In my opinion this Leaf razor is the best razor I’ve ever used! I have other DE saftey razors, but don’t use them anymore after getting this Leaf. It’s soo easy and smooth you don’t have to worry about cutting yourself. I get a BBS shave every time with this razor it’s that amazing!
I actually ordered one of these a couple weeks ago for my girlfriend. She hates the waste associated with disposable razors so I spent some time looking up a good alternative to a cartridge but without the learning curve of a safety razor. I ended up picking this one because it didn’t take proprietary single edged blades which were over priced. I have a couple hundred blades she can pick from, plenty of which I’m not a fan of using on my face. So far she loves it for her legs, which I think may be it’s best market. I plan to snatch it and try it on my face a couple times to see if I’m into it, but I don’t really have any issues using my safety razor so I’m unsure if I’d buy one for myself.
Aww, I love your personality. You are a very kind and loving person. 😊 I had to subscribe. I just bought a safety razor to try for the first time. I am nervous, but seeing your videos are giving me confidence and making me laugh. I use electric shavers because disposable razors would irritate my skin, but I wanted to try a safety razor since my electric shaver takes a while to achieve a smooth shave. Thank you for sharing your positive and lovable personality with us and helping us to become confident shavers. ☺❤ We are really grateful.
@@SinatraLennon I just finished trying the safety razor! I love it very much! (^.^) It really did give me the closest shave that I ever had. I was so nervous that I was going to cut myself, but I am so thankful that I didn't. I kept recalling how you held your safety razor while shaving. Thank you so much for your guidance 🤗
Thnx for a second trial review of the Leaf Razor !I highly respect and value all your reviews /takes on razors products brushes soaps etc . I am now sticking with my vintage Gillette Doubled Edge /Gem Micromatic razor and Merkur Futur replica razor for my daily traditional wet shaving routine
Great that you redid this. I agree for me a Fatboy or Slim or Rockwell 6 or RazoRock BBS hit my important issues for my face. But leg and head shavers rave about the Leaf. Now we have the metal Twig, which as you say is a great face shaver.
I just started using the Rockwell DE safety razor and so far I love it. I believe I'm a changed man, but I have to admit, the leaf shaver has my interest. I also like the twig idea.
I couldn’t agree more; all this time i had been happy with my classic double edge razors then this leaf ad poop d up on Facebook and prompts me to consider leaving my tried and true double edge safety razors which, I had spent years of spilling blood from cutting myself in the process of learning to use. I refuse to be persuaded by this mass produced, pot metal, razor; my classic Gillette and Schlick razors were all American made and of solid brass. I pass on these leaf gimmicks
A Gillette angled head handle with single blade safety razors. This razor takes MORE care to prevent nicks and cuts than a cartridge type. At $85 it better be the last razor handle you ever buy.
I actually hadn't seen this video when I decided to purchase it. I thought by the first video you made, that there wasn't second one and I purchased it only because of what they stand for in terms of less plastic waste. I can say that the advice you got in the first video is indeed true as that is what I did unknowingly and it worked great for me. I think I still prefer using a de for when cutting down 2+ week growth on my face, but I like this razor a lot.
I’m 54 and have used a Gillette Sensor for as long as I can remember. More than 2 blades always seemed ridiculous to me. The price went up again. I’m done. I also realized how wasteful they are. I’m having trouble adjusting to a DE razor though. Lots of cuts and shaving takes a long time. I’m going to stick it out for a little longer, but the Leaf is my backup plan. Apparently they listened to you when you made this video. They have a 30 day money back guarantee. Come to think of it maybe I’ll just go ahead and order one. Nothing to lose by trying.
The Thorn or Twig by Leaf could do you right. It’s a single bladed safety razor that uses normal safety razor blades snapped into two. Easier than a DE razor and maneuverable as heck. Let me know how you like it!
Only reason I want to try a leaf is for head shaving. I don’t mind shaving my head with any of my DE razors (I enjoy it) but still am curious about the Leaf enough to try it.
You are a true gentleman. Few reviewers would go the extra mile you have. I am going to stick with my 1965 Lady Gillette and Personna blades. If I want the "experience" of a cartridge razor, I will buy Barbasol (really Dorco) disposables like I use for my travel razor (5 for $1).
I think this kind of razor will be really popular with women who like the mild feel of cartridge razors but want a more environmentally friendly option than disposables. It might also be a good “transition” razor for people too scared to jump straight from cartridge to DE.
Yup I'm one of those women trying to reduce waste. Just picked one of these up for a crazy $150+ tax in Canada. Thanks for testing and giving us your honest advice and tips. I'll be testing out the Leaf in sunny Costa Rica next week💦
Good Review 👍🏻👍🏻 As always. Not a lot of people like safety razors. When I try safety razors I cut myself bad. And watch a few TH-cam videos. And little by little I got the hang of it. I need to start using the again. I’ve been using the cartridge razors again. But will use the safe razor also. From rock well.
The whole point of using old school type razors is not having to use 3 blades I just ordered the startup package for the one blade if it's good I'm going to move them get the Genesis one I started using a regular old butterfly safety razor again that's what I learned how to shave on as a kid went back to and I feel that's the best way to shave but I am willing to try these new razors I just ordered the one blade the cheap one for now... I'm also going to give the Supply Company razor a shot but I'm not too keen on buying a razor like this that has 3 blades I might as well just use a cartridge
Good morning bro it’s Jon good morning guy it’s awesome how you try deferent Razors your so funny and a good guy always enjoy your video every time guy
This is the best Razor that I have been using for shaving my head, before I'm using Gillette Fusion Mach 5 that is no way close to the performance of Leaf Razor. It is smooth, close and faster than using with the 5 blade catridge.
Laughed at the brief "old Fatboy lecturing the sullen teen Leaf" bit. Strictly speaking, you should also do a shave with blades in the 1 and 3 positions....just kidding😉
Do you feel it’s a easy razor blade to assemble for 🪒 shaving. And do you recommend this razor 🪒 for thick 🧔 beards. I shave mines off. But will shave most likely twice a week
I think I have pretty much beat the Leaf to death, but sometime in the future, I would like to see you shave 1) with the bottom blade only, and with the bottom and the blade above it. It seems to me that if you use 3 shards you are going to alot of trouble to replicate a Mach 3 which we already have, I also wonder why you didn't try the little, trimmer razor for the nostril hairs right below the nose. I think you have a tougher beard than mine because I don't have to press any harder with my Mach 3 than my Rex Ambassador. I do get more tugging however. Cheers, Ron in Memphis
Would you say this is easier to use than a safety razor? I want to ditch disposeable razers but i'm scared to use a safety razor as I'm more used to cartidge razors with their pivots.
Edison, I was scared of safety razors when I first got one. I don't think I finished shaving an entire cheek before I realized there was next to nothing to be scared of. I wouldn't even be scared to drunk-shave after a few months practice.
@@clownworldresidentii5184 Ah, thanks. Didn't know about that one... I'll order one. I managed to get a Broman off of Ebay, and a Katana from Aliexpress. I like both of those. I have the Leaf, but it doesn't really appeal to me with the large razor head.
Cant help but think if you go full bladed leaf, you might as well use cartridges and use techniques to make them last longer. Defender is my go-to cartridge for that.

