Outside in the world with normal background noise, decently good sound quality while maintaining awareness of surroundings. Good for working out. I got the buds pro and kept having the issue, if i remove the buds, the rubber tip would stay in my ear. Had to get 2 random ladies (2 seperate tines) to use tweezers to remove the tips out
This is a very comprehensive review! I have seen many on this product and this is the best of all. Thank you. I purchased these and the ONLY reason I will likely need to return them is the mic. The tunnel sound and the environment sounds while talking are too much to be understood. But they nailed it with most every other feature - especially the all day comfort. I agree with you about the wish for wireless charging and the high cost. Thank you again for this review. I will watch for more.
I like these better than my Airpod Pros. These are the ultimate in comfort. Plus, I can wear glasses and my ear piercings are not affected. These are a good balance of trade offs and performance.
The 4 current contenders for best open ear earbuds to compare with are shokz openfit, soundcore aerofit pro, 1more fit s50, and oladance ows pro. While not available in the USA the Huawei Freeclips feature their own take on this same ear clip design
I always use the immersion option, especially when having long-distance or online calls where the internet connection is low. This mode is heavy; otherwise, you need to disconnect your regular headphones and try to listen using a headset. Secondly, immersion mode is so good in the office while working. You just need more of its use or in a virtual meeting, you require more clarity. It is amazing
@etherealicer Yes and although I personally have not tried them, Flossy mentioned they are garbage compared to the Shockz & Bose and that seems to be the general consensus across the main channels
@@JConner1864I cannot really tell the difference between good headphones (on balance most quality/brand products are very similar in sound quality and good enough for me (and I suspect for Joe Average)). I think the fit in my ears and the comfort are far more noticeable than those small differences in sound-quality. That is where the LinkBuds shine, they fit my ear very well and are extremely light. Additionally, I'm using open headphones for background music, to give me a rhythm when running and so on. Or, I use them at work for phone calls (then, I often have them in for a very long time). None of these applications need great sound-quality (and I would also not notice better quality). I guess we are all different. Mike, seemed to be pretty hung up on not having wireless charging, whereas for me, that is a plus (personally, I would even prefer if the case would not hold a charge, for me, that is an unneeded additional battery).
I've tried a bunch of open earbuds (my use case is for cycling), and somewhat surprisingly the best pair I've found has been the very budget-friendly TOZO Open Buds. They have a very cool dual axis ratcheting mechanism that allows you to precisely control where they sit in your ear, and are very comfortable. I tend to leave them in my ears all day and I experience zero fatigue. I would love you to include those in any open earbud comparison/shootout video!
I just upgraded from my Tozo Open Buds to the Bose Ultra Open and I still fully agree. Yes, they sound slightly better, and the fit (to me) is slightly more comfortable, but for the price the Tozo's cannot be beat. I tried the Shokz and Oladance's, and to my surprise... Both of those had a slightly worse sound and comfort. I'll still find a good use case for them for sure!
@@Benzo97thanks for your take! I have preordered the Bose ones (they are due for release where I live on March 5), but I'm sure I'll still hang on to the Tozos as a backup. Glad to hear you find the Bose does indeed have better sound.
I own the Quiet Comfort II and while they sound awesome they irritate my ears after a short time wearing them. My ears end up itching and then they start weeping. This wetness eventually dries and I get crusty flaking. I know sounds weird but as I've read others have experienced the same issues with in ear earbuds as allergic reaction to the silicon ear piece. Since they don't sit in the ear canal I willing to give them a try especially with the 90 day try out to see if you like them. Thanks for the comprehensive review.
I have the same exact issue I have tried many different inner ear and all cause this problem. Shokz aren't a problem but I just ordered these they will be in tomorrow. After 20 mins of wearing them I will be able to tell you how my ears react. If I can wear them I will go to the Shokz Pro.
