    I bought a pair of these in 2010 as my work required me to fly extensively for many years. The best £250 I ever spent and I still use them now, had to change the pads like you but that's to be expected. Nice review and info.

      Thanks! I am glad you have had a good experience with them as well. Next time you are using them try to purposefully listen to the separate instruments in the song. You will notice the amazing quality of the sound and the great instrument separation. Definitively a great purchase!

    Same, I've been through 3 wireless headphones on my xbox , the Turtle Beach 700s , (low volume), Steel Series 9X ,( audio pop cutout & crackle) , Bang & Olufsen (audio pop cutout and lack of bass, app stopped working)
    All returned .
    I dug out my old dusty QC 15 , replaced earpads and plugged into my controller.
    OH MY WOW! sounded amazing , great bass , great noise cancellation. Sadly no mic , but I see there are some work around. But strictly for game audio , My old QC 15 wipe the floor with all the wireless ones I tried.
    The QC 15 need to be released.

      Thanks for the feedback!😁 I also use these for gaming and they’re great (expect for the lack of compatible microphone). Really the best headphones I’ve ever owned!

    Listening on my Bose QC 15s that I bought in LA in 2013 ... still working perfectly, great for simple listening and noise cancelling ... and even just noise cancelling on a plane without the wire plugged in.

    Thanks, that was super helpful - there's a good deal on Craigslist list right now, but I was wondering how the technology held up after all these years! I actually like the fact that they use an AAA battery, because I have rechargeable ones.

    I actually like that they use AAA Batteries because I don’t have to charge them to use the noise cancelling feature. I just can use some pre-charged Batteries.

    • @TheTechLocker

      Using batteries has its benefits but it since you cant use the headphones without batteries you really need to some handy all the time!

    I've heard that Bose noise cancellation technology has remained essentially the same since Bose first developed the QC line of active noise cancellation headphones. If anyone can verify that, that'd be nice to know. I love the QC 15. For about $40 you can add a bluetooth 5.0 adapter that fits into the wire port on the ear cup and viola! - you now have a set of WIRELESS noise cancelling headphones that rival the Bose 700 and other high-end newer products that cost hundreds of dollars of more.

    • @TheTechLocker
      @TheTechLocker  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have exact proof of this but I’ve listened to the new ones and they sound very similar. Obviously the AAA battery is not ideal on the QC15 but it’s a small price to pay for great quality!

      I did exactly that with the cheapest Bluetooth 5.0 receiver I could find online (~$30) and can confirm that it sounds great. No big noticeable difference from when wired.
      I bought my qc15 when they first came out about 14 years ago and love them. How does the quality compare to the newer models? Is it worth paying to ‘upgrade’ to the newer model?

      I found the max level quite high on mine but I had the cable setting on “high”. You can switch between “low” and “high” on the top of the cable.
