably don't know much about Vixx & Leo ^^