@@wheredidileaveit I’m glad I shared my issue publicly because several like yourself have come forward. I think we all suffer and think that this is the way all in ear buds are. I will say personally these are great. Don’t expect them to be noise cancelling because they don’t sit in the ear canal so these won’t block out loud ambient noise. However if you want the most comfortable ear buds these are the ones to buy. I sometimes forget I’m even wearing them. Despite not sitting in the ear canal they develop enough bass for me using the Bose app’s EQ. Good Luck.
@enockheewonyoon1001 same issue but the part that goes behind the ear is silicone and within a 1hr my ear got raw and doing the same thing. Took a trip to Minnesota and back and used them for 4 days and they are great however I'm having to sell them cause I can't wear them and my ears got worse. I've never had this problem before and now these new types of headphones are causing it ugh. It's whatever they are using to make them. Cause my old Samsungs 1st Gen no issues.
Great Video, exactly my experiences with the Bose Open Earbuds Ultra. Auto-Stop is not needed in my opinion. Due to the open design you better can press the button once than pulling the bud off your ear. The price is hurting, here in Germany they cost 350 Euros. Thats 380 Dollars 😮 Greetings!
Yes, absolutely. I recently realized that I hate the feel of the classic silicon earbuds and this is exactly the list I'm trying to look at. The category of portable and comfortable open buds is really small rn
Open ear "buds" (AKA: headphones) are sometimes called bone conducting, but they are not. Bone condition works quite well to transmit sounds, but it requires solid contact and more pressure than any headset or earphones would provide. I use an OpenEar Duet (sold under other names as well) for GPS navigation when driving my bus. It works quite well for that purpose, but the audio quality isn't good for music. (Very lacking in the lower frequencies) The microphone works well in a quiet room, but not so well in a noisy environment.
I use the LinkBuds 24/7 for TTS from my phone as I’m legally blind, recently lost mine and fleas considering these so THANK YOU for testing the Mono mode, I need Mono to extend how long earbuds can last me through the day and that would have been a pain to discover after the fact. 💞
If you remove one of the earpieces and put it in the case the other one continues to work and sound stops on the one in the case... I'm currently running software version 1.9.8 not sure if it matters but it did some updates the first day i had them
Great review. How would you compare this to the bone conduction version such as the SHOKZ OpenRun Pro - Open-Ear Bluetooth Bone Conduction Sport Headphones.
I have the open run pro from Shokz. They are good but they lack of bass. And one thing that bothers me the most is when I lie down on a bench to do chest pushes, they are in the way. And you have to crank it up the volume to the most to be able to hear the music. They are also no good for anything that your head needs lean back and rest. So I plan to get a pair of these Bose earbuds to replace the Shokz!
I like the idea of them kinda clipping/hugging your ear as one of my big bugbears is the ones that go in your ear as they are just never comfy and can pop out and the other more open kind can just fall off, this design looks like ied like it.
Check out the Soundcore C30is if you're interested in the ear clip design, great budget alternative to these and I love how it feels like I don't even have anything on my ears.
Conceptually these are actually normal earbuds (of which 12mm is actually really small to below avg for an earbud), what we colloquially call earbuds are are actually IEMs. The definition of an earbud had changed over time, but this is how the accurate use case would be.
Just returned these for the Quiet Comfort 2’s. The ultras are by far the most comfortable ear buds I’ve ever worn. But, they cut out constantly, they bleed like crazy, they have pretty poor sound quality, and the noise cancellation just isn’t there. As a musician, they just didn’t deliver for me. But, they’re really cool for what they are. A great start to a line that will hopefully be developed really well. My Quiet Comfort 2’s smashed the Ultras in every field except comfort.
A lot of people, me included cannot wear in ear buds. I sleep with a headband with speakers, listening to either relaxing sounds or an audiobook. This works well but is not ideal in hot weather. I don’t sleep on my side so that’s not a problem. I am definitely interested.
I really like that they clip on to the ear. My current earbuds are "in the ear" and they easily fallout. I can constantly feel them slowly slipping out. The only time I've used the "Find My" feature is when they fell out of my ear and fell behind a dresser, under a bed, in the dishwasher, in the bedding, in the great room, etc.
