2. Macedonians do not relate to the geographically close Greeks, who do not belong to the older Mediterranean base;
3. Greeks have significant kinship with the sub-Saharan (Ethiopian) people, which separates them from other Mediterranean groups.
In the Study, based on the results, the researchers state that: "This supports the theory that the Macedonians are one of the most ancient peoples that exists in the Balkans, it seems long before the arrival of the Mycenaean Greeks about 2,000 years before Christ". As a Bulgarian, I can understand about 100% of their language, it used to be 90% from the start, because of the Serbian influence 1945-1991 but that got fixed when I spent a couple of days learning it. Went to Skopje and nobody knew I was from 🇧🇬.
I remember years ago, when I was young, around 10yo, I used to play counter-strike 1.6, I joined a server with one more player in it and I asked him in Bulgarian, because back then I didn't knew english, where he was from. He said "Macedonia" it was really strange to me and I asked him how he could understand me, he said "I don't know "
I was 10, he was probably 10 as well, so neither of us paid much attention to this small conversation, but years later, now, I can see the truth.

Let's just call it Skopje or Vardarska, its more accurate. Also i would like to mention a third reason for Tito's actions. He didn't just want to weaken Serbia and Bulgaria, he wanted to also have a claim to the real Macedonia of Greece in order to capture thessaloniki one day and gain access to the aegean. He succeeded only in his first 2 goals but the problem still remains. The modern country called Republic of North Macedonia was NEVER called Macedonia in its slavic history prior to 1944. 1) Macedonians were described by ancient Historians as a different tribe or clan, but they were still a Greek tribe, ancient Greece was made up of hundreds of tribes.
2) Slav Macedonians are just Bulgarians that inhabited the the northern parts of the region of Macedonia where they settled in Medieval times who wanted to be independent from their Bulgarian brothers in the north

There were no such thing as "Macedonians" during the Greek war of independence. The ancient Greek tribe of Macedonians like other ancient Greek tribes, e.g Spartans, Boeotians, Thessalians, Milesians Athenians etc etc etc etc had long lost their individual tribal identities to become Roman-Greeks (Byzantines) after Greece had fallen to Rome.

@ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΙΑ ΔΟ ΙΝΔΙΑ There were no Albanians in Greece. There were Arvanites, a people of mixed Greek/Albanian ancestry such as the Souliotes of which many had Greek surnames. The Albanians who were brought into Greece by the Venetians had merged so much with the Greeks that they had acquired Greek prejudices and sensibilites. They thus did not identify as Albanians but as Arvanites.