Anyone use this for head shaving? Love DE shaving but cannot for the life of me use a DE razor on my head. Cartridge is just so much better in that regard.
No matter how carefull i shave i keep cutting myself with the leaf razor either with 2 or 3 blades. With my "normal" blades i can shave like a wildman without a single cut; for 100 euro's a complete waste.
Hi. Gonna have to pass on this razor I think. Just to much hassle loading and at best, not a great improvement over your average de razor. Thanks for the video.
I love my Leaf razor & Twig Sculptor trimmer. 1 week ago yesterday, I took down a 7 day old heavy beard in 3.5 passes. You didn't press hard enough to allow the pioting head to do its job and with all 3 slots loaded with Feather blades you can take down a heavy beard like I did. You can see the video here: th-cam.com/video/R0C6OexxN9k/w-d-xo.html
If you can’t afford to watch the whole thing you need only to see just the bit at 11:32 and you‘ll hear everything you need to know. Made my day.
Saw this time stamp just as I came upon that part of the video and had a good laugh. Definitely a good nugget of wisdom there ;)
Love it when a TH-camr listens to the fans, Kudos to you good sir! Your videos always bring me wholesome relaxation.
Thanks for being a part of the fun!

Inferior shave at a much higher price it seems! Wanted to like it because it looked stylish lol
It was a cool looking razor, but...
I don’t have the leaf, but what I’ve heard and seen bottom 2 blades way to go👍🥃
I just shaved with the leaf, I would have like if the spring on the head was a bit stuffer. Other than that, it was ok but safer than a safety razor

Aaargh!
I use my "trimmer blade" every day, especially around my moustache.
I think the twig is meant to trim under the nose where the leaf misses.
Possibly, but I don’t want two devices to do the job that one should.
Mmmm! Why didn’t they fix the fourth blade, reversed on top! And call it a fusion.🤣

All good ideas, as soon as this whole Leaf Shaver ordeal is behind us! 😏
How is it for razor bumps after? Thanks
they could make the blades adjustable to stand them out a little more.
Great video, weird razor...well anyway, ever tried a Feather Shavette??? They give really close shaves with their sillysharp Superblades 😁😋.
Thank you!
I guess the moving head makes it difficult to get a smooth shave....
Do you think the Leaf Shave razor with three blades in it is better or not than the three bladed Gillette Mach 3 razor?
The head is probably larger on the Leaf, so harder to shave under the nose.
Wow, you look so different. I didn't realise how much different you look.
Skinnier then!
11:31 hahaha
I’ll still shave with my mule. One blade is still better than 3. My mule can get under the nose, and the leaf cannot. Kinda pissed me off about that.
Have u ever tried focus r 48 or occam's single edge safety razors
Rockwell ftw!

Does your face feel agitated shaving every day. Or your face is adjusted to shaving every day so it doesn’t affect you?
Yeah, I don’t get much irritation, but sometimes I do. That’s when I take a break for a day or two.
SinatraLennon Thank You. For writing. I have the Rockwell. I need to start using that again. Since I shave my beard off. I enjoy it !