I’m an Apple disciple since 13 years but after three years I’m really fed up with Apple EarPods: 1) working out : they fall out of the ear. 2) sweat: they slowly fall out 3) hygiene: they get dirty bc of earwax. 4) infection: several times I got in ear infections bc of them. I’m cleaning them regularly but you should desinfect them daily which is annoying. - I’ll purchase the Bose QC now and will see how they work out. Wireless charging isn’t really a caveat for me, I never used wireless charging
I bought the Buds Live which undersold due to its quirky design, but its the only pair i use as it is so comfortable and no silicone going into my ear. This Bose is surely what i would perhaps buy next, thanks!!
I’ve lost so many Bose earbuds or experienced the quiet comfort headphones suddenly fail to charge ( pair after pair after pair) that I just cannot go towards Bose anymore. I find the bone conduction pro run Shokz are just brilliant, great sound, have never failed charging, and never fall off your head.
I think these would be very uncomfortable when sleeping on your side, if they stay on your ear. The back side of the clip is a hard cylinder that would be pressed into the side of your head. But I’m pretty sure they would immediately get knocked loose by the pillow. They don’t fall out easily from movement but if anything touches them they’re easily dislodged
If you have ear fatigue from normal earbuds, give these a try! I've been pleasantly surprised with them. They're insanely comfortable compared to traditional buds. I forget I have them on sometimes.
I've got Samsung Buds 2, JBL Pro 4, Bose Quiet Comfort (prior version), Pixel Buds and lastly, Status Between Pro buds. I love them all for different reasons... but my favorite of all of them are the Samsung Buds 2. Quality, comfort (even against pillow at night for listening), discreetness etc... Since you asked, might you compare against the Samsung Buds 2?
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Spent way too much time trying to pair them with my iPad. They worked with my iPhone, never my iPad. Now all set!! Thank you!!
Got similar open air earbud from a Chinese website, one of the best I ever had in term of volume, clarity and sound. Costs $7.50, last 10hrs per direct usb-c charge. My goto earbud for walking and gardening.
Bose earbuds are not something I can afford, but I wholeheartedly support Bose for their incredible products, and I hope they continue to innovate new comfortable designs like these. As an earphone enthusiast who has experienced pain from using cheaper products, I have come to love quality products that provide comfort and don't hurt the ears. I can just see the screen and I already know that the design is a hit. Thanks for the incredible review and going to 100% volume to test.
Great review! Comfort is the issue with most earbuds, so this seems like a game changer. Do we know whether there is a hearing-aid function with these?
I brought them great sound quality , As this video states their open ear buds , I found that without noise cancellation function I struggled with hearing calls , as apposed to close ear buds I now have switched too But if you need to hear your surroundings more , they may work for you
I bought a pair of the Open Run-Shokz while shopping at Sam’s a few weeks ago for $164 and gave my wife my AirPod Pro 2’s. I like the open ear to relieve me of the ear fatigue and discomfort.
The original donut shaped Sony Linkbuds (not the S version) are the closest thing to this, I love those because they are like open back headphones but people still cannot hear your music from the outside, I can wear them for hours with no discomfort (and I am an IEM hater-ear rapers) so I am eager for a side by side.
Just purchased these in Japan and I’m so happy with them so far. But also so baffled by the price difference. I paid the equivalent in yen of £180 for these and yet on the UK Bose website these are retailing at £300 - crazy!
I have beem using this for 1 week. Bad thing. No noise cancellation. One channel Bluetooth. Audio call quality sucks. Good thing. Music quality in quiet room is wow. Light and looks super cool. Batter life is good. Everyone will ask you how much and where did you get it from.
Next issue I see for these is … as a gardener working under / around and pruning shrubs and tree is , the external ear clip-on style Is likely to get caught up in branches and pulled out of my ear . My straight forward earbuds have NOT fallen out under any circumstances so far .
