    happy customer from Italy here. I've replaced both the headband and earpads in 30 minutes or so. The final result is (of course) a bit different from the original (especially for the headband) but I think I couldn't get any better than this, on the market, also because Bose doesn't provide any original headband replacement. Thanks to Headcase Audio for detailed videos and quick delivery!

    Just finished replacing the headband and ear pads. Fits perfectly. Not much difficult, need to spend a little more time on the clips. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Got my QC15 back to life.

    Just finished installing to bring some new life to my 5 year old set of QC15's. Very pleased with the end result and pricepoint! At only $30 and free shipping i could not be happier that i have new earpads and a headband. I though it would look pretty crummy but in all honesty it looks pretty good. Obviously not as good as my new QC35's but it was less than 1/10 the price. Thanks @headcaseaudio

    I just finished installing this replacement headband and will see how good a job I did as I use the headphones on some upcoming flights.If I could give some feedback to Headcase Audio, it would be good to have some understanding of how much of the headband material should be secured within/under each clip. I think I installed a bit more under the clip on the left end than on the right end. It's not until you have secured one end of the headband with a clip that you realize how much headband is left at the other end. Obviously the two ends should be clipped to the same amount but trial and error is tricky with such fiddly clips and screws. It would be good if each end of the headband had a mark showing the point where it goes under the clip.

    Very good replacement for the originals. I'm in the UK, and delivery was quick. Plus I got a free headphone cable as the original.

    Excellent demo guys thank you. Just completed replacement of the headband on my QC3's, couldn't be bothered to find the exact clip, this worked perfectly with the kit I bought from you. Highest recommendations.

    Works and basically makes an irreplaceable totally frayed headband replaceable - so bravo Headcase. But much care needed to get the zipper to seat properly - must pull the rail away from fabric to expose it

    The right ear swivel broke below the philips screw. Can I replace those?

    I really can't believe you used a dull kitchen knife for this task. You are very lucky you didn't screw up the wiring in the frame. For anyone who attempts this, go to Walmart or Michaels and get an X-acto knife. They are very cheap but extremely sharp and easy to handle in cutting detail, used for arts and crafts.

    I literally just got done installing this product. A couple notes. I used scissors to cut the headband instead of a knife and it was WAAAY easier than shown in the video. Also, the jewelers screwdriver that I was sent didn't fit into the Bose screws OR the zipper as shown. I suspect that the one in my package was too big. Thankfully I had a Kobalt jewelers screwdriver handy. Other than that, it looks like a good product. We'll see how it holds up over time!

    Why are you including longer screws if you don't use them? The finished job looked pretty messy, is that why you covered up the first side with your hand? Maybe you were too flustered by trying to cut with the wrong side of the knife blade?

    I ordered the replacement kit. I still have a problem though. The long piece of plastic that keeps tension on the metal brackets / slider broke. Do you have replacement pieces that I could buy for that?

    it broke my heart to hear the sound of you cutting open that headpiece. I don't think I could do this myself.

    • @nonsuchned94
      @nonsuchned94 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could if it's as gross as the headband on the used set I just bought. Not just flaking but practically oozing black material. Got all over my hands and the phones themselves... but it did mean I got them really cheap.

  • @perdaniel99
    @perdaniel99 9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    I will use a seam ripper instead of a knife to remove the old headband cushion. If you don't have one, ask your mother.

    • @luke666808g

      Put the old clips on and tuck the head band in at the bottom, at the top the clip doesn't hold anything in and the zipper sticks out.

  • @chris-we9lo

    for anyone watching this: never use a kitchen knife/any knife in such a fashion. always point the knife away from you when cutting. use a seam ripper, a pair of surgical scissors, or anything else that can cut without cutting/stabbing you in the process.

    • @DustinDawind
      @DustinDawind 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quality? Not sure I agree with that. I've had mine for a year and am already seeing the headband deteriorating which is why I came here. It pisses me off that a $300 set of headphones is already falling apart after a year.
