FYROM is full of Bulgarians and Albanians. They are Slavic people who spoke Bulgarian prior to becoming part of Yugoslavia and they speak a Slavic language. The Slavic people didn't even come to Europe until around the 5th or 6th century AD... but they think Alexander the Great was their ancestors all because their name is "Macedonia". The ancient Macedonia spoke Greek and an overwhelming majority of their ruins and writing etc. was found in Northern Greece..... NOT FYROM.... but hey whatever floats their boat 😂😂😂

@@NikolaBent976 Perhaps you don't know the basic stuff. First of all your nickname is an oxymoron. Mainstream historiography says that the Slavs migrated to the Balkans in the 6th c AD.
SR Macedonia in 1944 was not an independent country. We are talking about countries, otherwise we can consider the Roman state of Achaea as 'Greece'... although there are many inscriptions eons before that with the word 'Hellas' and 'Hellenes' but the modern concept of a country didn't exist then.
There were no Macedonians before the end of the 19th century. They identified as Bulgarians. Slowly since the end of the 19th c they started to emerge due to political manipulation.
Macedonia was liberated from the Ottomans and Greeks took the part of proper Macedonia (i.e. ancient Macedonia before the conquests which was a Greek doric kingdom), except for some small parts in the south of North Macedonia. NM''s mostly occupies the region of ancient Paeonia and Dardania.

    • @manuel8887

Aart Bruneel Yeah, but everybody just calls it "Luxembourg", just like everybody says "Russia" instead of "Russian Federation" or "South Korea" instead of "Republic of Korea" or "Afghanistan" instead of "Islamic Republic of Afghanistan", and so on. So "Republic of Macedonia" is just as good as "Former Yugoslav Republic". It is in rare cases that a country goes by their full official name, like "Dominican Republic" or "United Arab Emirates" or "Central African Republic" "Czech Republic" (which has recently installed a shortened version "Czechia") or both of the Congos, and so on. They should really get around to being "West Congo" and "East Congo", or something like that, by the way. Anyway, my point is that "Former Yugoslav" has no purpose in its name.

Are you kidding? What exactly does this video prove? The DNA was named "macedonian" because it applies to today's "Macedonians", as you insist on calling yourselves. "The" Science has confirmed that they haven't discovered any DNA from the ancient Macedonians, so they cannot compare your present DNA with the ancient one to find out if they are your ancestors.
I don't think you understand how DNA matching works. And please, do you think that posting videos from youtube will strengthen your arguments? Really..?

    • @69MindOverMatter69
      @69MindOverMatter69 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no it doesn't !!!
and your "barbarian" argument has no actual value...
it is a fact that our ancestors called certain tribes barbaric at certain time-frames like the Pelasgians and others BUT YOU ARE IN NO POSITION to comprehend what our ancestors really meant by "barbarian" and the REASON why they described people with this word !!!!!
an ancient Greek calling some group of people "barbarians" DOES NOT automatically mean that they did not share the same blood relatives and ancestors !!! ...in most of the cases it did BUT in the cases of the Pelasgians, the Macedonians and others it did NOT...
furthermore the youtube video that you link to, is filled with MANIPULATIONS and MISTRANSLATIONS of words that FAIL TO MEET THE STANDARDS OF THE SCIENCE OF HISTORY (and that's why all the comments are disabled...because no one wants to answer for all the lies the video is spreading) so here is just a glimpse of just ONE of the video's fallacies that have been answered...

Greek Macedonia never was, but became “greek”, thanks to Bucharest Treaty and importing massive population in 1912-13 and in 1921-22 when refuges from Asia Minor came. There was NO greek majority in Macedonia. So we made it “greek” with a population exchange, through difficult events, that survived as a people, but not just us, but other people in this region. Although you have a point in your statement, there are more things in this dispute and not only the name. If they prefered the name Republic of Northern Macedonia or Republic of Slavic Macedonia, we the Greeks would not have that much of a problem. The problem is that the FYROM lays official claim on a very large piece of land in Greece (or at least they did back in the 90s). If you ask me personally I believe there is no problem for me with them thinking they are Macedonians. In Geographical/Regional terms they are not wrong. But there is no seperate nation of Macedonians. There are Slavic, Greek and Bulgarian Macedonians but only in the Regional sense of the word.

Albania and North Macedonia have never had a border issue. At no point in our histories has Albania ever "not recognised" North Macedonia's western border. The only issue we have had with them is in regards to the rights of the Albanian community that lives in the country, and the census numbers which have historically had a tendency of decreasing the official amount of ethnic Albanians living in North Macedonia. Other than that, I'd say we actually get along relatively well.

He was born in Pella in 356 BC and succeeded his father Philip II to the throne at the age of twenty. He spent most of his ruling years on an unprecedented military campaign through Asia and northeast Africa, and he had created one of the largest empires of the ancient world by the age of thirty, stretching from Greece to northwestern India. He was undefeated in battle and is widely considered one of history's most successful military commanders... @ Bulgarians are Tatars Look, there is a region of Greece called Macedonia, this is where Alexander the Great was born, firstly Alexander the Great was not Slavic in any way like the people from FYROM in modern-day. He was actually Greek and ethnically Illyrian, at that time Greek cities states are fighting against "Greek Macedonia" also known as "the kingdom of Macedonia" as the "Greek Macedonian" expanded their empire, from modern-day Thessaloniki to Corinth and Athens, Firstly to counter @Bulgarians are Tatars argument the FYROM doesn't exist only the "Greek Macedonia" aka modern-day Thessaloniki, also Greece did exist but instead of one united entity, Greece was multiple cities fighting against each other.

What was the Greeks case? Simply, it was that the former Yugoslav republic of Makedonija was nothing but an invention of Tito's as a bridgehead for the penetration and annexation of Greece's northern province, which is the real Macedonia with its capital at Salonika. Tito's Makedonija did not ever exist as a name on any map 50 years ago. But after 1945 Tito began openly talking of a Greater Macedonia that would include not only his small, artificial province but also the major Greek province that he called Aegean Macedonia. He pursued this policy not only by state-controlled propaganda but also by semi-clandestine warfare.
The optimists should not forget that both Serbia and Bulgaria have had historic claims on Greek Macedonia, however ill-based. It was from Belgrade and Sofia that the last assault on Greek sovereignty was launched. Are the present incumbents of power in Belgrade and Sofia today more trustworthy? They too have potential claims against the ex-Yugoslav republic, whereas the Greeks have none apart from the usurpation of the name ..What reamins today is North Macedonia who are a slavic people who are very closely related to the Bulgarians and to some what standards to the Serbs and the Albanians and we also have have Greek Macedonia which is historically connected to the Ancient Greek Macedonia who were realted by language customs and beliving in the ancient Greek Gods from Antiquity...