Great review, Mike! These definitely look like they might work well for me. I work from home and like having some music playing while I move around the house, but don’t like being in my over ear headphones for the whole day. Appreciate your take!
What I enjoy most about my earbuds is that they isolate me from much of the noise present. I like that you could ride a bike wearing these and still hear what's happening around you. I wouldn't do that with sound-isolation earbuds.
I just purchased quiet comfort 2 buds last week. Best ear buds ever. I was using some skullcandy buds. Like night and day. Never ever buy anything else but Bose ever again.
Thank you for the review. Honestly instead of turning them up to 100% for the sound leakage test I think you should just bring your phone closer to your ears. Where I live anyway public transport is reasonably quiet yet people often have to stand shoulder-to-shoulder especially at peak hour. Don't destroy your eardrums!
I am curious how truly comfortable these are. I have very, very sensitive ears. Even just wearing a Beanie that covers my ears for more than a couple hours is painful.
I bought this and returned it the same day! This is not for those who have big ears like me. It does not sit properly and very uncomfortable adjusting just to align correctly to ear canal. Otherwise if not aligned, the sound quality is poor. But this is a good review 😊 For now I will stick to my Shokz OpenMove with consistent sound quality..
Not being able to listen to just one at a time is a massive dealbreaker for me. I love my bose quiet comfort earbuds, but the one thing I absolutely hate about them is that I cannot listen to just the left side. It’s only the right side that I can listen to in mono mode. it drives me absolutely crazy and I know that the left side can work without the right side. Bose just chooses not to program it to do so.
Wow that sucks. I mainly use my AirPods in bed and lay on my side so I can’t have an air bud in the ear I’m laying on. Sucks these can’t work like that. Won’t be buying them now.
I’m using only the left earbud while watching and listening to your review and it’s working perfectly! It was my frustration with the quietcomfort 2 which you can’t use the left earbuds alone.
This video had me sold to want to buy them, until you said two things. The price and no mono mode. I normally only wear one earbud at a time for the reason of wanting to hear my surroundings. Sure, you can wear both and still be able to hear the surroundings, but I just like using one at a time. Plus when one earbud runs out of battery, I swap to the other one. Another thing is I normally use my wireless earbuds only at work. At home I use my wired ones because wired always has better sound and less delay than wireless earbuds (in my opinion). In my office I get coworkers calling me a cubicle or two away asking me questions and being able to listen to my surroundings better with these sounds amazing! I personally don't care about wireless charging. I'm still very old school even though I'm in my late 20s. Maybe if these are half off, I might consider them. Because everything else is selling me on wanting to buy them.
15:18 I sure hope your “testing” is a bit more thurough before saying a product “doesn’t seem to have that feature.” It’s not rare that earbuds start a pairing mode when the case is opened or when an earbud is taken out, and that cycle may very well have been messed up by putting one earbud back in the case while almost simultaneously taking out the other earbud and opening/closing the case within a few seconds. There may be options in the app or just sequence to avoid in order for it to work. This was like opening the case, taking the earbuds out, putting them back in, taking them out again, closing the case, plopping them in your ears, and saying that they simply don’t work if they didn’t manage to immediately pair up again after all that. Give the poor thing a few seconds, or press the button on the earbud that is out of the case to “wake it up” and let it know you’re trying to use it… In any case, i mostly wanted to know about the comfort and sound bleed and you covered those pretty well! Thanks for the info
Love the idea, and the world needs more comfortable earbuds (rather than IEMs). I do wonder how they compare to LG Tone FP9 which are my current daily driver. They are super low profile and the most comfortable I've felt of true wireless earbuds.
I've moved on to bone conduction headsets (Creative), as I ended up chronically irritating my ear by putting audio tech in it, to the point I can't tolerate anything. I might just use the bone conduction ones for sport and get these for everyday use. The price though... The Sony LinkBuds were okay and good comfort wise. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live 'beans' were good (the ANC sort worked), but they also caused me intense irritation after a while.
