If an employee’s salary is not paid on time, then the employee can approach the labour court. This suit can be filed under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. However, the suit must be filed within 1 year from the date from which the salary is due. The Labour Court has to decide the case within 3 months.

A company I worked for still owes me salary. On being asked, they were like they are in money crisis and don't know when can can they pay me, it could even take an year. (they have no intent of paying back and playing it safe here and they never denied paying me)

@@exoticbirdspets They forced me to work for 15 days..So I accepted to work for 1 week only as my health was not good and that was the reason why I gave resigning so they still after working for 1 week they didn’t clear my salary so I coercively had to involve my parents..My mother went there politely asked for money she said For my diagnosis I urgently need money so it would be great if they clear it soon so they called her other day and paid all my pending salary 😅 Now I am relaxed 😌