Really balanced review. I was hoping for you to test them in a rainy environment though. Thank you for your take on them. For me too.. the background sounds would not be that much a deal breaker if I already wanted the open design. But for someone in India, paying that much money on this design.. where the flexi material/ rubber would eventually loose the functionality faster.. it is not as easy to spend that much.
This is a good product in situations where someone has to interact and want to listen to audio at the same time. Also good for health conditions due to ear canal blockage. But it won't become a mass market product because it lacks noise cancellation. Perfect earphone will be the one that just disappears in the ear, give noise cancellation and circulates air into ear canal. All this with good bass🙂
Definitely compare them against the Sony LinkBuds!!! They are two different interpretations of what open earbuds can look like, at very different price points too. It'd be very interesting to see how they compare
Comparison suggestion: anything from Oladance, as far as im aware they were kinda first to market for this type of product, i have the first ones and have used them for about 3 years and i love them. They've made two updated models since and would like to know how they compared to these
Huswei makes the “Freeclip” which has the exact same form factor as the Bose Ultra Open. If you can snag a pair of those, woild be interested on your thoughts between the two. I understand it may be difficult to acquire these in the States though…
Using Open Air earphones for about 80% of the time. Perfect for meetings, yt, basic editing, pretty much for anything that doesn't need studio headphones. Would never go back to my in ear for long term. Still using some and using my over ear Sennheiser for music time to time, but these are multitudes more comfy and secure for me. (Shrek ears :))
I've never worn ear buds just because it's not comfortable for me to have something stuck in my ear canals. These might be the very first rear buds I'm actually interested in trying.
So I guess marketing team failed terribly, I only just randomly found this video NOW.... I do not care how they sound but the design is finally evolutionary. Ive been stuck with "fins/wings" design products for past half a decade thinking thats best we can do. But this "ear ring" kind of design is actually impressive and there can be done so much in for custom jewellery "skins" if someone wanted to.
One of the main competitors for a product like this will of course be the Shokz OpenFit buds. There's a pretty significant price difference, but I'm curious to hear if you think these Bose buds are worth the elevated cost.

I love to hear it! Thank you for watching my videos :)
review the oneplus buds 3@@MikeOBrienMedia
Despite the hate I sprang on a pair of Galaxy buds live, I adore them.
Theyre so comfy, so amazing for listening in public or at work
I got the buds pro and kept having the issue, if i remove the buds, the rubber tip would stay in my ear.
100% agree
The 4 current contenders for best open ear earbuds to compare with are shokz openfit, soundcore aerofit pro, 1more fit s50, and oladance ows pro. While not available in the USA the Huawei Freeclips feature their own take on this same ear clip design
Tozo openbuds clap all of those
Sony linkbuds are definitely solid but I admit volume is limited
I really love my Soundcore C30is as well, great budget alternative to the Bose if you're interested in the ear clip design
I agree they aren’t cheap, but they are very comfortable and secure. BTW…mine work in mono mode just fine.
Shokz Openfit seem to be the main competitor to these, would live to see them compared.
Flossy with his cat "Whiteshoes" did an outstanding review with that comparison...
Sony LinkBuds would be another.
Huawei freeclip is more direct competitor, as they are the pioneer in the proper earclip design earbuds
I also have the Tozo Open Buds and I think they have incredible sound for the price
Are they waterproof or sweatproof?
I have this exact issue, desperate to know how people get on with these
@@wheredidileaveit I’m glad I shared my issue publicly because several like yourself have come forward. Good Luck.
@thelifeofhem So, how these Bose earphones? Do they cause the ear issue?
Thats 380 Dollars 😮
Greetings!
Linkbuds, Air pods 3, Galaxy buds live, and Shokz.
i was just about comment this exact list
Yes, absolutely. I recently realized that I hate the feel of the classic silicon earbuds and this is exactly the list I'm trying to look at. The category of portable and comfortable open buds is really small rn
Maybe I'll just throw them all into one comprehensive video. What does everyone think of that?
Air Pods 3 is an almost classic design, nothing similar tothis.
Shokz are great
I hope that's good quality rubber, and it doesn't deteriorate with heat and movement.
(Very lacking in the lower frequencies) The microphone works well in a quiet room, but not so well in a noisy environment.
these are not headphones and they do not use bone conduction. These are clip-on earbuds with speakers.
Thank you, that’s very helpful
Excelent review
The only test missing was how mic performs in high winds
Very helpful. Have been a samsung buds live user for the open style and the lack of mono mode will limit me from trying these. Thanks for testing that
I’m an Apple disciple since 13 years but after three years I’m really fed up with Apple EarPods: 1) working out : they fall out of the ear.
I love the beans, got them in the copper colour and I think that they are not only a whole vibe style wise but they sound great
I have the Buds Live too. I really wish they released a version 2 of them. Sony Link Buds or these seem to be the only "open" bud options currently.
@@Mark_Williams. buds live are so good, I can see why some people hate them but they fit well for me and sound amazing too
Galaxy buds live are one of the best earphones I've ever used. I wish for version 2!
@@Mark_Williams. 100% agree!
Bose maybe on to something.
They look more like jewelry earrings.
Make them more cylindrical, thinner with gold or silver coloring and bam!
No this is exactly what I didn't know I needed. Exactly what I needed. Picture perfect, whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt!!! Thank you good sir
Compare them to the Huaweii FreeClip, which are a similar design.
I'm a mail carrier and was looking for a set of earbuds that don't look ridiculous and are open! I'll be picking these up 🤙🏽
Have you tried sleeping with them? If so, how comfortable are they when you're laying on your side?
I think these would be very uncomfortable when sleeping on your side, if they stay on your ear. The back side of the clip is a hard cylinder that would be pressed into the side of your head. But I’m pretty sure they would immediately get knocked loose by the pillow. They don’t fall out easily from movement but if anything touches them they’re easily dislodged
That (sleep comfort) was my question too. Anyone know?
If you have ear fatigue from normal earbuds, give these a try! I've been pleasantly surprised with them. They're insanely comfortable compared to traditional buds. I forget I have them on sometimes.
First time watching one of your reviews and this was great, really informative, answered all the obvious questions, nice work!
I love to hear it!
This is what I was waiting for, your reviews are always reliable
Need a hearing aid design like this .
For us hearing impaired, earbuds need independent L& R volume control
As much as we pay for premium earbuds you would think we would get all the features
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Spent way too much time trying to pair them with my iPad. They worked with my iPhone, never my iPad. Now all set!! Thank you!!
Really solid review - glad the algorithm got me here and immediately subscribed
Got similar open air earbud from a Chinese website, one of the best I ever had in term of volume, clarity and sound. Costs $7.50, last 10hrs per direct usb-c charge. My goto earbud for walking and gardening.
Few years later, those silicon rubber will degrade and fail
A few years is longer than i get out of most wireless earbuds before the battery life starts fading anyways
Doesn't really have to. There are many different types of silicon and some don't really degrade.
Thanks!
Great review! Comfort is the issue with most earbuds, so this seems like a game changer. Do we know whether there is a hearing-aid function with these?
Did Bill Skarsgård and Chris Pratt have a baby😂 this dude looks like both haha
look up Nate O'Brien, his brother. They sound like the same person.
Interesting earbuds and great video. This is the first video of yours I have seen and you sound just like your brother Nate hahaha
3:04 except for that you're an affiliate earning commission on these...
thank you for the review! The lack of noise cancelling and sound leakage are a dealbreaker for me, but very cool design!
I brought them great sound quality ,
As this video states their open ear buds , I found that without noise cancellation function I struggled with hearing calls , as apposed to close ear buds I now have switched too
But if you need to hear your surroundings more , they may work for you
Hello Mike. Excellent review and the first I've seen for these! Will you please compare them to the Shokz Opens? Thanks
I have had a few others make that same request. That could make for an interesting video
That's the Japanese economy being in the drain for you!
Buds Live is ultimate!
Next issue I see for these is … as a gardener working under / around and pruning shrubs and tree is , the external ear clip-on style Is likely to get caught up in branches and pulled out of my ear .
My straight forward earbuds have NOT fallen out under any circumstances so far .
Excellent review, son. I learned a lot, and you are veryvery good at this type of production.
his brother Nate is also a good you tube speaker.
Great review, Mike! These definitely look like they might work well for me. I work from home and like having some music playing while I move around the house, but don’t like being in my over ear headphones for the whole day. Appreciate your take!
Best tech review I have read, watched, listend to over the last 50 years
What I enjoy most about my earbuds is that they isolate me from much of the noise present. I like that you could ride a bike wearing these and still hear what's happening around you. I wouldn't do that with sound-isolation earbuds.
Such an authentic and genuine presentation
I am glad you liked the video :)
Just got mine today. I really like them. Much more comfortable than AirPods.
I saw these on Amazon just today, good to see a review..
I just purchased quiet comfort 2 buds last week.
Best ear buds ever.
I was using some skullcandy buds.
Like night and day.
Never ever buy anything else but Bose ever again.
Yeah the Plantronics voyager 3200 still sounds great especially with HD voice enabled and is open ear.
Would a white colored and a pearl on it be the kamala version? 🤔
I work in an area where we can only wear one earbud, so I can attest that one works just as well as both.
I bought this and returned it the same day! This is not for those who have big ears like me. It does not sit properly and very uncomfortable adjusting just to align correctly to ear canal. Otherwise if not aligned, the sound quality is poor. But this is a good review 😊
For now I will stick to my Shokz OpenMove with consistent sound quality..

I sure hope your “testing” is a bit more thurough before saying a product “doesn’t seem to have that feature.”
It’s not rare that earbuds start a pairing mode when the case is opened or when an earbud is taken out, and that cycle may very well have been messed up by putting one earbud back in the case while almost simultaneously taking out the other earbud and opening/closing the case within a few seconds. There may be options in the app or just sequence to avoid in order for it to work.
This was like opening the case, taking the earbuds out, putting them back in, taking them out again, closing the case, plopping them in your ears, and saying that they simply don’t work if they didn’t manage to immediately pair up again after all that. Give the poor thing a few seconds, or press the button on the earbud that is out of the case to “wake it up” and let it know you’re trying to use it…
In any case, i mostly wanted to know about the comfort and sound bleed and you covered those pretty well! Thanks for the info
Thank you for showing the inbuilt mic! It's always crap in devices like this I wish more people showed that.
But for someone in India, paying that much money on this design.. where the flexi material/ rubber would eventually loose the functionality faster.. it is not as easy to spend that much.
great review! how does it compare to airpod?
This is a good product in situations where someone has to interact and want to listen to audio at the same time. Also good for health conditions due to ear canal blockage. But it won't become a mass market product because it lacks noise cancellation.
Perfect earphone will be the one that just disappears in the ear, give noise cancellation and circulates air into ear canal. All this with good bass🙂
Definitely compare them against the Sony LinkBuds!!!
They are two different interpretations of what open earbuds can look like, at very different price points too. It'd be very interesting to see how they compare
I like this design. They mitigated the buds' probability of falling off the ears.
Very thorough review. Thanks. Good job! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Comparison suggestion: anything from Oladance, as far as im aware they were kinda first to market for this type of product, i have the first ones and have used them for about 3 years and i love them. They've made two updated models since and would like to know how they compared to these
The mic on road side is very good.
Love a comparison with Clear Arc II which are the best open ear I have heard and have tested them all except these Bose entries.
Yes, I love seeing brands try new designs! This one worked pretty well for me
Please compare with Shokz. Thanks for the review
One of the main competitors for a product like this will of course be the Shokz OpenFit buds. There's a pretty significant price difference, but I'm curious to hear if you think these Bose buds are worth the elevated cost.
